Luffy's mastery with the gomu gomu no mi was insane in this chapter, he no longer has to blow into his arm every time he uses gear 3 and can immediately switch between the two, using G3 to provide momentum for his gear 2 attack then his CoC attack. He really has reached another level...

Luffy may be a bit of an airhead off the battle field but while fighting he has an almost unmatched battle IQ its amazing to watch unfold

When the Gorosei said about somebody being “eliminated” during the chaos that is on Wano, my first thoughts when I read it was that they were talking about Robin. I know that CP0 orders were to capture Robin at all cost, but I thought they were saying something like “Would it be “tragic” that Nico Robin happen to die during the battle of Onigashima?” Because let’s be real, I’m sure the Gorosei wouldn’t be too upset if Robin happen to die before any forbidden information happen that she learned happened to get out.
Yeah, but the weird part about that, is that they already mentioned Robin. So, they could have just said it directly, "now that we have captured Robin, lets also eliminate her". But instead, they mentioned Robin and then seem to move to something else and say, "death could come to anyone!". Seemed like they weren't talking about Robin anymore. Instead, it sounded like, "Now that we have captured Robin, we can also take care of some other inconveniences".
I thought they meant the ex CP9 agent that lost the gum-gum fruit.
@@MisaelMatute76 No... They were talking about eliminating inconveniences immediately after they mention Robin (who is an inconvenience to the WG). It was in the same panel and if you are reading the speech bubbles in the right order, it was Robin 2nd and elimination 3rd (1st was Wano and the battle that is happening).
I think the someone referenced here is luffy. In my head, the gorosei are referencing the "certain pirate" shanks wanted to talk to them about. My money is on luffy

I think it's actually two different conversations. The agent is talking to someone of CP0 on wano and the gorosei are having a conversation on their own.

Oda definitely set the climactic finale to the fight up. The wishes of wanos citizens floating up to Luffy and kaido, either to inspire Luffy to finish or for kaido to be punched down through while Luffy looks like a fire god granting the wishes.
Kaido isn’t at a 100% and Luffy knows that therefore he’ll wait for Kaido to bring forth his final form. After that, Luffy will go into gear 4th because there is a time clock on it.
Did you even read the chapter? He might not be at 100% but his haki is getting stronger. Luffy said that himself. Also what is his final form. I imagine that's hybrid form. Kaido not only stated that he acknowledged Luffy's strength but that he hadn't been challenged in a 1v1 this much in a long time, would kind of be dumb for him to be half assing it here

Think about how long he’s been around in the one piece world, it would be a little odd if an emperor who is known as the strongest creature in the world just now gets an awakening. @@jeremyroberts8822 I agree with you that as an emperor his awakening should be a given, but remember his awakening was never explicitly displayed or even acknowledged(by him or others) his hybrid form was though (by Trafalgar Law). Plus, Zoan are the trickiest devil fruit especially Ancient Zoans which awakenings we’ve never even seen.

I dont think the Elders were talking about Luffy being killed. He's a wanted pirate. Why would they need an excuse or cover to kill him? Not to mention that they'd want the credit for taking down a "threat" with his bounty to prop up their reputation.

Loved the scenography of last chapter’s fight, with an uncanny parallel to his crew’s dedicated battles

This was a masterfully crafted chapter. Luffy's control of his devil fruit, and battle experience is evident. The panels at the end creating hype and confusion simultaneously... and let's not forget the drawn action scenes, oda is the goda

The mind blown for me was actually that Kaido's drunken state ISN'T weaker (read: he tells Luffy he's not weakening himself but accepting Luffy). Kaido's real final form is that of a drunken master. We even see Luffy struggling with the unpredictable nature of his new attacks.

@@bellooluwaseyi7347 I don't think Mantra is another name for Advanced Observation haki, all Rayleigh stated was that Observation haki in skypiea is called Mantra. Maybe it was advanced in an Usopp sense that he could sense far, but Future Sight is different. Future sight is stated to be able to see the future. Not someone's intent. Therefore even if you can't predict what they will do with Normal Observation you can still see the future with Future Sight, except if Luffy can't use it all the time which doesn't make that much sense from what we saw in Udon.

