Sadly my classical pianist father (died 1976) never got to hear the great rock bands. He considered all modern music as trash. Much of it really was (still is) but the cream always rises to the top. This is an epic performance of a truly great composition.
I'm a black man that grew up listening to gangsta rap. Snoop Dogg (bitchs ain't shyt but hoes n tricks).. and listening to this song in my late 30s on a piano is just pure Bliss. This is real music and exceptional talent. That negative music makes the soul dark. This music puts the soul in a soothing vibration. God Bless 🙏🏾

Gamazda doesn't play music, she IS the music itself. I've never seen such virtuosity on the piano for music like this. She don't "cover" because these pieces are in a class of their own, their very own interpretation. Watch and listen - goosebumps PURE !!!

Not gonna lie, as a lifelong Metallica fan, when I saw this in my recommended, I clicked on it with low expectations. After watching it, I gotta say I was blown away. I'll be listening to this on repeat for a while. You definitely have a gift. Instant sub.
Just like you, i got this recommended and took a shot at it. But I disagree about the result. There's far too much theatralisation and "youtube show effect". If you just listen at it without image, it becomes far less impressive. Up to the solo (which on the other hand I really liked) there's not much sensitivity : it's pretty much all "power play".
Unfortunately there are thousands of really good piano players out there. She is good-looking and has a flair for performance so those are all positives.
Look how her videos are all professionally shot and edited. She is making it. Over night top 40 pop stars who have not the slightest thing in common with a musician have their 15 minutes and then they go away. She is talented, attractive, and a personality that agrees with the camera... she is on her way!
I follow and watch a bunch of really good pianists on UA-cam. They can all play difficult songs and not miss a note. But there's something about the passion you put in your covers that is unique and makes every one of your performances outshine everybody else.

Wow, I just discovered her. It's like listening to Metalica from 4 Centuries ago. This definitely tells me how Hard Rock and Metal relates to old classical composers and Opera. Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Liszt, etc. were Rock Stars in their Days.
I remember watching this for the first time. It was also my first Gamazda video. At the begining I said "OK, this is nice". Then, as the song progressed, I realized what a huge understatement that was. All skill and passion and beauty, everything mixed in one person. My point was I could sit and close my eyes and know exactly the song and every note from the solo to the rhythm. YES... no drums. Not needed. She kept the entire tempo and at no point did I ever go “what song is this?”
When you wanna be Metal, but your mom only lets you study Piano. :-) (But hey, once you know keyboards, you can hook up a YAMAMA to a Mac and make ANY music...)

My point was I could sit and close my eyes and know exactly the song and every note from the solo to the rhythm. YES... no drums. Not needed. She kept the entire tempo and at no point did I ever go “what song is this?”
