From 2013-2018, Cadillac CUE displays had defective touch panels from the factory due to incorrect glue specification. Over time, the screens would frequently develop spider cracks, condensation, and loss of touch response.
GM will not authorize repair out of warranty, so the only solution for Cadillac owners is to live with it- or purchase an entire new CUE head unit for $1,700 USD plus programming costs.
If you are relatively handy, you can replace just the display yourself in a couple hours with hand tools- no reprogramming needed. Alternatively, some of my customers have a stereo shop do the installation.
The CUESCREENS display is the OEM style that retains the proximity sensor, anti glare layer, improved connector, and rubber gasket seal.
Most of the lower cost Chinese displays on eBay do not have these functions, and will result the screen not being visible in daylight, and poor touch performance.
It’s best to buy the highest quality part up front, rather than do the installation twice after being disappointed with the competitors.

Good luck with this car everybody my whole sound just dropped I know it's the amplifier bc of caddilac srx fix it yourself and I was hoping it would get fixed I've spent $120 in gas ⛽ going to these places trying to avoid caddilac dealer and over paying and I'm homeless and need my car to work to get to the hospital 🏥 I have to go to and errands hopefully I can figure out what to do with this situation...

Same here. I came outside 1 morning n my screen started to web from the inside. I took it to the dealer and they told me over 1300. Should’ve recalled these especially after so many people having the same issue. Def my last!
My screen lost its connection function, It had no scratches at all ,It was very deceiving, The screen still looked new. I purchased the Cue-screen, Installed it myself,Took about 2 hours, Once completed, All my functions worked like new again, And OMG! it saved me over $2000.00 Couldn't be more satisfied. I asked Cadillac about this and they wanted $2200 . I am getting this car fixed and getting rid of it . I will NEVER EVER buy another GM product as little no as I live . This is purely TERRIBLE DISHONOURABLE bad service poor n behalf of Cadillac.
Yeah, I mean its pretty sad that such a bad design error happened, especially across every cadillac model for 5 years. Honestly though, for $150 and a couple hours, it can be fully repaired. Compared to some other manufacturers design flaws, like Nissan CVT's for example, this is pretty low cost to fix.

CUE SCREENS - I inspected extremely close and I thought it was better than the original. I’m so glad I found the you Tube Channel. The screen itself was easy, the tons of screws to get the console out was a pain. Functioned great, and the little windows for the proximity sensors worked great too

You can buy a Mercedes or BMW that spend more time in the shop rather than drive. It’s a simple problem, no big deal..
Mine got webbed real bad too, it's a crime shame that's there's no recall for this issue! It happened to my 2014 Cadillac ATS .

GM only recalls in certain errors
-Safety
-Emmissions
It why you won't see a recall. If they did that they might as well recall every small issues common with all cars
@@47rlc I get what you're saying, but at the same time it's a defective part that's in the 2013 to 2017 of certain models of these cars and Cadillac/GM has to know about it. It's not our fault the cue system becomes unresponsive and webbed up, but yet Cadillac wants to charge us $1700 out of pocket to repair an issue which is not our fault.
@@paulwaugh5652 i know what your saying it sucks to pay it for sure. I mean look at the 3100/3400/3800/3500 gm put in pontiacs oldsmobile chevys buicks ect..ect.. they had head gasket failure. Irs about the same amount of money but they won't recall it. Look at the early 2000's car chevy cavalier , pontiac grand am, ect.

I will keep your webpage just in case I need to do this little fix again and need a non-gel replacement. And if I have to do It again it should easier the second time anyway.

Unfortunately 2 months after U replaced my screen I had to trade in my Cadillac, but this touchscreen worked like champ! I can only how much I would have lost on my trade in without this great screen. Thanks again.

Mathew Stewart I highly recommend this touchscreen glass, but I will warn you if you replace it yourself it takes some patients. But we will certainly be glad that you did it. Unfortunately at about two months after I replaced mine I was worn by the dealership during an oil change that I could expect to be having transmission trouble soon. Which would cost around 4000 to fix. I ended up trading it in for a 2017 Nissan Texas Titan. I wish you luck!

I just called the dealership and asked if they have had other Cadillacs with this problem. She replied with an answer of "no".

Mine went out in my 2013 ATS4 Performance in October.
After communicating with Cadillac Infotainment Customer Service and the dealership several times, the dealer replaced the entire Cue system at no charge even though the warranty had expired. There were still some problems and they replaced it with another one, again at no charge. It’s been working like new since. I was lucky. I hope the new one lasts until I get tired of the car and want a new one but I love the car.

Charles Gharamti Yeah , the car was purchased new by the owner of the dealerships secretary. I purchased it from them in 2016 and it only had 29,000 miles on it. When the Cue was failing, it only had 36,000 miles on it and I persuaded them to replace it due to the low miles. Maybe because of prior ownerships connection to the dealership and the low miles helped in getting it replaced. I was preparing to replace the screen when I got the good news that they would replace it. What ever the reason, I do feel I was one of the lucky ones.

i have the spider webbing issue, but the the screen is mostly responsive no issues there, the spider webbing is at the bottom Left of the screen, can it go to other places of the screen with time ?
dealer asked me to pay 450+$ for a New system (but i dont wish to pay it) is this a guaranteed solution for the problem ? can your product crack again in the future (because am planning to sell the car)

If they sound familar with the job, it's probably a good bet. If they sound confused, just move on down the list until you find someone that sounds experienced.

My 2013 XTS Cue is froze up.....what a let down from a car that cost $55 k new......don't call Cadillac....a tec with talk to you and just blow you off.....they want you to go to a Cadillac dealership and replace unit for new one $$$$$....you will get robbed that sorry day you do this......This is my last Caddy.....ive owned 8 through the years...

This is not a how to.
GM makes there stuff to fail. So you will spend more money at there dealerships. In there eyes it not a design fail it's a design success. Stuff like this is why people are done with GM.