I think that the fruit they're talking about is toki's fruit. It obviously wasn't in this word for centuries since Toki traveled in time, and she is from the void century, so it's not impossible that she had some connections to zuneisha
Wait… if Toki had a connection to Zunesha’s curse, that would explain why Momo, Toki’s son and therefore her successor, is the only person who can give Zunesha new orders.
true, also toki died in wano so some random fruit around her must have turned into the toki toki nomi, but in 20 years we know nothing about it so it may be lost in the wilderness or someone already ate it without knowing what it was

I’ve been saying this since this fruit is a complete Mystery hell Toki and her family is too. It makes sense because ODEN could only hear Zunesha not command so Toki being tied to Zunesha is possible since she very possibly knows or was there when Zunesha was punished.

I'm interested to see how Oda will write the reunion of Usopp with his father. That's surely going to happen when Luffy sees Shanks again. He could also kill Yasop off to develop Usopp more.

I've seen people speculate that the Elder Stars could be referring to either Zunesha or Luffy, and debating which one's the misdirect. The argument makes sense for either one, really, because they are both central to the chapter.
But I wonder if the fruit they were talking about is actually Robin's. As you yourself said, their conversation was revolving around her right before that, and when they mention the fruit's name being lost to time/changed to hide its discovery, it makes me think they can't be referring to Luffy's fruit. Everyone knows the name of his fruit, it's no mystery. Most importantly, the user of a fruit knows its name and power, and Luffy is too pure of heart to lie about something like that.
But Robin, on the other hand, was forced to grow up being secretive and defensive. It would be easy for her to hide the true nature of her fruit by covering its identity with her favorite things - flowers.
And it would be such a great misdirect if it turned out that the world government didn't actually care that Robin could read poneglyphs, or that she had survived Ohara. All along, they feared the terrifying powers of ther seemingly innocent fruit. The one she finally demonstrated the full powers of to defeat Black Maria only twenty chapters ago.
I had assumed that Zunesha is some kind of Ancient Zoan who was cursed with immortality and who is also stuck in that form because it is in constant contact with the sea.
And it's nice that Zunesha is here because it means the Minks can immediately go back home.

Maybe Zunesha is one of its kind. Something involving the void century and other mythical-like animals like the Kraken (Surumo or something). Zunesha seems to be more special than an ancient Zoan type.
I don't think zunesha is a devil fruit user, that is the least possible outcome. I think the fruit that elders are talking about is toki's toki toki no mi, if you think about it, It actually makes a lot of sense.
One big thing I think you missed with zunesha is the fact that the whole mink tribe is on its back and is now arriving at wano as well
Luffy efficiently shifting gears to fight with Kaido makes me think he is an F1 ready racer ready to be the number 1 in any drag race given.
This is Tama’s DF. Toki sent her here from the past where they somehow gave zunesha an order to walk. The order probably has some specifics to allow users of the Voice of all things. The gorosei saying awaken doesn’t appear to be the same context as the awakening we have been seeing lately. They are talking about her fruit because that explains how it was gone for hundreds of years. And the rename fits because kibi kibi is a very underwhelming name for a Df that can control an army.

