This is my second reaction to "Mic Drop" by BTS. It was so different from Life Goes On, so I was pretty surprised. Anyway, I liked this experience.
I started this channel to dive into the world of KPOP, so I can't react to the same group every time. I want to give a chance to all groups, just as I want to meet new ones. Therefore, I hope for your patience and understanding)

BTS does use green screen when they cannot make or build it, depending on what is needed. In saying that, they rarely use green screen. Most of their sets you would think are green screen but are not. In this particular MV, they do not use green screen in this one. Don't worry....everyone is surprised and a bit upset that there's not another drop at the end of the song... but it makes sense that it ended when it did. In that last outro bit the lyrics are saying "Good bye, we're not going to waste our time and energy on haters and nay sayers anymore", so basically they drop the mic and the song ends cuz there's nothing more to say.

Black Swan is another good example of a different genre song from BTS that shows how talented and versatile they are.

BTS vocal line are are exceptional singers, with distinct voices, and the rap line are the best real rappers in kpop. Their lyrics are deep and they have the biggest and most diverse discography in kpop. They are phenomenal live. Everything they do in the majority of the songs/MVs is intentional to the details.
Mic Drop is BTS response to their haters with a little flexing on the side...spitting facts lol...with Suga's epic lines "tasteless ratatouille" and "if you"re jealous sue it" lol 💯💯💯
OMG, you noticed Jungkook and Jimin jumping in slowmo of that table. No one ever sees that or the other details, mirror and camera.
BTS MV will always surprise you. And the music is always unexpectedly different (from 'what should be). BTS will never cease to entertain me with 'uniqueness'. They don't follow the norm of the industry.

I recommend you check the live performance from their recent Yet To Come Busan concert last October 2022. This was their opening song performed with a live band in front of over 70k live audience in attendance plus over 45M live streams worldwide real time making the apps to crash from time to time lol. You need to see it too. The whole concert was a blast.

Bts barely ever use green screen. They have a making of video sketch for this song. The explosion and all are real. They try to make everything authentic and real. The one in the red jacket that you said you did see in the life goes on video is rm. He was the guy in life goes on on the balcony with the bicycle rapping.
Learning about bts is gonna be one of the best journeys of ur life trust me. I wish i could go back to day one and learn about them all over again. They arent kpop kings for nothing, they're the biggest boyband in the whole world and they deserve to be so cuz what they do is PURE ART. They arent guys who just sing and dance, they are ARTISTS , and u'll get to know what i mean when thoughout ur journey. u've got a loooong way to go but trust me its gonna be sooo much fun. I suggest u to react next to blood sweat and tears.

There's an ending beat drop in the dance break version! Its epic. Please continue discovering BTS. Also I really appreciated how you reacted to life goes on and you were so receptive . It so great to see other people understanding the bangtan members and being moved by their lyrics :) They are healing artists.

When you were confused about the camera during the dancing by the "mirror". It wasn't actually a mirror but a window. Jungkook (the member dancing) was filmed again dancing from his back to make it look like a mirror. Their director's mind is in a next level. That's what you got to do when working with superb artists. I really appreciate your observation skills. I enjoyed watching your reactions. Can't wait for the next one. 😄
By the way, the explosion part is not a green screen. The black and white, bridge part was the only green screen in this music video. When you watch the behind the scene of this one, you can see that they set the cars on fire and the members had a hard time with their expression when dancing while the car at the back explodes. Of course they had percussions and the members' safety is top priority.
That last part will be in their live performance....... BTS knows how to play with our emotions 😂

BTS is not only appreciated for their music, they are well known for their lyricism, artistry and choreography. Their performances are to be understood at many levels… for they could involved art history, science and other literature. They are king of live performance for many of their live performances are better than studio version. Personally, I prefer their most recent Mic Drop and RunBTS live performances at Busan than their studio in every aspect.
Mic Drop Gotta be one of biggest breakthrough Kpop group songs on USA.

Trust me they always go that hard, thats just how they are, and I love how you said they can do every genre, but you said that only after hearing two songs, lol. I mean you are very correct, but they have so many more types of genre's than just those two, it is simply impressive, inspiring, and unique.

maybe they didn't put a beat drop because they have already said what they have to say that it is way it ended like that, mic drop means ending a discussion after a a definitive point has been made or said. They might have intended to replace the beat drop to the sound of the mics dropping. they do play with their music a lot, try their cyphers. thank you for a nice reaction video

There are often several versions of the Official" music video.
The "Ioniq: I'm On It" is a promotional song for Hyundai. But you barely notice the car because the mv & song are so good; similar style as "Film Out"
"Come Back Home" was released on July 4, 2017 as remake of Seo Taiji’s song "Come Back Home" for Seo Taiji 25th Anniversary Remake Project.
“With Seoul” is a BTS song and film highlighting Seoul as a vacation spot. The original also shows them recording it. They have also done 3 other versions, including a “short” on 2020-09-11; a beautiful drone visual of Seoul (The Four Seasons of Seoul” on 2019-12-30, & an amazing drone visual mv on 2021-01-09.
My personal favorite "other version" video is "DANGER (Mo-Blue-Mix) , featuring THANH". Thanh is an Australian-Vietnamese singer. This song has a R&B vibe with some great lyrics added by Thanh.
There are loads of their other songs including some of my favorites: “Dionysus”, “Ma City”, “Truth Untold”, ”Outro: Tear”, “House of Cards”, “Lost”, “Dimple”, “Butterfly”, etc. and their solo, rapline, vocal line, short films, comeback trailers, etc. not included.
Mic Drop is my favorite song! Definitely check a live performance or their dance practice there is a beat drop where you were expecting it 😆

The video is an abridged version of the Steve Aoki remix for Mic Drop. On the album and in their dance practice there is a longer version which you might like better.

No green screen. BTS rarely uses that. You will see much more CGI in their videos, but not here. The set with the fire and explosions is a live set.
Interestingly enough, there's no final beat drop for the MV but there's an extended version in the actual song that you can find on Spotify where it goes on much longer with just the beat. They use that section to do the dance break in concerts. So if you're curious about that you can check it out on your own time. Or maybe if you want you can react to the dance practice where they do the dance break (there are multiple dance practices for Mic Drop). Also if you're curious about the behind the scenes of this, they have a shooting sketch video showing what the set is like, the effects, the live fire and explosions, some of the blocking done, etc. You seemed facinated by the intricacies of the video so that would answer some of your questions in a way more interesting way than any of our comments could.

The whole idea behind the song is a Mic Drop. You flex say your piece and then you are out. They wrote this after Obama did his famous Mic Drop. Not green screened for the explosion. There is a brilliant making of video for this. Also remember this song came out in 2017. They just did for their Busan concert Mic Drop with a live band and it is fire.

You ain´t seen nothing yet. I like some k pop groups but no other is like BTS. They are way outside from k pop. They do all genres, their rappers are 3 of the best in the industry (check out DDaeng, UGH, Cyphers 1,2,3,4, Outro: Tear). Then they got solo mixtapes, solo songs, solo albums and hundreds of amazing songs together: Not Today, Fire, Idol, Dope, Fake love, Blod, sweat and tears, Run BTS, Born Singer, Boy with love, ..... you name it. They have great albums in Japanese where they display amazing vocals...
