I left this channel for a few months, and never would I expect this much views/likes on any of my vids. Thank you. Year Of The Snitch all samples soon.
If we're gonna count song references as names, inanimate sensation itself has a lot. "For those who came to jock" is a an ac/dc reference "for those about to rock, we salute you". "Watch that man salute you" david bowie's "watch that man". "Endless nameless" nirvana song. "Lady Godivas we snoop to" velvet underground's "Lady Godiva's operation". "Like 83 mermaids in Brooklyn zoo" jimi hendrix "1983... (A Merman I Should Turn to Be)"
Personally, I don’t think references should count as samples unless it’s the same rhythm and melody. And even then it’s an interpolation, not exactly a sample.
@@sulyman5237runway h2 is sampled in why a bitch gotta lie. i couldn’t tell you all of them from the the top of my head, listen to both and you will notice.
Death Grips sampling their own music: also I think it's awesome how they were able to take Coil (one of the more terrifying bands imo) and turn it into something really cool
They didn't exactly sample Björk's music: Björk provided Death Grips with samples recorded specifically for this record which were then used and abused lol
I doubt she recorded vocals specifically for them to use on NOTM. What she probably did was send them isolated vocal stems from various projects of hers to make her voice easier to sample
@@YeDot that one part on say hey kid i think where he says „black stripped zebra walking through evil villages the humans became flesh…“ there it samples runaway

nobody ever takes the time to give death grips albums other than the first 2 their flowers. thank you
which is crazy cuz i think u could make the argument tptb and bp are their best works
@@jay6775 it is. they even said too
@@jay6775tptb and yots imo
Death grips has a perfect discography, there's only like 2 songs i dont like
YOTS ganggg
I’m pretty sure I had the exact alarm system they sampled in Up my Sleeves
I genuinely do LMFAOOO

niiice dude. the powers that b is in my opinion their best album, underrated af
i thought people loved tptb
@@rotunda_still underrated tho

cool video man, they also sampled a lot of fashion week for this album.

coil is really cool
Cool video dude
Wow thanks I've been looking for Bjork samples, keep it up
god i forgot how good Jenny Death is
dg sampling coil is so awesome
thank you so much for this
nice vid but you forgot the freesound casino sample in inanimate situation
Ohh damn.
They didn't exactly sample Björk's music: Björk provided Death Grips with samples recorded specifically for this record which were then used and abused lol
ur prob right but i think its 50/50 with both unreleased original vocal recordings and some vocal recordings later being from a vulnicura song
I doubt she recorded vocals specifically for them to use on NOTM. What she probably did was send them isolated vocal stems from various projects of hers to make her voice easier to sample
reference =/= sample
Atleast give them credit for doing the vid itself lol
i loved hearing the coil sample, coil and death grips are my faves, have that album on cd even
also they sampled the hadron collider in the song the powers that b. great video!
I'd love to see Andy Morin work with other rappers someday. He has so many DG albums, it's hard to ask for more.
W, do Year Of The Snitch Next
Ok.
God bless Björk and Death Grips
Good work 👍
also kinda doubtful about dark art being sampled. they might've just used the same patch
Why is this so wide

wow

Ouroboros
they sampled a song made in 2015 in 2014?
pretty sure bjork gave them some vocals
bjork worked with dem and dth grips asked for vocals ...
lionsong was apparently made in 2013 "6 months before", as read in the booklet or lyric pages for vulnicura cd/vinyl, so that is why.
These are stretching a LOT
Wym
@@Devonhndryx I think they mean stretching out the samples, which is a way of slowing down or speeding up
