Whew....I WISH it were all sunshine and rainbows. But to be frank, there are some days I just get down right GROUCHY with the animals. I'm human, I have my frustrations, I have my hard days...rarely am I perfectly patient and even more rarely does everything go just the way I want it to!!
We are still waiting for this foal to arrive...and this is an area where the wait is starting to feel frustrating...haha! Babies come all in good time...and our job is to wait until they are good and ready!
Darling, you don't have to act anyway. It's normal to be normal and life is life and that's all you're showing us so you don't have to be sorry for anything. We all have our good days and bad days and I really enjoy watching you and I can't wait for sugar to have her baby ❤

I love your content and people need to understand life isn't always sunshine and rainbows. I like your honesty it's more relatable to be honest. Keep being you 💯.. people get offended or think they know what is best but have no clue about living the life. Edit. I wrote the sunshine and rainbows before I watched but your exactly right. Life throws hard curve balls sometimes. Stuff happens.

Some mares get like candle wax and others get like frosty looking .She can foal at any time now.

A thought here, is it possible to place the goat hay feeder upside down? Or, fashion a roof / cover for it? Then maybe little nuisance goats can't pee on the hay.. 😊
I can't put it upside down otherwise getting feed into it would be quite the struggle every time. However, I'm cooking up some ideas, so the little rascal can keep out of my precious hay. 🤣🤣

❤Your doing Great. People/ Haters don't realize that the Unicorn farms have a hired crew just to do there filming. They have people that clean the area before they stage the filming. So, little one, you will get farther living n filming real life. The real people will stick around and watch you and support you. I could could on n on, but keep your chin up and you will blossom.
Haha very good points! I'm gonna leave the haters/negative comments in the past where they belong. Hold my head up high and just keep going in the direction I want to go!!! It's been a massive learning curve dealing with the public's 'opinion'. But I promise I will be more confident with what I choose to share. 😊

May I ask your name I'm sorry if I messed it. . I think there is a test you can do on the milk.. I'm not 100% but I've heard other people doing it. Personally I don't know. I just love your content and I'm so excited for this baby to come. Lol. Thanks for sharing
There are milk testing strips!! They sound fairly accurate - but folks that use them also say that there's a chance it could drop quickly in just a few hours after testing. If we were breeding horses regularly I think we would buy the kit!!! I've also heard that if you taste the milk it will be salty until about 24 hours before foaling. Then it tastes sweet. Not sure I want to be tasting her milk though 🤣🤣🤣
@@Liltroyerfarm I think your right but and I wouldn't want to taste mares milk either can you use the pool strips. I know people use them for something lol.. I'll do some research if they test for similar things. The milk test vs pool strips..I'll comment what I find.
@@Liltroyerfarm from what I just researched on Google you can use pool strips to test the pH in a mare's milk
@rachelpotter6545 I'm just looking into it...to use pool or saliva strips you need to dilute their milk. Sounds like it might work, just a couple extra steps than the foal indicator strips.
I'm sorry, bu tthis mare is bred why? Her back is not doing well, it's sway backed.
She was a 'rescue'. Adopted 7 months before she foaled. If she were my horse I would have NEVER bred her. She was in no shape to have a baby.
Do you braid the tail or put the tail up before birth?
This will only be my 2nd foal! So I cannot claim to have it figured out, haha. If it is getting in the way, then I will loosely wrap it up. With the first foal it didn't seem to be an issue, and mama didn't get too messy either. So I'm undecided at this point! However, there is a concern with braiding a tail or wrapping a tail too far in advance. I have read that if it is wrapped or braided too tight then they can lose blood supply to their tail. Or they could get their tail snagged on something. Again, that's not speaking from experience unfortunately....just a bit of the 'research' I have done prior to foaling.
