Sony dropping the mic is the biggest moment easily. Before that conference everyone was resigned to the idea that Sony and Microsoft were going to outlaw sharing games, require an always on-line connection, and eliminating selling your games (which I don't even do but people should be allowed to, just like with music and movies). After Microsofts multi-media focused conference, and their confirming that yes indeed you need to always be on the internet even to play single player and no game sharing/selling, Sony grabs them by the throat and punishes them and doesn't let up for an hour and a half. It was the single most decisive beatdown I have ever seen, it was so goddamn exciting to watch live!
I'm a Xbox gamer and I completely Agree with you, Microsoft fucked them self basically... They have fixed it now, but it's to late. Ps4 is a mile ahead of Xbox one If you look at console sold. I'm hyped for Project scorpio though :)

The Final Fantasy 7 remake had people screaming out at the trailer in tears and presenters forgetting they were live on-screen to flip chairs and jump on tables. I don't think I'd be alone to believe that should've near enough, if not, topped the list rather than included as an honourable mention.

The Unravel presentation from EA's E3 2015. It's not about the money and it's not about showmanship, it's the game. That's what E3 should have been about for me. It should have been a celebration about game - and this guy was clearly so excited about his game and loves his game so much that he tried his best presenting it even though he look so scared and nervous. It was touching and very relatable for me. It gave me hope for gaming, more than anything. That's the best E3 moment for me.

My all time favorite moment from an E3. It was the first time I ever watched an E3, I watched it live through G4 tv before they got cancelled. It was SWTOR. And omg it was amazing. The music. The action. The CGI and animation. It was stunning, almost hallucinating so. The flash of the light sabers as they clashed, the intensity. You could feel the electricity emitting from the screen. And when it ended with the infamous Star Wars music... It was the first time I was left speechless. It’s my fondest memory of E3. And every time I hear “E3” SWTOR premiere always comes to mind first.

This year had a few amazing moments from Sony. Crash Bandicoot's shadow following along the floor behind the host walking onto stage, Hideo Kojima's return with a live orchestra playing Dies Irae, and Kratos stepping out of the shadows at the beginning.
That definitely wasn't great. It was kind of pathetic on Sony's part. They basically said, "Hey, everyone! We're Sony and we're really excited about Shenmue 3, but we aren't going to make it ourselves. All of you fans have to pay for its development or else it won't happen!"

What?!?!?!?!?, EVERYONE WAS SHOUTING , IT was loud as fuck, they collected A LOT OF MONEY in the first HOURS, i mean seriously, that would have been at least an honorable mention.
To be fair, Shenmue hadn't seen the light of day for 14 years and Sony needed proof that people were still interested at all in a third game before investing in such a risky property. I doubt you even care about this but Shenmue games are expensive as fuck to produce (the first game spending about $70 million from development costs in 1999, which would equate to about $101 million by today's standards) and while both games were critically acclaimed upon release, they sold rather poorly. You'd be a little wary too if you were about to invest in something that doesn't exactly have a good track record.
Bethesda E3 2015 will always be my favorite. My husband and I were so excited, we were wearing party hats and our favorite Fallout T-shirts. This actually makes me even more sad about this year's conference. :(
I had an older gentleman (probably 70-75) ask me what was so appealing about video games when I worked in electronics at Walmart and I asked what he liked when he was a kid and he said Wild West movies like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, so I said imagine getting to have that movie experience but control and be a part of the experience instead of just watching, and in some cases have a unique experience compared to others. Unfortunately I couldn't convince him to buy a PlayStation lol but it was certainly cool being able to explain why some of us are so passionate about it to the older generation who grew up listening to the radio and watching those old movies when they came out lol

You're seriously gonna tell me that, during a period where Mega Man's future seemed non-existent and his fans were desperate to ever see him again, Nintendo righting Capcom's wrongs and answering the prayers of millions with their out-of-left-field reveal of the most wanted Smash Bros. newcomer wasn't even in the top 10 for you? I don't even like Mega Man that much, but I still appreciate the significance of his moment in the spotlight during his darkest hour.

That definitely wasn't great. It was kind of pathetic on Sony's part. They basically said, "Hey, everyone! We're Sony and we're really excited about Shenmue 3, but we aren't going to make it ourselves. All of you fans have to pay for its development or else it won't happen!"

What?!?!?!?!?, EVERYONE WAS SHOUTING , IT was loud as fuck, they collected A LOT OF MONEY in the first HOURS, i mean seriously, that would have been at least an honorable mention.
To be fair, Shenmue hadn't seen the light of day for 14 years and Sony needed proof that people were still interested at all in a third game before investing in such a risky property. I doubt you even care about this but Shenmue games are expensive as fuck to produce (the first game spending about $70 million from development costs in 1999, which would equate to about $101 million by today's standards) and while both games were critically acclaimed upon release, they sold rather poorly. You'd be a little wary too if you were about to invest in something that doesn't exactly have a good track record.
Be nice if Kevin Butler got hired by Nintendo to do commercials. I miss him and his enjoyable commercials.

Bethesda E3 2015 will always be my favorite. My husband and I were so excited, we were wearing party hats and our favorite Fallout T-shirts. This actually makes me even more sad about this year's conference. :(
I had an older gentleman (probably 70-75) ask me what was so appealing about video games when I worked in electronics at Walmart and I asked what he liked when he was a kid and he said Wild West movies like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, so I said imagine getting to have that movie experience but control and be a part of the experience instead of just watching, and in some cases have a unique experience compared to others. Unfortunately I couldn't convince him to buy a PlayStation lol but it was certainly cool being able to explain why some of us are so passionate about it to the older generation who grew up listening to the radio and watching those old movies when they came out lol

You're seriously gonna tell me that, during a period where Mega Man's future seemed non-existent and his fans were desperate to ever see him again, Nintendo righting Capcom's wrongs and answering the prayers of millions with their out-of-left-field reveal of the most wanted Smash Bros. newcomer wasn't even in the top 10 for you? I don't even like Mega Man that much, but I still appreciate the significance of his moment in the spotlight during his darkest hour.
