Agreed! I just heard a "James Pavel Shawcross" rendition of this piece tonight, and as well as he plays Claire de Lune or Beethoven's 3rd movement of Moonlight Sonata, he can't hold a candle to Jarrod Radnich on this composition. The only thing else I would say about this rendition is that the Mason & Hamlin piano used here was not in the same league as the famous video of Jarrod playing this on a Yamaha grand piano. I have no "skin in the game" related to any piano manufacturer and I know; it could have been partially related to the microphones used for this recording but to my ear, this Mason & Hamlin sadly lacked in the bottom end.

This is how legends are made...
Jarrod Radnich. Constantly surprising! Pirates of the Caribbean are immortal! You are also an inspiration for my Little Son Bušek , who is only 21 months old and he also play Pirates on the piano!
Did he not practice every day in the time he had cancer? It certainly sounded like he did practice every day. I swear, Jarrod, you give me ambition and drive to practice harder; you are my inspiration! You sound amazing! Keep going!
I started crying, when he started playing pirates' old version. Nostalgyyyy.....
I am playing piano for 11 years now.. and i am nowhere near your level. Your jumps are just crazy
Well he's apparently been teaching the piano since he was 11. Yes, teaching.
I’m 25 years long piano lover and not even close to his level. He’s living and breathing music, literally
am I the only one who gets the chills here on 4:45 :O, damn that chords are right in the feels!
*Jarrod Radnich is back* ...... OMG, the whole video of piano arrangement is telling me his stories, start with the normal rhythm (normal life), then came with sad and pain, but he fought and won at the end.... *The come back rhythm at the end is definitely a sign of his return*
One of the greatest classical compositions of this XXI century! I’m sure many others agree...
The legend has returned from his Viking battle!
GRANDEEEEEE, speravo in un tuo repost! Ahahahah!
In Italy we all love you!
AWESOME
I've heard a lot of other versions and you're the only one that does the runs where they need to be
This talent can be given only by God. This was priceless, and a complete privilege to listen. Thank you sir.
Uh huh...I guess the tens of thousands of hours of really hard work he put into getting this good counts for nothing...just lucky...from god?
Such a dumb comment, the likes of which can only come from Satan.
This pisses me off for some reason
@@simonpoudyal2293 I get that, see my other reply, first one. Maybe it's that, or at least part of it, or close?
Let's take the credit away from where it is due, and hang it on some made up (most likely) see through grandpa in the sky. At least the rest of the original comment was certainly positive, so I'm not knocking the original commenter, it's just that they DON'T bother to think about how that kind of comment comes across to thinking people (wrt "religion").
@@MrJdsenior thats where you're mistaking this comment. While according to him talent is given by god, talent is nothing without practise. All the child prodigies arent just born knowing, they had to practise hard, although it was easier for them to get to a higher level than other children.
Dude was just saying that he received great talent, he never said said anything about his practise. Some people cam practise all day and never get it, thats where talent comes in. The definitions of the 2 words is also quite different
Had to watch again. Totally amazing
I've watched this a thousand times. He is truly a master
It’s been a year since you released that video ! I still impressed and it still astonishing like the first time I watched it. You’re a big inspiration to me.
It would be a blessing if you could make a video of how you overcomed this life threating obstacle and what motivated you to keep forward thank you
Whaaaaat most unexpected video today
I love you Radnich
It’s not only the piano playing that’s gorgeous.
For me, the definitive Pirates cover, I can hear it again and again and again over time (on my playlist) and I frequently get chill bumps, especially in that impressionistic section. Magnificent! It never gets old, for me.
I love the way your music sounds and the way your fingers touch the keys. You're an inspiration for all the pianists!
I'm waiting this for 3 years
I think that you (Jarrod Radnich) add a fire to the piano playing that most other people don't have... Thank You
Is it me, or can I not get over the fact of how shiny the piano is
