Loving the videos so far, are you planning on doing one with someone from clinical immunology?

    Hi Meg,
This is super helpful, thank you so much. Could you please let me know what are the places/hospitals in the UK that accepts the Clinical Bioinformatics track. I know the application is now closed. But asking for next year, finger crossed.
Is there a possibility to specialize in clinical genomics of GI let's say?
    Thanks again
    Marwa

Sort of having some additional training in Nutrition in this case, would that be possible?

Hi Marwa, the hospitals that offer places change each year depending on the needs of the department, so I can't say where will be offering CBI next year unfortunately. However, the NSHCS website shows the different places on offer this year so you could take a look there! nshcs.hee.nhs.uk/programmes/stp/applicants/stp-posts-2021/
In response to your other question - you can't do 2 specialisms in one, however during first year you do rotate around other departments to get a view of what they do. GI Physiology trainees don't rotate around Genomics though. To get more of an idea of what you'd be learning, the NSHCS website has the curriculum and it gives you a really good insight!
Thanks for watching and good luck next year!
      Meg