Remember that Momo and Inuarashi remained on Zou longer than everyone else in the alliance. It’s easy to forget, since they still got to Wano before Luffy did, but they stayed behind because Momo wanted to talk to Zunesha more, then it wasn’t mentioned again for over 200 chapters.
If I had to guess, I’d say that might have something to do with Zunesha turning up now.
Another theory that seem to come out of this also is the fact that Zunesha could be Joyboy or some other person from the Void century that ate a type of fruit that turned him into an elephant and we are now witnessing his awakening after centuries of being asleep, walking the new world but now fully aware of whats going on. In other words, the only reason Luffy and Momo were able to hear Zunesha is they were telepathically connected to Joyboy.
Well the thing is that zunesha was said to have been punished a thousand year ago if I remember correctly and that the joy boy and void century is after that
@@quentinponcon3528 It never actually specified that, it said he wrote a letter of apology 800 years ago, centuries before that he made a promise and was not able to keep. Zunesha on the other hand was sentenced to walk due to a "crime" he commited and although the story leaves out what part of the incident or crime that joyboy was involved with, we only know that he wrote an apology letter. Im just saying they could be linked. There is also something very crucual about the 100 year void, being the gap between 800 and 900 years.
This chapter gave us some amazing fighting, a cliffhanger/shock from seeing the elders and Zunesha, and some needed comedy. I love it.
They're talking about Luffy.
Look at the context, they said "who would've thought the battle would go this far" that's a reference to them knowing Luffy is leading a war against 2 Yonko. They then say "in a war with big mom and Kaido, it's not unexpected someone would die.. we need to get rid of that nuisance". They're talking about Luffy, who CONSTANTLY keeps disrupting order, destroying their facilities, and breaking expectations. they've been annoyed by Luffy since he defeated Moria, his 2nd warlord. We miss some dialogue because Oda didn't want to just give away who they were talking about because he knew the hardcore fans who over speculate and think too hard about it.
What they meant by "that DF is a legend even to us. It hasn't awakened in centuries" it wasn't saying that they haven't seen the fruit in centuries, they meant that the awakening if the fruit us so OP that it's become a legend because it's been so long since anyone has managed to do it.
Finally, when they talk about how the WG went out it's way to change the name of the fruit, is because if anyone, mainly who has it, ever knew what it was FULLY capable of, they'd be unstoppable, hence why the WG wanted it. Sound familiar? They wanted the "gomu gomu no mi" so bad that they put one of their BEST agents in jail because he failed to protect it. That doesn't raise flags for you? What's so special about Luffy's fruit? THE AWAKENING!!
The Gomu gomu no mi is not it's real name. Now in terms of what Iceburg said about "the user learns its name after it's eaten", 2 things. 1. That may be true for an adult, but for a 7 year old, he's only going to care what he was TOLD it's called by his idol. All he was concerned with is that he can stretch and can't swim. 2. How do you think people realize they're awakened? The essence/spirit of the DF itself tells the user about it's secret power(s). So Luffy will learn the real name and full capabilities of his fruit once he awakens and the fruit tells him.

Never been so confused in a chapter... That wording, "There's a huge shadow up ahead" to which there is a shadow ahead of the ships. Meanwhile, Zunesha shows up behind the government ships and the look-out guy does seem to be looking behind them based on the positions of the flags blowing forward. Were things drawn out of place this chapter or do they see Onigashima, while Zunesha is *with* the Government.
I'm inclined to believe the devil fruit they're talking about is one we already have the name of. Wouldn't be as big a twist to give us the real fruit name of a fruit we didn't even know about already. Luffy's fruit is the prime candidate, considering how special it was for the government in the first place, and he still not being shown as awakened, yet.
What a pistol-punch to the noggin this chapter was.

I doubt it, just because it’s a fruit not something that could be predicted in 20 years from when laughtale was found. I honestly hope Aisa is one of the weapons. Aisa is the girl from skypeia who has really strong observation haki. Like it was legit insane at her age, and considering how Uranus is deity of sky or something like that, it would make sense if it was Aisa since she’s from shandora with skypeians making skypeia. Also it would connect the skypeia arc with the rest of the show. I mean, literally skypeia has been it’s own little thing lmao. One piece is known for world building, it would feel odd if Oda doesn’t connect Skypeia’s arc to the rest.
The other target the Gorosei wanted to erase could be Who's Who, considering how much information he probably knows about the WG

Who’s who makes a lot of sense. That’s the first thing I thought, too. Even his name is very telling that Oda has him there as a potential key to a big puzzle. The WG wants him and his high priority top secret information eradicated. I know Kaidous crew has card game names, I get that’s why he has one. But there are hundred card games, and who’s who is not even a well known one. It was carefully selected for a reason.

I’ve been looking for a good one piece youtuber to start watching… Then I found you (I was so happy that I think this is what luffy would feel like if he found the one piece). I think they're talking about Tamas devil fruit. There is literally no correlation between Dango and controlling animals, so I think it would make sense for it to be her fruit that was renamed.
tamas fruit is called kibi kibi no mi, Kibi fast horse's tail; leader (to follow), fruit makes her a leader of animals.

