- WTH, Why Not! Marriage, Motorcycles, and Mean People. This video was definitely more for my sanity and re-connecting with my garage for a few minutes than it was about making an entertaining video. I hope you enjoyed our time together though!

"Alone in my own helmet". What a perfect and profound statement. My wife and I rode our bikes together for many years and many 1000s of miles. But those solo moments are every bit as important. One has to actually experience that to fully understand it. Thank you.
Jess, It must be hard to be on social media sometimes because people judge. All I have to say is live your life the way you and your husband want to live it and it’s none of anyone else’s business! I enjoy watching your videos! ❤And you go girl! 😊 Celine from Montreal, Quebec, Canada😊

love this!!! my husband and I have different hobbies...I spend my time riding...and he spends his time in the woods during hunting season. Thats what he wants to spend his free time on and I have no objection to that. We make time for each other all throughout the year but when riding season is here- game on for me, and when hunting season is here- game on for him!
This winter made you Spicy! 😂
Live your life and have fun, love your content and hopefully I get to meet you one day
"Im not buying a couch for speed." Great answer!
It's Monday morning and my day off, my plans were to get up, try to stretch the sciatica out of my hip, meditate and have coffee on my front porch listening to my neighborhood wake up, watch the local Hawk hunt, pet the random outdoor cats and try to catch a glimpse of squirrel who loves to set off my Blink camera...then run, ride, clean and live the life of a typical Midwestern superhero.
But I'd started watching this episode last night while eating supper with my youngest son and our casual conversation turned into a serious conversation about life and his feelings about the future. I paused your video.
I realized I hadn't finished this morning and grab a cup of Maxwell House (black) and am very grateful that you thought of my need to have my coffee with an amazing Ohio ASMR soundtrack! (Makes me want to go over to the Cincinnati Art Museum and admire the Rookwood pottery exhibit...again!)
Great episode, I realized as I got older, I loved nothing better than to sit in another riders shed/shop and hear their plans for their adventures.
Thank you.
That sounds like a perfect way to spend a Monday morning!
My wife and I just entered our 60's and have a very similar marriage. It works and it works well. Screw everybody else. Sitting here in the Hudson Valley NY, also with stupid cold weather, watching this video made my day. You're gonna love the Northeast. Enjoy-Stay Happy. That's what it's all about after all. Spring is right around the corner.
Spring can't come soon enough! Damn Groundhog made me mad this morning! 😅
@@HerTwoWheels we're just glad to have a touch or rain rather than snow here in Utah.
The northeast rocks!!
Damn salt dust is the pitts. Boston is covered in it. Love the channel. ❤
Hudson valley is a treat. Hope Jess checks it out.
You're right, you don't owe anyone an explanation. Go ride when you can, more power to you! My wife of 40+ years has always been happy to let me go riding solo - when you're secure in your relationship it isn't an issue. Sorry about your case of "winter motorcycling withdrawal" and I sympathize. It's 60 degrees here in northern NV but the winds are dangerously high this weekend and I'm still dealing with broken bones from a fall (not a crash). Hope you have fun this coming season seeing new scenery! Riding alone gives you time for self-contemplation and it's a good thing. BTW, your recollection is right, the Dynojet-HD partnership is for the race team. Too bad, I'd like to Dynojet tune my bike.
Awesome! Sounds like an exciting year to come!
I live in the lake effect snow belt in the Greater Cleveland Area, and you are right about the snow! It has been relentless this year, which is rare in Ohio! Rock on!
Mmm yes, you can't travel alone because gravity is just a theory and if you placed your phone on the ground it might just take off and fly away. Gotta love the internet 😂
😂
You go girl!!! Some time apart is wonderful...because coming home and coming together just gets better. You keep living your life Jess. Love watching you and your trips. Go have fun and enjoy each day.
