    Thanks for the info. My van is currently in the shop getting the 4.3 package. Can't wait to feel the difference as fully loaded it is about 9,000 lbs.

      At this point, I’m sure you have it back… what do you think?

      @@outdoorbros_ Just got my van back yesterday (had to wait for some parts so it took a long time). First thing I noticed was that the rear squat was gone. Had a 100 mile drive home on some mostly rural highways, but I noticed that it felt way more stable in traffic roundabouts. Can't wait to see the difference in the woods. I was just on setting 2 for the drive home.

    Great video, very informative, thank you very much. Did you get a three leaf pack worth a six pack?

      Thanks! I believe I got the three leaf pack.

    Our Van in route: 4x4 Passenger 2021 144 HT: Thanks for the informative videos and I think your build-out is what we're looking to do as well. Well researched and makes perfect sense and your van looks great! As far as the question goes: Van Compass has a 4.5 system coming out with in cab shock adjustment. You think we should wait for that to become available, or get a tried and true 4.3 system now (not as convenient), but solid.

      What’s up, Brian? Thank you. The suspension has been phenomenal and it’s hard to imagine the van without. Personally, I don’t see a need to adjust it in-cab. For the most part, it’s “set it and forget it” 99% of the time. As soon as we venture off highway, I have no problem taking 60-90 seconds and switch all four shocks.

      @@outdoorbros_ Seems logical to me and likely much more reliable, I'm gonna go with the same kit. Van will be here tomorrow, I need to check on relocating the rear AC lines before I can order. Thanks for the great channel.

    Thanks for posting. What size tires do you have? What kind of wheels and what’s the offset? Any rubbing when compressed or full turn? If so, did you do any cutting or trimming? Thank you.

    • @outdoorbros_

      Current on the BFG KO2’s, 275/70/17. Not sure on the offset- stock, I believe. No rubbing anywhere after the Terra wagon fender kit install.

    Great explanation of the system. Did you have to install a lift kit with the kit you used?

    • @outdoorbros_
      @outdoorbros_  2 роки тому

      Thanks Scott! No lift kit with my setup. I think if you jump to a 35” tire, you’ll need a 2” lift.

    What do you think now after another 3 or so years? It is just so expensive...

    What size wheels and tires are you running? Did you also do the no rub mud flaps?

    • @outdoorbros_
      @outdoorbros_  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Ian, I’m running 275/70/17 tires on 17” wheels. I had a terra wagon kit installed to allow for the additional tire size.

    Curious how your fuel burn has changed with the modifications?

    • @outdoorbros_
      @outdoorbros_  2 роки тому

      I’ve often wondered the same, but it’s so difficult to pinpoint fuel burn to an individual mod. I can say that I got about 18-19mpg with no mods. Added bigger tires and it dropped down to 16-17mpg. Then came the build and it has dropped down to 13.5mpg. That being said, I could probably drive slower and increase that back up to 15mpg.

    Where did you have the installation done? tnx

      I had the front shocks and leafs installed at Baja HQ.

    I'm going to say that it's not adjustable "on the fly" (3:30) unless you have really long arms and a boroscope in your fingertips.

    Nobody ever says in videos what doing this costs

    • @outdoorbros_
      @outdoorbros_  2 роки тому +1

      I don't recall if I broke down the number in the video, but for reference, the front shocks cost $375 to install, the rear leaf pack install was $560. The rear shocks and bump stops I did on my own.

      Can I ask who you used for the installs? I live relatively close by (I think) and would love to find an expert to help with installs.
