Time for Tea with Christina, a Genomics STP

Hi everyone! Today I spoke with Christina, a 1st year Genomics trainee based in Birmingham (with me!). She’s Superwoman and somehow managed to write her thesis to finish her PhD whilst starting the programme, so has some really good insight if you’re in the same position. We chatted about how the genetics rotation was structured, what the assessments were like and what it’s like to join the STP with little clinical experience.

Its good to know that this is manageable with a PhD.. because i'll just be finishing up my PhD in August/September as well.. thank for sharing this..

Hi Niall, thanks for your feedback! I’m aiming to do a video on all specialisms so will be getting in touch with a vascular trainee as soon as possible! Thanks for the video...Please I would like to ask is it possible for someone to defer their admission intake into the STP program for one year owing to reasons such as child birth or maternity?