Two candidates that the Gorosei might be considering for elimination are Momo and Law. Law because has the super special eternal life Devil Fruit, or Momo because of the whole thing Momo says about "needing to survive". Luffy truly grew up a lot in this arc, this fight is something else from him.
After this chapter i looked up Zunisha’s page on the One Piece wiki and it was stated that one of the minks (I think Miyagi) speculated that Zunisha wasn’t roaming aimlessly but rather to a set destination. Perhaps it was always heading towards Wano or at least Wano is on the path to said destination.
I don't think so, if Wano is truly the elephant destination or a path of it destination then it should've arrived ages ago. it's a giant elephant for godsake it would take idk maybe a couple of days or a week to arrived on Wano, that said if the theory is true then maybe it waiting for momo to arrive there first
In response to those saying Zunisha would’ve found Wano ages ago (which is a fair point) there’s also the possibility that perhaps Zunisha doesn’t know the path and has been looking but failing to find it’s destination (which may or may not be Wano or even be going to a specific location)
Or perhaps Zunisha has worse directional skills than Zoro…

I think Oda will makes us sympathize with Kaido by the end. His story is of a once inspired pirate who vowed to become the next Pirate King, but for some reason failed. Now he's depressive, alcoholic, because he knows he's not "the one". That's why when he knocked out Luffy for the second time, he stated that Luffy couldn't be joyboy "either". It's not that someone Kaido faced prior to Luffy also couldn't, but that Kaido himself also couldn't. I believe Kaido will die by the end of Wano, probably in a suicidal way [as Yuderon pointed out, the chapter in which Kaido is introduced is entitled 'Suicide', wink wink]. Maybe Big Mom ends up betraying him, as he stated many chapters ago that that's how pirate alliances always end up, which is definetly foreshadowing a future event. Maybe Kaido will trap Big Mom in Onigashima with him as she's trying to escape after betraying him, and blow up the both of them. Not only as revenge but maybe also as a way to help Luffy successfully escape, after realizing Luffy is the true joyboy. It's a nice way to get rid of Big Mom and Kaido. He should definetly smile as he dies as well. Anyway, that's my "theory". I doubt that Kaido will survive this raid, there wouldn't be much left for him to do in the story after all of this and he's too big of a deal to stick around as an "irrelevant" character. Boy's pretty relevant.

I feel like Luffy had called Zunesha when he got knocked into the sea since law’s crew was able to hear him. His ability with the VOAT grew and he was able to do it unlike before when only Momo could.
Also I feel the other person the gorosei could potentially be Law because of the whole immortality thing, if someone was strong and evil enough to make Law use it would be dangerous.

It's almost impossible. Do you know how much it would take Zunisha to get to Wano? It's at least days but it could be even weeks considering he always moves and could walk farther from Wano while the strawhats were in WCI. If he reacts to Momo's voice then Momo has been calling him for quite a lot of time. Also it would be good for Momo's character developement if he could stop/slow the island's fall.

I think the fruit they're talking about is Luffy's. My theory is that the Gomu Gomu No Mi, is the Giant Giant Fruit and not the Rubber Rubber fruit. Gear 3rd is all about turning Luffy's body into giant sizes. The awakening of the fruit could also impact the size of Lufffy's environment including objects and people. This is why Imu was seen standing in front of a giant strawhat in Mariejois (while holding Luffy's wanted poster) which might have belonged to the previous user of the giant giant fruit. Zunesha could have also been turned into a giant elephant by the awakening of this fruit.
This would work if his body didn’t have any rubber properties which it does and two if it wasn’t already stated that devil fruit users automatically know the name of their devil fruit immediately upon consumption. So unless Luffy has been lying to the audience…

Although this can still work if it's a special paramecia or a mythical giant Zoan (a mythical giant with rubber like powers or immune to electricity). It might not that big of a stretch if this fruit is truly "special". If I think of special paramecias like the hobi hobi no mi that impacts the users body differently from how it impacts the users victims, it's possible the Giant Giant fruit makes turns the user permanently into a rubber boy (like Sugar's fruit turned her into a permanent 10 year old) and that its awakening can turn the targets into giant stronger versions of themselves (just like sugar turns it's victims into weaker, shrunken toy versions of who they were). You could also rename the Hobi Hobi to refer more to memory loss or downsizing or permanent youth and it would still make sense. I don't think Luffy has been lying per say, his awakening is what allows him to leverage the true power of the giant giant fruit and he just hasn't awakened yet. Oda definitely has quite a few tools to make this work without making it look like it came out of nowhere. The giant references for Luffy are quite a few.
the idea of this unknown devil fruit being tama's makes me very nervous since she is just a child, it would be sad to have another instance in which a child is hunted down for having something she doesn't know is illegal

