PERFECTLY describes my abusive, narcissistic mother who made sure I lived in pure hell every single day of my life until I finally ran away from home and attempted suicide at 16. Still, I kept trying to have a "close relationship" with her... only thing I ever remember wanting from her. I FINALLY wised up at 38 and ended all contact and found the greatest sense of peace in my life! Only regret is wish I'd wised up sooner!
Same here but I can finally be at some peace ....mines is deceased, at least I know she can never play her games on me anymore.

She tried to force a relationship after 26years without one... when I called her out on everything she had done to me she told me it wasn't her that did that stuff to me.. she also told me if I didn't do what she wanted she wash' t leaving me anything when she died. I said okay!! Now get the f**k off my property! Never heard from her again.

@BindiLaaa My siblings are deceased, so when I should have been her first choice and would have been had she treated me like she even liked me. I was her last choice. Sad. Not the way I wanted our relationship to go but.. she chose for me. I felt like anything she "might will to me" held nothing but bad memories for me that I had spent the better part of my adult life trying to get over. So I wanted no part of her offer. Just wasn't worth it. She proved to me she hadn't and wasn't willing to change even when she was in need when she denied what she had done to me.
Best route of action when one is surrounded or encountered by narcissistic people at a gathering or workplace for example, is to leave and never associate with them again. Narcissistic people do not deserve neither your energy or your time. Good video and content.

They are so afraid to be left alone. This is ultimately their own fault and many will also die alone because no one wants to have anything to do with them anymore.

It is because of videos like this that i have my own new strategies. Im a counselor who shines at an elementary school. I am in battle w 2 malignant narc vice principals who hate me for that. Yesterday was first day back. I gave a presentation entitled "The Power of Encouragement". It was these videos and the grace of God helping me.
Try this: when you are face to face with a covert narc who is trying to thro shade by making sarcastic funny comments where you are the brunt of the joke, scrunch yer face like yer smelling something bad and go “ Huh?” They will have to repeat it. Do the same thing again.”Wha?!” They’ll have to say it again... eventually they will stop cuz it’s too exhausting for them & they did NOT get you mad , thus not feeding their supply.
So fun to f*k with their minds, once you've figured them out...lol.

Yes.. they start their Smear campaigns and break up relationships. They always need new supply because they deplete and destroy the ones their with and there's no shame that the new supply is usually just in your inner circle. No shame. Imagine knowing a narc who became a therapist and abused people. Imagine seeing this person at work everyday and knowing why they can no longer use their credentials, but still employed in a similar field. The thought of it is so sick and I don’t know why this “thing” isn’t in prison.
Scenario: you put 2 narcissists in the same room. Just them, no one else. What could happen? They one-up each other to death?

What I've seen is mutual admiration for what they're not. Think "The Emperor's New Clothes," and they're getting off on each other. They share each others' delusions, and take comfort in that.
NOW...this is when there's no threat to their ego. If someone has to WIN, then you can count on them stabbing the other. As we know, narcs are incapable of loyalty or being good losers, no matter their opponent.
They’ll pretend to be best friends while gathering dirt on each other and trying to gain each other’s trust.

Wow! I just discovered this clip, and it is spot on! I had a female assistant who worked for me. It took me over a year to realize she was a grandiose narcissist. I figured it out in the beginning that she was 1. Always right, never wrong, never made a mistake, and she knows everything. 2. She did not like authority - she resented authority and took everything personal. I discovered those two things really early. Side bar: There are so many other characteristics that became evident. I started a diary. There were so many things that would trigger her. I terminated her position the day before Thanksgiving. Sorry, I rambled on. Thank you for reading and sharing your knowledge.

i first noticed this in my children's mom when i offered her the front row at a school christmas concert and she FREAKED out yelling, "get away! get away!" while flailing her arms around wildly!
so i smiled, went back to the front row and enjoyed my children's concert!
Another time she threw my daughters optometrist prescription into the bush; i guess cuz it was me that helped my daughter see properly (after she apparently complained to her mom about not being able to see for years)

TRUST is like a crystal glass that once it's broken its hard to put the pieces back together and when you try to fix them, you might get puncture and get hurt. The crystal glass would never be the same no matter what. That is why it's important to apply wisdom when dealing with our partners and i believe smartness is essential in any relationship. Afraid her ex supply would warn me about her afraid of responsibility after of accountability

She discarded 4 years later after to give closure or actually let me know she was leaving.
No contact total 100% ghost non existent in my life for 5 years zero hoover attempts. Life is back to fantastic. Once again.

This video validated my feelings about the person I was with. I felt like garbage when I was with him. Even though he did everything "superficially right", it felt so bad.
Jill I found you after dating a psychologist who also happens to have narcissistic personality disorder. I felt so validated after hearing this. He was always able to convince me that I was the problem. I’m a people pleaser to a problematic degree so naturally we have been drawn to each other. It’s been an ongoing on and off relationship for the last 5 years and I’m trying to break that cycle. Thank you for the insight.