I've been following you for years. Seen you grow. Seen your channel grow. Somewhat jealous of your achievements (in a good way) as I'd love to quit my day job and do what I love....ride to enjoy new places and experiences meeting great people who also have similar enjoyment of the open road on 2 wheels. Keep the content coming! :)
Jess, excited for you. A true cross-country tour is not small thing. As a fellow Midwesterner I've ridden to nearly all the "lower 48 states." When you circle the great lakes, I highly recommend Porcupine Mountains State Park in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. A wonderful, almost magical place. Lastly, we are 11 months from our 50th anniversary, like you and JR, we are (and always have been) comfortable away from each other. I love riding and she refuses to get on the bike but understands that I love it and find myself on two wheels. Lastly, in Idaho, if you've not already done so, put US Highway 12 on your route. The most beautiful motorcycle road in the country, without question. Have a very safe and wonderful 2025!
How exciting! I can't wait to see the videos of your travels, ❤ xx
You and hubby do what you do! Screw others that make comments. Their jealous that you're both secure in your relationship.
Hey Jess. Yes, Clap Back girl! 👏👏 I do not ride. But enjoy your riding videos. You are an inspiration to woman and I am very happy and proud of you for doing what you do. Best of luck on your journeys and safe riding and traveling. 👏👏👏
I ran into you at a gas station a few years ago. I had just left a race track east of St Louis. You rolled up after your trip to Bear tooth pass. I can say you were by yourself. Haters gonna hate. Thanks for the content!
That was such a great trip!!
Same in situation in southwest Ohio. I can't remember the last time we had this much accumulation of snow. Usually our winters are just rainy with an occasional dusting of snow the melts by 10am. The last 2 years we've had maybe a week of winter and early springs. I know last year my blueberries were blooming in January. I'm enjoying it though as I love snow. Of course I do not have a bike yet so maybe if we're lucky enough to get snow next year I may feel differently. Well just picked up my helmet this past weekend so as far as gear goes I am ready for the course come April. Can't wait to start riding! Also 100% agree with you on not caring about speed! If I had gotten into bikes in my 20's sure i probably would have looked at a sport bike because I loved going fast. Now though I enjoy taking my time. It's why I have a truck now instead of a sporty car. I like to take long trips and I'd rather go slower and be comfortable and enjoy the journey!
I can appreciate and I support your solo riding. I ride with a few close friends but I have ridden across country solo and I was amazing..I was also married to my high school sweetheart for 51 years before she passed and she didn’t mind one bit me riding solo. She rode with me a lot, she drove her own trike..but solo trips were ok by her. Enjoy your life, enjoy your adventures, enjoy your marriage and I hope they all grow with a deeper passion…hope to meet you one day..ride safe lady.
Oh my gosh yes! You totally have to see Niagara Falls from Canada. So awesome!
Big Fan...Keep doing YOUR THING...YOUR WAY!!!!!!
You and I have met 3 times on your trips. I think you have a great attitude and outlook. I’m glad you are cautious about the internet creeps and other creeps. You and your husband have things sorted as well as anyone can so don’t let people get under your skin. I have done many solo trips and feel completely the same about becoming comfortable in your own thoughts in those days of isolated travel, it is a thing of joy! Maybe we’ll run into each other again someday, I’m still jealous of what you’re doing and about to do again! 😊
I'm going stir crazy too. Looking forward to seeing your adventures and hopefully sharing my first cross country ride.
It's so hard to wait!
I just saw you in an ad in a Road Runner magazine. Get it girl!
I also ride mostly solo from and around Atlantic Canada as well as New England areas. will certainly extend a Canadian hospitality to a fellow rider if i see you along the trails or fueling up. Love the videos, the authentic vibe and being real. You have encouraged me to record my rides this coming year so will see. Safe travels
Looking forward to the upcoming tours! Please let us know if you are going to be at any of the Harley dealers. Would love to come and say hello to you! Thanks for sharing, as always!