A friend and I had the concept that the Gorosei alluded devil fruit is possibly the toki toki no mi, which sounds bizarre, but we don't know enough about the void century, it fits the time period in which the fruit existed (centuries), would explain why they think it is a myth (disappeared for several centuries), and they aluded to its strength, which time travel is really strong generally
It always bothered me that a character named Toki ate a toki toki fruit. It would make more sense if that was a false name.
What you said makes sense. But I have questions about that. They said that the fruit *awakened* , *now* , 2 keywords. If Toki is from the Void Century since we know that she can *Time-Leap* then that's what she did. But that's not something she did for the first time recently, she has been doing it since the past. And to come from the past to present doesn't mean that the fruit awakened *now* , right? If Time-Leaping is the awakening then it's something that is done earlier.
If the Awakening of her fruit *is not* the Time-Leap but something else, how would they know it? They may know that she did the time thing but that's something of the past not the present.
So I am trying to think of information they would possess while trying to analyze their words exactly. What personally comes to my mind is *Robin's* , since they saw her in that *Demonio* Form, they mentioned her a few panels ago, and we do not possess a backstory as for how Robin got that Devil Fruit since she already had it in her backstory where she was a kid. Also about the true name kind of thing, doesn't the *Flower Flower* fruit sound a bit strange? (The problem with this is that I think I heard that Devil Fruit Eaters *instantly* realize the true name of the fruit they have eaten and if Flower wasn't real then Robin would know it(who knows she might have kept it a secret as well who knows what Oda is thinking). So while it makes sense that it could be Robin, it also makes sense that it could be not(because of my last point).
I don't know if it's *Otama's* DF because we don't know if her ability to turn animals into allies is a Devil Fruit Awakening because she could do that since ever as far as we know and this is the reason I don't think it's Otama because they only just heard about it and I think they would know about Otama already. Another small problem with this is that the *shadow* wasn't Zunisha, it was *Onigashima* , and it was *in front* of the ships whereas Zunisha came from *behind* (you could check those 2 panels in the end) and the *scout* wasn't talking to the *Gorosei* . Since I mentioned that what the Gorosei is talking about is new information it could possibly be about what Shanks told them. Maybe about Blackbeard, maybe he awakened, we don't know. There's a possibility that the fruit is either *Kaido's* or *Momonosuke's* , but I don't know how that would work either if they don't know that Onigashima has been lifted in the air.
I definitely not think it's *Zunisha* as far as we know they haven't heard about it so far as I said the shadow and Zunisha were not the same and "why would it awaken now"... Zunisha has been alive for so long i don't know what change an awakening would be. Like I said, I don't think it's Zunisha.
Could be Luffy's too since we heard a lot about it but I don't know how it would happen either.
To sum up, I don't disagree with it being *Toki's* , Oda could still write a lot of plot to fill the questions I made and make it so that it makes sense so your theory is not impossible, just that as far as we know there would be *plotholes* about it if Oda doesn't explain how.
Momo’s authority over the giant elephant, plus the exceptionally ambiguous terms by which the Mink tribe became Allies with Wano’s royal family…plus how there may be effects from devil fruit users having kids…it seems to make a lot of sense to me.
Okay, so Kaido was complaining about how he couldn't even protect the castle, implying that he failed to protect something before. Perhaps it was Yamato's mom who was betrayed and killed by humans. This might be why Kaido doesn't have the same joyous spark he had when he was a younger pirate.
In Japanese, when gomu is said, it also translates as "eraser", so when the elders said erased, the work they used in Japanese is gomu. Certainly talking about Luffy.

The agent was talking to another cp0 agent stationed at holy land to receive information while the gorosei were talking to someone else.
This is how it actually went, after the gorosei talked about Robin's capture, they also talked about a certain person who has to die, which I believe is Who's Who, since they say "it's a fight that involves Kaido and Bigmom, it's not surprising for someone to die" not "He is fighting Kaido and Bigmom, it's not surprising that he will die." so it's not Luffy, it's Who's Who. Then, right after that, they recieved a report from someone else about a devil fruit.
And at the same time as this is happening, the agent was reporting to another cp0 agent about the big shadow that they saw..
They werent actually talking to each other, it's just happening at the same time.

