Very glad to see you find someone in need and deserving of this bike giveaway, instead of just randomly selecting via comments or whatever. Ive heard bad things about giveaway hawkers who use bots to win giveaways and then sell em. That just takes away from the whole giveaway idea so its nice to see it go to someone like her! Good on you Matty!
Riding is one of the best feeling in the world. It took me a my cousin to some time convince one of our friend to go biking. She road with us every weekend. It got her out of her depression. She was gonna use her brother bike. I road that thing and told her hell no. You will not survive we got you covered. Got her set up on a spare. And she was hook. So much happier.
good on you, dude. with bike theft as rampant as it is, seems like another reason to favor the walmart bike. probably a lot less likely to get stolen, and if it does it's a lot less of a hit.
I have a Salsa Warbird Gravel bike and it is my favorite bike in my fleet. In C. Springs the trail system alternate from paved to gravel. The thing I like about my gravel bike is the ability to ride far. I had Walmart bikes in the past and mainly used those bikes to ride around in my neighborhood. My kids are now in college so I ride my bike further compared to when they were at home and we were attending their various activities. The Walmart gravel bike seems ok for riding in my neighborhood, but I would not have confidence riding far or across my city on a regular basis. That was pretty cool you gave your bike you rarely ride to a person who could use it 🫡
Matty, i'm not sure how i feel about buying an ozark gravel, but when you tested that Breezer, i was so in awe of that Bike. If i get a gravel, its going to be the breezer.
That was an awesome thing, brother 😊 As for the G1, I just busted 102 miles on mine and finished up that "100 Miles in June" for the AHA, really enjoying the bike so far ✌️😁
Just curious on if you did a century ride or put 100 miles total in June riding the Ozark Trail? I'd be impressed if anyone can do a century ride on that bike with little modifications.
@@MattyActive dope! Thanks for the inspiration of starting a mountain bike channel. I went and spoke with the dudes at Trek in Broomfield and got set up on a Marlin 6 Gen 3 so I could start making some content other then trash truck videos and firearms. Thanks brother man!
Good on ya, buddy she'll use that thing a lot. I hope she keeps it indoors , some places you just need to keep your bike in the hallway or even in your bedroom. Sucks, but that's the way it is.
Bro...nicely done! 👍🏾 As someone who recently had a bike stolen, I'm still very blessed because I have others. You and I haven't met, but I have nothing but respect and appreciation for your intentionality, and what you did for J. 👊🏾
Matty - Went to the local Walmart this afternoon and I finally got to see this bike in person - they had 2, a small and medium. Tried the medium which fits fine (I'm 5'9") and it didn't seem too heavy like many people claimed. Was going to "test ride" around the bike department but both tires were flat on both bikes and the front tire steered to the left for the medium (didn't bother to take down the small bike on the middle rack.) All the components on it are junked IMO and even the frame is iffy. Now that I saw it in person, I personally believe it's a poor man's Poseidon. Keep in mind, I have bought Schwinn MTB from Walmart before and still own one (first one got stolen outside my work) so I am familiar with their components. It's equipped with Shimano Tourney which is junked, mechanical brakes didn't squeak amazingly, drivetrain and freewheel are both junked. I've got to listen to that "coasting" sound and yes, it got annoying after 5 minutes. I realize that it's an economical bike geared towards new riders on the fence with gravel riding and wanting to "test the water" before dropping some serious cash on a brand name gravel bike but it just had a cheap feel to it. If I had time and extra parts laying around, I'd buy it used and gut everything out. It would be my Winter "Franken" bike. Tire clearance is good, lots of mounts and a metal frame that isn't too heavy. That's my 2 cents so take it for what it's worth. Glad you are enjoying your bike and a nice gesture on your part to give away the Apollo.
Did you get a chance to test Priority Gemini? It's unrelated to your video but some people say they found Alfine cable adjustment hard to do, and that's where Pinion shines. But in your case it hasn't reached that point since you used the bike not often. Nice that she gets to enjoy the bike.
Hey Matty! Have you looked into going Tubeless on that yet or feel like it's not necessary? In NM we have lots of goatheats (stickers) so it's a pain here with tube's. I honestly don't know much about gravel bikes at all but km interested.
Take her on a gravel ride, and mix-in some green trails! Thanks for paying it forward!

Why not? If everything is correctly assembled, what's the difference between riding it 5 miles or 40 miles?

For sure I’m taking the breezer over the ozark trail. The Apollo was just in between both bikes so I didn’t really ride it much.
Nice gesture. Definitely give mountain biking a go.
I agree 100 percent Matty, I bought one last week haven't been off it yet!
That was awesome! Really kind and generous of you, you could tell she really appreciated it.
Of course she should try mountain biking! If she's cool with being in videos, go riding with her on your Ozark Trail on gravel, then loan her a MTB.
Kudos to you man - lucky girl, would be great to see more footage of her riding trails 🚴
Get out there in the dirt girl! Great gesture Matty..

What up Matty! Yo have you hit the mountain bike park in Berthoud yet? It’s so sick!
I’ve been once but wanna go again soon!

You have a big heart.what a nice thing to do,you shouĺd be proud of yourself,it is nice to see soome people still have some of the old values,
That was so nice of you Matty! You’re the man. She should definitely try mountain biking! Great video as always.
Oh yeah, Another Matty Active video.
Good on you Matty hope she loves her new bike
I should buy one of those Ozark Trails 😂
Awesome way to give back though, I’m sure she’ll put some serious miles on that thing.
Make a video of you two going on a ride! I wanna see that bike in action!
What a light, refreshing mtb dude!
I have a thumbs up for the backflip buddy
such a cool video man
Marty’s a saint AND a king. 👍👍👍👍
Well done man, got me choked up.
I’d like to see a budget bmx bike video. Maybe thruster or mongoose?
It would be dope if you did small upgrades on the Ozark

Yea I got to try the priority Gemini. It’s unbelievably smooth! Way better than the alfine
Great video Matty
Awesome job bro 👏
God bless. Matty, you are an awesome human being!

I would definitely look into tubeless! We have those here too
Cool! Are those wheels tubeless compatible or do you have to upgrades the wheels?
Bike thieves SUCK. Way to pay it forward, and you should definitely get her into mountain biking!
Could you review a 2024 trek pro caliber 6?
Trek just released this alloy version and I think it replaces the x-caliber.
I can do that!
Brother what kind of orange triangle bag is that? I'd like to grab one for myself.
The bottom bracket looks really low on that Ozark.
This is great !
I hope you threw in a taller short stem and moved that seat forward. 😂
She needs to try a couple of things:
1. keeping her bike inside her apartment (bike thieves suck)
2. mountain biking (
Is this bike good for just riding for like a couple of miles ?
awesome!!
Cool.
needs some tweaking to fit her. v nice gesture. there's too much stealin going on in the world, by too many greedy people.
Why would get into the if your gonna insult us
The bike seems too big for her, but it's the thought that counts.
She's not much different in height to Matty and she was standing over the frame ok, probably just needs to adjust the saddle height down a bit
An Ozark Trail over an Apollo... Nah!
If the next video is not about her Mountain biking, I'm unsubscribing...