Jess, sounds like you have a Great year coming up in riding! Great upgrades on you RG! Cant wait to watch all your videos this year! Thank you for sharing your adventures with us!
ya make a point that makes me think back to a previous job i had (tribal game warden) always outdoors, in the woods, on the water or patrolling snowmobile trails, many had contact with usually say i had the best job, but some of the things liked to do before hand, lost interest. as much like going on road trips on the bikes i have/had would have loved to do what you and others been doing until think about being more work than relaxing like being a motor cop. safe travels this year. glad i am live between las vegas and death valley.
Eyes up here. Gold Jess! 😂🤣🤣
I was seriously considering buying a Pan America and the screaming eagle option wasn't the most important at the moment for me either.
I don't quite need it to be biting the tarmac so hard since I've tried the regular S version and was satisfied with engine sound and performance as is.
Good point, your videos are great thanks for sharing ✌️
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos and I can’t wait to see what’s coming in the future and on 24 January. I got my first bike and I love it. And at the end of this month, I will be going on a 2 1/2 hour to three hour trip . and I am looking forward to it so much.❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I just bought my first Harley at 61 years old. I am looking forward to getting out there when the weather is right. North West Ohio here.
2:44 - Aww come on, you made us look down ! 🤣
8:42 - Do you, by any chance, play Moral Kombat ? 😆
Your videos are always fun to watch ! 😃
Cheers Jess ! 😃👍
RS & SV ✌
Excited and happy for you what's to come Jess! And absolutely being together in marriage or a relationship letting one person do their thing on their own is just as important as doing stuff together. Sometimes I think some people have completely lost their sense to think normal. "WhO mAkEs ThE pIcTuReS tHeN?!" Tf? 🤦🏼♂
Also those rectangle things you carry with you nowadays where you can communicate with, which in the past were sitting in your house, on a line on a power supply and you could also communicate with people and hold on people could also choose to do it to you! Remarkable right?! And nowadays those rectangular things can also make photos and videos like a camera does! You know, you had those in the past as well. They took a photo had to lay it in fluid to get it correct, later the picture rolled out and saved on a roll but later they digitalized it as well and was saved on a memory card! Amazing! 🤯
..... In al seriousness though even though your on the road you obviously have contact with your husband, family and friends like usual. So even though you are alone, you are not.
People will always be watching out and keep contact with you wherever you are and how you are doing etc. Hope Jordan can do a lot of fun stuff in the garage an take some nice rides out as well. 😄Can't wait for Spring to come ☀😎 Oh and also I love that you swear and left it in even with a beep though. 😂It's normal, most of the people do it, it's natural to us who do and I always appreciate those and leaves me smirking. 😆
I appreciate how real you are … there are so many fake people out there. Enjoy the trips, I hope it fulfills the itch the winter gives us northerners.
The itch will pass when you saddle that thing up. Have a great summer.
Hi Jess. Last year I was with the Patriot Guard escorting a veteran from SeaTac, Washington to New Jersey. Part of that trip was riding from Portland, Oregon along the Columbia and Snake Rivers into Boise, Idaho. Since you mentioned the Northwest I wanted to encourage you to take US 84 along that route. It is hands down the most amazing part or our escort. Be happy, be safe, and have a great time on your trip.
I will have to check that out! Thank you for the tip!
Thanks for sharing Jess! Looking forward to this year’s riding season! Sun is out today, a bit chilly, put your heated gear on and go ride, the rain should have washed off the salt from the roads. 😊
It was nice and mild yesterday! Back to freezing today! 😅
If it works for you, more power to you both. Love watching both of you. Safe travels.
You're a great person for sharing your mind for people that don't understand how much work you do keep you head high travel safe hope to you make to KRiver this year.
Me and my wife work very similar, we do our own things and that’s fine. I wanna say you and shade tree have been a huge inspiration to my riding journey. Jess goes west really got the fire going for long distance traveling. Keep up all the great videos.
Awwwwww Jess is beautiful and outspoken!!! I love it lol..
