KoRn has been my favorite band for 30 years now so I know I'm biased when I say this, but Brian is such an awesome dude. Always love hearing from him so thanks for posting this.
I'm so glad to be alive while koRn is still up and playing, although I wish I could've seen them when they first started out, they're still my favorite band to this day! I went and saw them live in the Tacoma Dome on october 10th with Gojira and Spiritbox, absolutely blew me away. I'm 15 years old and I'm planning on starting a band inspired from KoRn or in that range of music, wish me luck and happy 30th anniversary KoRn!!! 💝💝💝
Me too & I'm 39!! My son was jamming out with me when he was little to Korn with me, so he is a Korn fan also & he's 21!! I love them they're my favorite band ever!! I've seen them in concert 4 times and I'd see them a million more if I could!! Even though the days where people were turning against them after Brian left & people were saying that their music was bad, I still stuck with them & went & seen them in concert & it was so awesome!! Jonathan came out with the bagpipes and it was in an arena where it echoed just right so it didn't get too loud, but it was just so awesome to see that live!! Jonathan has just such an awesome unique voice and this whole band has gotten me through some really rough times in the past also!! I love them & I'm so happy Brian came back and they're kicking a** still!! I am personally a fan of the songs that they mixed with the electronic music!! I'm a fan of both genres so that was especially a treat for me!! ❤❤❤
Saw Korn at the Sydney Superdome in April 2006 and then in 2014 for Soundwave. I wish I was old enough to see them in 1999 at the BDO, they were at their peak then.
@@kdog6793 He already has. He has a new K7 variant on the background of the video and he has been playing that one for the past few months on concerts as well. He is no longer listed with ESP.
@@northtimo666 That is so awesome. I actually knew he started playing the K7 again but I wasn't sure it was a new variant. Now we just need Head and Munk to play their K7's and get David and Fieldy back and that would be perfect.
It's no doubt that there is a whole new generation discovering Korn, sparking the rediscovery of the generation that grew up listening to them except it's even bigger now.....we grew up and can now connect all of the elements of their music including the lyrics. There's that emotional factor that automatically fills your body and soul and that has not been recreated. I think a really cool factor in having been a part of the days when korn was heavily addicted to hard drugs is seeing them NOW - Brian as a believer in Christ, Jonathon living his best life being in love and has 2 sons, who get the chance to have a clean Dad who continues to inspire them and motivates them in whatever they love doing. And they are STILL playing that same music today and I have a feeling it still gives them such satisfaction. Although they were on drugs, and sick and going through some heavy stuff, they composed and created music for healing, not to glorify what they were doing but as a way to channel the core reasons they were suffering. ❤ ps. i know I typed this with a bunch of run on sentences and bad grammer LOL
Im glad he isnt like the rest of these old heads saying certain genres are dead...im glad they are recognizing the amount music out there is just great i think music is going to be having a huge boom as well
You really think SOAD would go back on your together? I mean that would be awesome if they did! I would definitely attend that concert, how could you miss it? That would be the show of a lifetime!! Maybe add Staind on there, but it's still an awesome lineup! And Fred Durst is too old to start a riot now so there wouldn't be any worries with that lol 😉🤤🔥💯🤘
It's funny I used to blow off Korn and limp Bizkit just because mostly I thought they were too big and i mostly into underground stuff, you know what I mean, but now I see this stuff with them and I realize they're all pretty cool dudes and they're just legit doing their thing and very humble. I used to hate fred durst and I see stuff with him now and I'm like damn that dude's totally different than what I thought and everything he did back in the day was basically just to put on a show, it wasn't even who he was.
Head... You were and still are my idol. Holy shit did I try to emulate you as an 18 year old when you guys came out in 95 and absolutely DESTROYED every band in the scene. There was no one back then that could hold up under the onslaught of Ball Tongue or Predictable or Shoots and Ladders. I've seen you guys 5 times but the last show I saw you at was Woodstock 99. Which was an amazing yet AWFUL experience... Kind of like you that night. I could tell you were off and the guys next to me could tell the energy wasn't matching. You still killed it.. but Rebecca and meth ruined the time of your life. I'm a lot like you when I'm not trying to be. I'll always relate to that night. And to see you happy makes me happy. I'm a believer in the kingdom of the God the Father and his Son. I call Jesus NAILS. Because he was tough and doesn't get the credit because he was not the Father and had to be the humble and the redeemer... Not the Alpha Omega who dispenses Devine punishment. The people at Woodstock who raped and robbed and you know who you are... Will be judged. Sorry I got off topic! I love you guys you saved me before I knew anything other than anger and sadness. You gave me savagery. Btw your first 5 Albums are all fucking masterpiece status but here they are in order of HOLYSHITHOW.. ARE THEY THIS GOOD?!? 1. KORN 2.ISSUES 3.LIFE IS PEACHY 4.UNTOUCHABLES 5.FOLLOW THE LEADER. that's my 2 cents Brian HEAD Welch. Thanks for being awesome.
@pistonhedd so an 8 string would pretty much put me on the floor compared to Head 😂? The way Head had looked on stage back in the day, bent in half, was because that was the only way he could stretch his fingers to play the notes. And it created their trademark presence on stage 😂.
@@HailTheApocalypse The fretboard on a 8 is obviously wider, which makes the fingers stretch more. So after a few times playing an 8, playing a 7 could be a doddle 🤘😎
@@pistonhedd I've seen some tool on Temu I think it was. It looks like brass knuckles lol. But it's a tool to stretch your fret fingers. It's painful just looking at it 😂.
if those guys went back and explored their psychedelic sound, texture and melody of like ftl, lip instead of trying to go heavier darker heavier darker and heavier darker.. they might have something
The road to recognition is no longer about raw talent but navigating a noisy over saturated digital landscape, and having rich/ well off parents- you aren't it if your gear isn't pricey. Tons of extremely talented kids with insane momentum are stopped dead in their tracks because they don't have a $5000 amp or a 8 string baritone fan fretted guitar with the latest fashion trends. Metal was about music now it's just a fashion statement. Why it all sounds the same, everyone's using the same safe formula.
Bro if they sound like ass nobody's going to listen to them no matter how rich they are...no matter how expensive their gear is...your argument make no sense bro lol
Brian is like the most chillled, humble guy you can imagine. And he really pays attention when he talks to someone.
Literally the opposite of what he was before he left Korn 🤣

The thing is that nobody sounds like korn. Only korn is korn and that’s why young people are into them because it’s unique and timeless
I would love to own an Ibanez K-7, an Ibanez Apex, or Brian's signature ESP 7 string! That Ibanez K-7 behind Brian looks beautiful!
I think there will be a new Ibanez K7 variant next year. Head has been playing that bad boy the past few months!
I’m hoping he partners back with Ibanez

I wish they could reinvent the original stage show for part of a tour some time, I saw them in 97 at Festival Hall Brisbane, and that was insane
For sure I saw
The Sydney show on the 97’tour
What a show that was 👍
I was at Festival Hall in Melbourne. It was only $40!

Got the ticket from the Sydney Korn show 97
37 bucks!!

I think it's the perfect time for a big four tour: Korn, Slipknot, Soad, Limp Bizkit. The list maybe changed in the end and I would still go anyway.
I have a feeling there will be a KoRn/SOAD summer tour during the summer of 2025.
