Check out what records they pulled out the bins.

I love how Jonathan isn't just dark for the sake of being dark. He doesn't hestitate to list some influnces that aren't edgy at all. Much respect for authenticity.
JD has to be one of the most down to earth frontman out there... you can tell he was a musical sponge and took influence from anything and everything.
Jonathan is a real guy! No arrogance, just himself and real! Amazing!
I love how Davis just admits he’s a novice when it comes to his knowledge of metal music that he just grew up on hip hop and funk music and applied it’s influences to his band. Really explains all the unique quirks of the bands music.
Thats why it became what it became
It's basically JD and Fieldy who are the hip hop/funk heads
I don't listen to those classic metal bands like Black Sabbath either so it was interesting to here a famous face of metal say that
@@deckofcards87 Nah Head and Munky also have said they were all big hiphop fans. NWA, I’ve Cube, Cypress Hill etc
Damn, Jonathan shares more about his childhood and parents in this video than any I have ever heard before!
Great to see Jon with a smile on his face and having a laugh. 😊❤
I love seeing Jon passionately talking about vinyl...epic stuff right there! Their friendship and commonality of music is a breath of fresh air!
Hello 👋
Thanks for your love and your support I really appreciate for being a great fans ❤️
Nothing surprises me about JD anymore. This other dude is cool af and super knowledgeable. I like this will definitely check out some other stuff.
cool and friendly
J Perkins I subbed this channel solely on watching this one vid after 5 min I was down tf with this. JD tuffffff
Korn is the reason I got into Rock, Heavy Rock, Metal, AND playing drums! Run the Jewels definitely need to be checked out.
Run the Jewels is legit!
I fell in love the first time I heard Jonathan Davis gibberish. Life is peachy. 4life!!
mariofromthabarrio Me too, my kids were teens in the 90's and all I heard from their rooms when they'd get home from school was Korn. They were my first!!! 😁😁🖤🖤🤘🤘
Same here, I've listened to only rap and funk for the past 27 years, and I have just gotten into nu metal thanks to Korn
Amen to all!
KORN 4 LIFE!! CYPRESS HILL 4 LIFE!!! MUSIC IS LIFE!!!! JAM ON!!!!!
Music is my therapy
My favourite vocalist of all time. I got to meet Jonathan when I was a VIP at the Dublin, Ireland KoRn show back in 2012. What a legend!
If you haven't listened to their new album The Nothing yet, get on it, it's amazing!
The Nothing is definitely one of Korn's best albums to date! I fucking loved it.
It's too bad he doesnt do meet and greets anymore
@@nathanbarth7909 I'm sure they'll do meet and greets again.
Hope so..guessing it's because of the issues hes had in the last few years and doesnt want to talk about it with fans
How can JD be so charming and so natural? It really makes you want to talk and hang out with him as much as possible.
Jonathan Davis is so down to earth and chill! 😍
Awesome job Chris. Way to show our hometown some 🖤. JD is so humble. Literally one of the best frontmen of our generation.
Agreed, he is so humble and just has this sensitive presence that makes you want to protect him.
Watching him talking about the music he grew up with, the music he loves Is soooo Amazing, plus he looks fine wich Is sooo relieving, I know the pain Will never go away, but he Is going on with Life and this Is very good. I really Hope that the Kids are fine...
Jonathan and his v-necks. I LOVE Korn.
JD is a pretty chill dude. I would love to meet him and the band in person.
He does have a good knowledge of music.
Kashmir is a life-changing song. I laughed when Jonathan answered "Led Zeppelin" without hesitation. Real recognize real. Much love to DJ C minus.
Love the new Korn record!