Great video Jess and let me tell you your plans for this year Sound amazing. Looks like tons of great content in 2025. Thanks! 🥰👍👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I appreciate the support! 🥰
Hey, Jess, first off, I'm a big admirer of your channel. I find you to be very authentic. So, to the haters... whatever, dude! I'm one of the old (mostly retired) geezers you mentioned. I'm a total woosie when it comes to snow. So, when it gets too hot down here at the river, I go up to Prescott, AZ. When the leaves start to fall, I come down to the Colorado River. I did my first camping trip of 2025 a week ago. Tomorrow, I'm going to go check out a camp site below the Hoover Dam. I love the freedom my bikes bring me (and my boy, Peanut), and I can tell you do, too. I look forward to enjoying what you share with us this year. Be safe. Have fun. Ignore the idiots. =)
I love that you’re able to travel with Peanut!
Fugg yeah jess.... Everyone needs their own space..... If it pisses people off excellent 😂😂 do it while you can, smiles per mile is what it's about.
Great video Jess. Keep it real ❤. I'm excited about your riding plans and can't wait to go with you vicariously. I'm down in Southeast Georgia and the 1 week of snow and ice and frigid killed me! I don't know how you and all those up North deal. Stay warm and happy! Jesus loves you and so do I 😊❤
I’m in NE IN, so I feel your pain re:weather! Through you, I live vicariously, as I cannot afford the kinds of trips you take. But I aspire to at least explore my home state some.
Looking forward to when you do your adventures this year! They sound exciting!!
I've got rides planned for this year, next year, and the year after. Two of the rides planned for 25 were originally planned for 24. I ran out of time and weather. That's just riding. So excited for another riding season and to see your adventures!
Hang in there Jess! I know how the holidays and the winter can affect your mood - when I lived in Rochester NY, the grey flat days got to me sometimes. Live your life and bump those that throw shade at you.
Thanks! It's hard to stay motivated sometimes.
@HerTwoWheels I dig. I had a rough 2024 with my father passing away - riding is one of many things I have to "lighten the load," so to speak.
Oh Jes, feeling the same here in Michigan. This is bad isn’t it? Really respect how you handle yourself and the adventures you go on. Why do we live here again? Maybe this depressing winter for us will help us appreciate and enjoy the riding season more. Just trying to make myself feel better but it’s not working, 🤬 winter.
I always have to remind myself that we don’t have crazy natural disasters 😅
@ how’s that working for ya 😂
Ohio here. Yes this winter has sucked. I did get out this past Saturday on my new bike and put the first 20 miles on it till I couldn't feel my fingers 🥶
And you're going to love it out here in the Pacific Northwest. I hope you get to Checkout Mount Rainier 😊
I can’t wait!
@HerTwoWheels I know it'll be worth it!
Wow your snow is about gone nice! Still have about 6 inches on the ground more snow today and tomorrow! I last time I road was late October! Don’t worry about what others say do your own thing I think it’s awesome you can do your road trips! Stay safe Jess
Can’t wait to see all your new rides. I sorry that the haters are bothering you. Love your channel. You have my respect and admiration.
I wouldn’t say “bothering me” but man I wish I can get the seconds of my life back I spend reading each ridiculous comment hahaha
Been a rough winter for me also. I'm a couple hours SE of you and I hate being stuck in the house all winter. I also ride solo all the time. My wife is unable to go with me due to a daughter that requires full time care. I only take day rides and I'm planning on seeing a lot of West Virginia this year. I also have a trusting wife and I will always stay home anytime my wife wants to go do something she enjoys. Don't let the negativity impact you.
So happy to hear you’re coming to New England. Im in Maine but mid NH has some of the best riding around. The famous Kancamagus highway is a must!
Cold here today with lots of snow & ice on the ground. Temps were -3F at 7AM. Might get up to 24F in an hour or so and a little more snow tonight. First New England winter for me after living in much warmer climates for the past 25 years. The only bike I’ve been riding lately is my new fat bike with studded tires. ADV bike is stuffed into a corner of the garage on a battery tender with Stabil in the tank. Like you, I’m looking forward to riding sooner rather than later!
