Over the next four weeks our plan is to take you to four of the Gulf Islands in four weeks. If you have visited Pender Island, Saturna Island, Galiano Island or Mayne Island let us know in the comments what your favourite things to do on the island! Let us know all your pro tips.
We had a beautiful day on the island with blue skies and sunshine and fresh air. On the ferry ride over we marked on the map all the places we wanted to visit. Medicine Beach, Brooks point, Enchanted Forest Park, Oaks Bluff, Roe Islet Trail, Roe Lake Trails.
Fun Fact: There are no squirrels on Pender Island.
Outlander Fans, the author of the Outlander Kitchen cookbook has lived on Pender Island for over 13 years.
We started on Roe Island Trail. The landscape was so beautiful with the trees, the rocks and the ocean. Very pretty. Our second stop was Peter Cove and we were greeted by a friendly dog.
Pender Island features a car stop program. I took the next ride to Magic Lake Swimming Hole. Nobody went swimming unfortunately.
Next stop was South Pender Island and the Enchanted Forest Trail. The raven calls were incredible. The forest was magical. The best part of the trail was the waterfall and lookout point. So incredibly beautiful.
We finished our day at Brooks Point Regional Park. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Pender Island.