IDK I think it's a little cold... Lol
IDK I think it was a little cold... Lol
*Jonathan Talks*
I melt.
only BREALTV dropping fire interviews with Jonathan Davis ...dope
I've been to well over 300 concerts in the last 40 years and I have to be honest with myself that the energy level of Korn and the sheer talent of JD sticks out to me. I have to say they're at least in my top 3 but, that's only due to the fact I seen Pantera when they first came out and, Shannon Larkin from Godsmack was in a band in the 80s called Wrathchild but they found out a band in London i believe was named the same so..they changed it to Wrathchild America and they were young and playing Shiley Acres in West Virginia and Wow what a show!! Shannons one of the sickest drummers out.
This was so cool seeing Jon looking through the records and talking about certain ones. I hope you do this with him again!!!!
JD rarely does interviews. But when he does, it’s with DJ C minus & BrealTV. Phuckin Best interview in YEEEEAAAARRRRSSSSSS
Correction, JD rarely does interviews where he's comfortable.
@@ALL_that_ENDS He has relaxed over the years though. In his early years his arms were crossed so tightly I can almost feel the tension in MY arms. And playing with that hair which he still does. His lyrics helped me overcome my depression and anxiety. (And will again if I have to fight it in the future)
I am 65 years old and still listen to metal music. I still love music from 1960's to now.
Jonathan seems like such a chill, unassuming dude. Hard to believe he was a rock God on top of the world 20 years ago.
Still is
Just saw Korn last week in Columbus, awesome show!!!
Once saw George Clinton Parlaiment Funkadelic and Bootsy Collins play at a hippie campground, on 3 hits of LSD.
It was also an awesome show!!!
Was it at NLQP?
@@stefanoconsiglio3177 If that's an acronym for Nelson's Ledges (in Ohio)... then yes. Maybe 2008 or 2009.
@@scramblesthedeathdealer hell yeah Nelson ledges. I try to go at least once a year! You gotta come back out!!!
@@stefanoconsiglio3177 The only time I've ever been there was with my ex-wife, unfortunately, my second wife died...
Got no one to go with.
😕
I’m happy for you but jealous for me! ✌🏼🎼
Jon has the most awesome funk taste in music
I wanna personally thank JD for introducing me to what now is my all-time favorite band, Acid Bath...he mentioned them as one of his favorites in an interview about 15 years ago and I was blown away when I checked them out...Dax Riggs is so underrated it's criminal
lovin this new series its like "whats in my bag" but straight pulling from the shelves.keep em coming
Have watched this at least 5 times already!! Phenomenal interview and an even bigger fan now 💓
What a fantastic interview! Love that this is just a conversation about the love of music instead of a traditional interview ❤️
Jonathan Davis: I love you!
JON DAVIS ❤TE AMO ❤
I wanna talk music with these guys an chill for ages .
I am new at DJ C Minus, but I am now a fan.. I am hear because I click on everything Jonathan Davis, man has giving everything to his art.. Respect!
I wish JD solo album got more love. I seen him twice during his solo tour for it and it was amazing! Ray played drums and the rest of the band just had a great vibe and sounded great 😃Smaller venues and some awesome music!
imagine going here after this was filmed and buying that copy of Issues only to find this video and seeing him handling it.
This is so light-hearted, heart warming and so real! Loved it!
Even when he said "When KoRn hit everything, when we were on top of our game" it's with a nostalgic smile on his face. A man who knows his prime has passed, but he's cool with it, because nothing will ever take away how big they were and how important they still are.
Just saw Korn in Minneapolis, Mn last week and they were phenomenal.
Korn is my life those guys mean the world to me. Love their music
Hello 👋
Thanks for your love and your support I really appreciate for being a great fans ❤️
Johnathan Davis! I love all your music ... ALL OF IT!.. Both these guys know music
Yes have watched this episode multiple times!! My fave!! Need more C-Minus!
What a combo, love both these bands and they have inspired me to make music.
So, Korn has been my favorite band for the past 21 years. Seen them the most in concerts. Just got into Run The Jewels last year and will be seeing them in concert with Rage against the machine this summer. Always wondered what JD would think of RTJ. So, this was ironic...
This was dope I love music and grow up in an age were vinyls we’re not around wish I got to experience that time and age of music.
