  • fine art flower photography on a budget for beginners and anyone who wants to try. This is a how-to-do fine art photography step by step that explains how anyone can have a go and do fine art photography with the simplest of equipment. in this video, I show how working with a canon 7dm2 and a canon 100mm macro lens and colour changing a light bulb I bring the flower to life with a classy looking vintage style photo.

    Tee hee. A moment ago I watched a well known chap who had been given an £8k Hasselbad and he’d hired a yacht, all very lovely but just eye candy. Then I watched you, far more realistic and helpful in the world I live in🤪

      Thank you my kind friend it is all down to moving the light to get the colours you want then just tweaking the settings my pictures are just 2 stops under exposed hope this helps my friend

    Lee, just came across this video... love every minute of it. I takes pics on a very low budget, and have only started trying the fine art stuff.. guess I should follow my dutch heritage and do some dutch light painting lol...

    As expected well presented and simple not disappointed another good one Lee, I bought the light recently from Amazon, haven't done much with it yet, but I'm happy with the little I have done it works great I'm 77 if I can work it anybody can, the only problem I had was it would not respond to remote after the first use I was on the verge of sending it back then I thought about the battery in the remote, pinched one from one my wife's artificial Tea lights sat in perfectly problem solved.

    Another great vlog and nice flowers. I am going to look at another angle for my flowers this year in my garden. I will be lookng at the back of the flowers as I have noticed some rather intresting shapes from the rear. A little prodject I have set myself as the garden progresses this year this will be year 3 in my new place and still sorting out the planting. Take care and be safe.

I have found some Japanese lantern seeds that I have just put in for this year they look amazing and the flowers really make great subjects to dry out and photograph have a look to see if you can get some my friend

    Have you ever thought of using the little square original Lume Cubes for light with your macro. You can get snoots, barn doors, gels etc. for them. Though expensive they are great.

    The lights are brilliant for the price, please be aware the remote hand set being (21 key IR remote controller ,Range of 5m) can switch on other equipment in that area. This happened to me in dramatic style when it switch on my Brennon MP3 player to full volume! More worried if it is some form of mobile heating which uses a remote.

    I knew this video was coming so I naively thought "That should be easy" and tried it last night - result was total failure. It just proves I NEED LEE! On another matter I ordered the colour changing light bulb a month ago and the package came in this week - the control came and no light bulb!!

      @@LeeHallphotography Once my ordered light bulb comes in I'll be fine. I tried to backlight the flowers with a torch and it didn't work. Not every experiment works right. Thanks for your reply.

      Good morning sorry for the late response the one I use is a 40w but I find my one a little to dark at ti.es so I am looking at getting a brighter one may be a 70w

    Valentines day is the perfect excuse to buy your wife flowers to keep yourself out of the dog house but really they are for our photography when she is not looking 😂🤫🤫
    I am going to try this out tonight, cost me $35 for a bulb and a hanging socket. My bulb doesnt have a controller though i have to download an app on my phone to control it.
