I still remember after Indonesia eradicated communism and saved Southeast Asia from communist ideology. The USA persuaded Suharto to invade Timor Leste which had just been abandoned by the Portuguese and its founding party had a communist ideology "Portuguese Timor is too small to be independent......it is not economically feasible. Independence will not be accepted in Indonesia, Australia and other countries in this region," Gough Whitham prime minister of australia when persuading suharto 1974 and after that Indonesia invaded Timor Leste unilaterally and was supported by the USA, Australia and the West in 1974 and the f is in 1999 to 2002 the US and Australian media reported every day the cruelty of Indonesia's invasion of Timor Leste and the USA and its western allies immediately gave sanctions to Indonesia in 1999. In politics is no standard as always
It is should be noted that Mr Soeharto consulted the US president the day before the invasion. Sure, we may be persuaded to do so, but i believe that our desicion is accountable to us aswell and we have to endure the consequence of our actions without denying it.

The only explanation as to why so many Timorese say they hate Angola is that both Timor Leste and Angola are Portuguese speaking countries (at least officially). Angolans are rude compared to for example Portuguese or Mozambicans. Timorese have very close ties to all these three countries. It is amazing that no one hates Portugal, the colonial power (usually the hate target). I don’t think race is the main cause since Timorese are almost black too. In Portugal, many hate Angolans too, because of their superior attitude.

Well because we're literally bordering each other so why must hate each other. Peace and love🇮🇩🇹🇱✌️
I still remember after Indonesia eradicated communism and saved Southeast Asia from communist ideology. The USA persuaded Suharto to invade Timor Leste which had just been abandoned by the Portuguese and its founding party had a communist ideology
"Portuguese Timor is too small to be independent......it is not economically feasible. Independence will not be accepted in Indonesia, Australia and other countries in this region,"
Gough Whitham
prime minister of australia when persuading suharto 1974
and after that Indonesia invaded Timor Leste unilaterally and was supported by the USA, Australia and the West in 1974
and the f is in 1999 to 2002 the US and Australian media reported every day the cruelty of Indonesia's invasion of Timor Leste and the USA and its western allies immediately gave sanctions to Indonesia in 1999.