Was watching Pan America reviews and ran across your channel again - think I watched your early vids when you were just starting out a few years back? Glad to see you’re still at it!
I'm excited for you to come to Michigan and hear your opinion.
The Great Lakes tour sounds awesome. One I want to do also. A 4 corners tour!! Sounds great. I look forward to seeing your travels.
You go Jess you tell those Facebook naysayers. I live up in Spokane, Washington in the PNW. I think you really enjoy it here northwest Montana northern southern panhandle of Idaho and Northeast Washington is some of the best riding anywhere.anywhere west of where I live is beautiful, but it’s always wet anyways stay calm and ride on.✌️
Love your channel ❤️ and wife and I love to ride 39 years together that's awesome you go on rides/trips with and without your husband were from mid-Michigan good bless and have 😁 🎉😇🙏🥃🥃🥃
Let the haters hate, Jess.
Don’t let them get to you!
You have inspired me to get back into riding motorcycles after a 20 year hiatus.
Your channel, 2 lane life, Spite, etc
Have convinced me, it’s time to go bike shopping and get back on 2 wheels.
It's true about the snow here in the Midwest. Years ago, we used to get tons of snow, but not in the last 30 - 40 years. We don't get enough to have fun with (like skiing or snowmobiling) just enough cold and wet to make it miserable.
Cheer up it will warm up soon. I live in FL. and you made a good move by NOT coming down this year (it has been wet and cold) not a lot of riding so far. As far as your life style If you are happy and your husband is happy and your happy together that is all that matters. Enjoy your life and make the most of it wail you can. I am 73 years old and still love riding solo. Go where you want when you want and how ever fast or slow as you want. Looking forward to your next road trip.
I'm so glad that you're still able to get out and ride. I'm looking forward to sharing more trips as we go!
Yes I am another 73 year old ridder that likes to ride alone and I agree whole heartedly.
What a great 2025 you have planned! Can't wait to see what comes of it. Fun fact: you recorded this on my birthday. :)
Great video - Makes me so glad I live in Sub Tropical Australia where it never gets that cold, and I can live on my bike :)
Being from MN I can tell you Duluth to the Canadian border on Lake superior is amazing. bunch of waterfalls and other things to check out and some great food!
We decided we had to ride today. The high never got out of the 40’s but it felt good to ride.
Sweet! I’m also getting the wedge installed this month!
Nice!
Hi Jess, I am one of your loyal followers. I love your channel and it doesn't matter to me your thumbnail or title... I'm watching! Thanks for all your content!
My wife and I have been married for 28 years. I ride and she used to ride with me but her health and her mom's age doesn't let her now. She trusts me out and about by myself. She supports my bike obsession, lol. Wish you and your husband all the best!
I'm so happy for you Jess!!! Enjoy your trips and please be careful. Your best bet is to see Niagara Falls from Canada. Do NOT get lost in NF on the U.S side...lol. take care and God Bless kiddo.
Good luck getting into Canada 🇨🇦.. It’s Game On ! 😝
Hey. Not trying to be weird but you’re rockin your health journey. I’ve noticed your face slimming down so I hope all is good. Just wanted to drop some positive vibes…. Kick rockin the vlogs!!
Go Jess! My fiance and I have been together 10 years this year and have a very similar relationship. People can just buzz off. We can do things independently and still enjoy ourselves. Look forward to seeing your videos this year!
It's crazy why geese fly in a vee...and always 1 side is longer than the other.....I know why that is....there are more geese in it....😁 Thanks for the update...stay safe on your travels. Garth
Good on you for doing you and not what others say you should do just because they do it.