Love this!
Shout out Dj C Minus. . crate digging is the shit. A lost art indeed for the google age. Tell them CDjs stop playing & take they ass to a vinyl store. . word up. LMMAAOOO!!!!
Barry White Vinyl is a classic. no question
Dope Interview
Going Underground Records brings back all that Vinyl that we grew up on. Mad Props!
That Bobby Brown don’t be cruel album is straight fire with tons of bops
Finally a interview with JD where morons don't say "JD is uncomfortable, he's embarrassed, he didn't want to be filmed" and shit like that
@Corby Dinsburger Maybe I am or you are a fucking dumb that didn't understand what I said.
He looked embarrassed and slightly uncomfortable. The host was cheesing him out a lot and jon would wander away from his cool 'picks'
He is home
Dope dope dope
Dj c minus gets an A++ on this one
I here jonathan Davis must watch imediotly
I love JDs reaction when he was asked about Tyler the Creators album
The sad thing is, I think he would like Tyler because he has a lot of funk elements to his music

DIIV playing in the background at the beginning - their new album is awesome, recently got it on vinyl as well.
DJ C-Minus recommending the new Drab Majesty album and JD getting it also made my day - I want it as well...
Great to see JD with a smile on his face still
Such a cool video! Great to hear all of these stories and influences!
My daughter was born in '87 hahahaha I want that Madhouse record, I miss Prince he had some talent, to have found a whole vault full of all this other music demo's n all---blows my mind!!! Whoa--wait, its called boogie funk now--wtf??? Hello hold the phone dude, I've been calling it disco, I'm 57yrs old and all I ever did was go to the roller rink, so I know of all that kind of music as well. The 80's was awesome, just graduated high school 1980 and turned 18----now I can go to concerts and my mom cant say shit!!!! Then my love of rock hit!!! 😁😁 Omg George Clintons song "Atomic Dog", now theres a great song!!!! Parliaments song "Flashlight", shit what great music!! Omg I remember that feud that he and Prince had---damn now theres an old memory!!! Papp Dirty song!!! LOL Now this was cool af to learn that Jonathan used to freakin listen to the stuff I used to listen to as well---shut up, see thats why I wasnt trippin when he did the cover song "Word Up", I loved it from the second I heard the tittle, just made more excited to hear how he did it!!! Amazing dude. Learned so much. Out of my generation type stuff very cool, Happy anniversary JD!
Wonderful
Been waiting on this
So good
Funk for life baby hell yeah
Cool video man. I grew up listening to 80s funk and Rap cause that's all my dad bumped in his Cadillac wherever he went. What a trip though in highschool I was a big korn fan. Who would've know that Jonathan Davis is a funk fan and a DJ back in the day. They were my first concert. Saw them on the sick and twisted tour with staind at the arrowhead pond. Best show ever. I saw david silveria at the aloha grill once when I was out with my chick and some friends. Wanted to go up to him but was so nervous that he might be a dick. So I never went up to him. He had like his hair dyed in circles or something it was the coolest shit ever. Korn will always be one of my favorite bands and actually one of the bands that influenced me to play drums.
AWESOME
jonathan davis in the smoke box
He doesn’t so drugs anymore................
Jonathan Davis Forever Teacher of Teachers he will always be the only and original davis !!!!!
I enjoyed hearing these guys! Music historians if you will.
Great video! JD is always cool as hell
Dude fuck yeah, y'all made my day with this one. As a fellow head it's nice to see others in the wild. Keep it up, more of these please!!
Very cool. You need to do a series on famous artists and musicians crate digging and what they have in their own collections.. awesome clip
19:18 Finally an interview where more is said about the work with Nas. I always wanted to know and could never find any info. Over the phone, huh. Interesting.
He said he got to a song with Nas, what song was it?
@@sideshowblob It's called "Play Me", off of "Take a Look in the Mirror.
@@TranzparentMethods Thank you. Yep, one of my favorites off that album.
