    I used these little battery powered airbrush compressors to do custom shoes for a couple of years before finally getting a real airbrush compressor. I still use them all the time. They're great for their portability.

      That's exactly what I use mine for and the detail they can get is impressive.

    I'm thinking of getting one for miniature painting. Surely, as someone who has never done airbrushing this might be a good entry and if I feel it holds me back in the future I can always go for a more robust set up as an experienced user.

    Great video Carsten. That little battery compressor sure did well. The Creos was definitely nowhere near the quality of the Iwata Micron! Can’t wait for the artwork video!

    Good video, that is essentially what I did. Though I had to use a different trigger that had a slightly longer pin to hit the activation on the pump. I borrowed one from another airbrush and put the one that was too short on the one I borrowed from.

    Nice. Thanks for review. Noise is pretty much like those haircutting machines, which is just fine. Hmm. The price for such a set seems to be around 60EUR according to EU Ebay, Amazon, and other sites. Assuming that compressors (in the EU area) cost around 100EUR, I suppose this is one is indeed a nice way to get started.

    This airbrush looks like others I have seen demonstrated and may have a performance mode button on the bottom which allows it to work at a stronger level. Thought you might like to know considering many of these things don’t come supplied with instructions. :)

    So basically if I switch out guns I could possibly get better flow and maybe be possible to spray t shirts??

    • @WickedPaint
      @WickedPaint 3 роки тому

      No, there is no way this would produce enough air pressure to paint shirts. Textile paints such as createx are thick and need a bit more pressure such as 45-55psi. When I used createx in this unit for the purpose of painting shoes I had to thin the paint out considerably.

    I bought one similar of yours and tried with 2 different Iwata (HP-CH and Micron CM-B) and didn’t work... 😒
    I think the problem comes from the length of the link between the air and the airbrushes (a small cylinder) it’s too short...
    If it can help someone, just saying...
    And thanks for the video ! Good content!

    • @AirbrushAsylum
      @AirbrushAsylum  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks for your compliments and glad you enjoyed the video. try unscrewing the valve assembly from the battery (if it came with an airbrush) and then screw the iwata directly into the battery so you are using that valve assembly instead ...that should solve the issue 👍🏻🤔

    • @jugallet
      @jugallet 3 роки тому

      Airbrush Asylum thanks for answering, things are I cannot unscrew the valve from the battery that’s the problem 😤
      It looks exactly like yours but the valve doesn’t come off, only the airbrush 😩...
      Anyway if I cannot find a solution I will still use it for simple tasks...
      By the way I’m in EU if you recommend some links to buy one from here (with the valve swap possibility) I take it 😉
      Thanks again

    I bought one of these when I started painting model kits and now that the base airbrush broke I'm out of ideas which airbrush I can use on it. I Wasn't aware that you can't unscrew the body valve on any airbrush. Messed up a brand new iwata trying to screw the body valve off. Does anyone know of an adaptor that would work or other model airbrushed besides these 2 that would work on the battery

    • @brianchristie2149
      @brianchristie2149 3 роки тому

      I would think you would have more control with the battery pack then with a hose. And you would have more flexibility without a hose dragging you down. As far as the weight goes you should be able to get comfortable with it with some practice. I've been airbrushing for 20 years myself and think this is genius.

      SomeGuyInSandy - go direct with Spraygunner . com, They deal with a lot of the “No Name” brand. I use them almost exclusively for my airbrush stuff. If you haven’t used them before, create an account and use the code 7SEVEN and you will receive 7% off your first order. No, I don’t receive anything from them for sending you their way. They do supply for Amazon, but I have found that going direct with Amazon vendors, either by shooting them an email or calling them they will give generally give me a pretty good deal.