Luffy hasn’t awakened his fruit yet, Oda is hidding it because it’s special. That’s why the world government was so angry when the gum gum fruit was stolen. It’s basic when it’s in “base” form, but “awakened” it’s true power shows
There is no way Gorosei was talking about “killing Luffy”. Luffy are pirate, they don’t need reason (talking about the whole Kaido BigMom war as the cover) to kill him.
Could be talking about Momo. If he is needed for Wano to open and that’s needed for Joyboy stuff, killing him might be their goal.

The devil fruit they are talking about is Kaidos. The shipsman called a shadow in the sky and the elders had have know, that it is one of the abiltys of kaidos dragon Form. Zounesha apears after that and behind them

Another possibility for the “Legendary Devil fruit” could be the Toki Toki no mi, it wouldn’t really be that known considering there has only been one user in like, a long time.

I didn't consider them talking about Zunesha because they just refer to it as a shadow. That's not enough info IMO to think the elders would just connect shadow with a giant elephant.
It also makes more sense since we learned Luffy's fruit was important for the World Government to have cipherpole guard it and for shanks to intentionally steal it. I hope you make a video discussing that the Gum-Gum fruit is actually not what it seems next.

@tropical island Yes, one is ahead of them, which is Wano as they did not pass the waterfall yet. I think the first chapter they arrive at Wano you see exactly the same shadow up ahead before they go up the waterfall.

I thought they were talking about Luffy's fruit at the end, with how they talked about awakening. I read "It's been over 800 years since that fruit was awakened." Here I thought the world government had a "nickname / true name" the the Gumu Gumu that was "legend". Thinking about it, it is a pretty mediocre fruit, the ability to stretch your limbs (also the anti-conductive properties of rubber). Not a fruit the typical user would find useful, but not many people are Luffy. So it not being awakened for the past 800 years. And with the government wanting it so bad, despite the lack luster affects would imply that the true awakening / properties are something that is a major threat to the world government. What that would be exactly... ever see the movie, Rubber?
My theory, with the world government wanting to secure the fruit, Shanks stealing and securing it, Shanks pushing Luffy to become a pirate after eating the fruit (telling him he wasn't cut out to be a pirate at first), and Gol D Roger saying he was "too soon." It is too Deus Ex for me, but I would bet some money that the Gumu Gumu is the "key" to the true One Piece
yeah i really thought that one too, but the official translation for the chapter suggest that Huge Shadow/Island was a legendary fruit power and it did not awakened for centuries. so it was kinda suggesting that there is different fruit which power is kinda Huge or Island size or so to speak triggers zunisha. and ofcourse we can't hide the fact that this is the gomo gomo nomi they are talking about. specially the awakened part.
I think its a fruit we already know pretty well. Its the "awakening" part which will be the reveal. So Luffy is a good shout, ur theory makes sense. But i see the gomu gomu no mi as pretty useful even for an average user. The name is perfect for it as well. Maybe its Kaido/Momo's fruits. The name doesnt tell u the full picture. Question is, who is about to awaken their devil fruit to worry the gorosei. Luffy v Kaido or someone else?

It is 100% not laws fruit, no marine or cp0 had even witnessed laws awakening and it didn’t look like anything extraordinary, the fruit is definitely not a myth to the gorosei considering how much the navy has done stuff that involved the fruit and doffy being an ex celestial dragon knowing the ability of the fruit means literally nothing.

I think there are no secrets behind elders’ talk on eliminating someone because translation in which i read, it was stated like this “ If we strike, it should be now.. presuming nico robin under our custody. When big mom and kaido are involved death could easily come for anyone. Which makes it the perfect cover to eliminate inconveniences.” So by inconveniences - they do not mean any person but all the troubles which they would have to go through if they were to raid on wano as it is not affiliated with world government i think. So basically they want to kill all pirates in wano and blame whole incident on them like win win situation. All pirates would be killed, nico robin would be under their custody and no one will suspect that world government interfered thus presuming nico robin under custody > we should strike now> anyone can die when emperors are fighting> will make it easier to eliminate inconveniences.