How sad you had to cover these 'family' topics... but ya' got pride and you sent the message! Nods and waves;. Dave n' Adrienne in Red Bluff, CA
Oof...no rides since December. The Texas winter did it's typical winter stuff and it was sunny an 80 yesterday, so we took full advantage of it and rode as long as we could.
You definitely dont want salt getting on them beautiful Bikes!
That's why I try to wait for a good rainfall!
Along your travels, if you come to any of the major motorcycle rallies that we are working. And your service is due feel free to stop in. I would be honored to take care of your service to keep you on the road longer.
That’s incredibly generous! I’m sure the bikes will be thirsty 😅
Literally in my barn messing with gear doing the same exact thing waiting for spring!! We got bombed with snow again last night 🤣🙃
That's rough! I feel for ya.
Here in Western Montana... Today: A high of 15. Tomorrow: A high of 10. The next few days: More of the same. The snow is still on the ground and for me personally, it sucks. But hey, we chose to live here. We've made it to February and spring is that much closer.
Looking forward to seeing the Canada content! That’s a place I can’t wait to explore someday - maybe even on twos 🙌🏽
I’ve never been! Can’t wait!
This past January has been particularly brutal here in WV, so the need for 2 wheel therapy is very real, lol. A word of caution for your Great Lakes trip from a former Buffalonian, watch the forecast. It isn't unusual for Western NY to get snow in May and they've been getting hammered this winter, all the way down to and including Erie, PA. Good luck on your upcoming Great Lakes ride, and definitely indulge in some wings while you're in Buffalo! Go Bills!
I will be sure to check the forecast!
Planning normally gets me though the no ride time here in MD. But Its been a long season of just sloppy cold. You and your husband define your relationship. No one else need to get involved in that. I love two wheel travel, just getting out there and living in the moment. I do not have to ride with anyone, but I enjoy meeting and handing out with people. Looking forward to some Pan America stuff. Ride safe and do you're own thing.
I'm looking forward to warmer weather too!
I seriously cannot believe someone said your other half was having an affair! I would not bother explaining to anyone else what and why I do things. Do what you want, your channel is great. I stopped social media early on and now sell my tours almost by invitation only and reputation. Thanks for the videos, keep them coming.
No they assume I was having the affair. Because I travel alone. 😂
An old man rider,here......Jess, you just continue to do what you do.....thanks for your adventures..... maybe run into you on the road ( ill buy coffee)......MC Traveler
Great video Jess! (As usual) .) Yep,, Spring Fever here in Indiana also, BIG TIME! Have a great year & plz stay safe! I'll do the same.. Looking forward to your new 2025 vids.. Have fun! 😎 ✌
I appreciate you watching! Stay safe out there.
Just do what you do. Don't owe anyone an explanation. And most importantly of all, enjoy what you do.
And if it wasn't for this darn snow, we all would be enjoying ourselves.
Hope you come to Massachusetts it has some beautiful places and great food
Jess you are doing great. I am in the same boat here in WA, I have also not been on my bikes since mid November. I don't know what we are going to do about these insecure people that think women are supposed to be bare foot, pregnant and in the kitchen. I watch you and your hubby on UA-cam and keep on keeping on.
My goodness! You invented a new device! A 'Try-pod' you call it? Oh, Tripod. Catchy name. Maybe it will catch on. It may not 'cuz it isn't high tech.
Dream about asphalt and nice weather. It will be here sooon!!
Very cool tripod!
It's been a lifesaver!
Nice one Jess looking forward to your next trip
I can’t wait to hear the geese where I live too!
I have covered the 48 continental states on motorcycle after I graduated from high school many years ago. Good luck on finishing your bucket list. Don't let the haters and idiots out there bother you. You do you. You and Jordan make your own decisions and love your lives. Be safe in all you do
!!!!
Excellent
I ride 90% of the time by myself sleep beside the road most of the time some of the best trips not traveling with anyone makes it easier just to go down the road anywhere you want to go love the videos keep up the great work you and your husband be safe
I am excited for you! I am about a 2 years behind you.