I been from her 3 weeks , one of many times , it’s a toxic game with them , but to you it’s mental cruelty , I’m fed up of 8 yrs of total mental cruelty toxic games & feeling of worthlessness, I exposed her , walked away , but she went crazy , & smear campaign against me & now giving the silent treatment, I’m used to it but it’s so life draining I cannot put up with this fake relationship, she has drained me physically , mentally ,financially, like a vampire they suck the very life out of you if we let them , I know this is early days heartbroken , but I have to untangle this mess, she is v dangerous woman , please help me God !! 😢

I recently had to quit my job,I'm a CNA,I took care of people with behavioral health disorders (they were older)There was a woman there that really had it in for me,she targeted me and everytime I was her caregiver she would act as if I was killing her,she would go into this rage about how I was just like her abusive ex-husband,she would say things like "why dont you just hit me,I know you want to."she even went so far as to report me to social services saying she was afraid of me,.I got suspended,so I just quit.Even when my suspension was over,I would have been reassigned to another area,(I had people there that I really did care about,and I didnt want to be reassigned)so I quit,plus this way I dont have to worry about running into that woman again.I never abused that woman,but at the same time I don't have to live there ,she does,so I left.

Because they are incapable of handling love. To them, love makes them feel inferior. One person to them is inadequate, you need to be perfect, without any form of mistake to qualify to have them in your life. That is why relationships with them fail terribly.
Because they think there a god, and you or anyone else can’t out shine them. Sad creatures 🤷♂️

I have been told I have narcissistic tendancies,but could not relate to most of this except # 3,fear of rejection.My dad left when I was 7,and my mom was wonderful,but really passive.Therefore,I was forced to be the man,take control,in order to survive.My mother had no rules,and to this day I have a hard time following rules.I do love people,and being the center of attention.I think I always used humor to be seen.I don't think I am better than anyone else,and I am compassionate,and fun.I feel like I have a void from my childhood that causes me to feel seen more than most people though.I am a loving,and giving friend,and mom,but sometimes others tell me I have ignored their boundary when I haven't even realized that. 😣

This sure explains why things fell apart for me in romance with a narcissist twice the moment there was a definite possibility that a child was going to be coming into the picture and which got far worse the moment those children in agreement after marrying them once when later right after maybe having conceived one and then which got far worse after the children arrived when they could no longer be the center of my attention and so according to them I was all to blame and the crazy one no matter how bad they were ALL in union treating me like life itself depends on it. And so that fact about narcissists is now as clear to me as the existence of how a hell can exist on earth too for all of us still living human beings who are are by nature just as way too innocent while there is is still human life in human bones no matter who it is still alive needing to depend on them . It seemed like all hell was breaking loose in both those marriages at that time. And then somehow or other both of them managed to convince many that it was me instead who wanted to be the center of attention always all along while paying or supposed to be continuing to pay the bills to support me. Then as soon as a lawyer or someone else would catch on both those 2 narcissistic men would drop all contact with them right away to move onto their next flying monkey preferable in the military, police or the child welfare system recruit. It was a nightmare that lasted for a total of 40 years for me through those 2 marriages and 2 ugly cost a lot divorces. If it hadn't been for friends, relatives, family members and genuine church goers from more than one Christian worship rite and from Jewish services trying to help me through it I don't believe I could have survived well enough to carry on with maybe now still the possibility of ever being able to hold down any kind of full time job again including any kind of desk job which requires any kind of higher education to work behind a screen all day or to help people who are sick at work in any health care setting including being only a social worker or recreational therapy aid in any hospital.

My soon to be ex-mother in law is like that,I told my daughter that her dad was never a good husband,all he ever did was call me names,and put me down,he would say and do things that were just shocking and outrageous.(I was trying to explain to her why the way she feels about him as her dad,is different than the way I feel about him as a husband,and now an ex)I got a little pissed off because his mother tries to involve my daughter in the personal things of the marriage and I had to tell her it doesn't matter to me what kind of husband his mother thinks he is(unless she's married to him its irrelevant.)so I dont need or want her opinion.

Well I exposed my narcissistic hyper sexual acts on Facebook. I put a picture of every one of her boyfriends on there. I had one of them threatening me. They called me and I told them off because she was ghosting me because I forgave her but she was my nurse's aide. Not like I just met her I knew her for 8 years. She said she's only with me and she loves me. And told me the same thing she told everybody else I can't be with you I got to take care of getting my kids back. While she's been doing the same thing to guys for the last 4 years. I was so depressed I have PTSD panic attacks depression and maybe bipolar. But I have a conscience I try to do what's right.
