You have helped me so much to prepare for my eng exam. U work so hard to make videos for us igcse student to score better at our eng exams. I really hope for the best of you. Thank you so much

ok there was so much you said that I would have never heard without coming here in our school our teacher just makes us remember large texts from which I learn nothing
I came here to prepare for exam, but to my surprise it don't just helped me with studies it further put a smile on my face and just made my day. Thank you sir this descriptive you have written is indeed a masterpiece.
Hi, amazing piece.. Can you please clarify the difference between narrative writing and descriptive writing? Can't a descriptive writing include narration of a typical day events? How would that make it different from Narrative writing? Thanks
hi, this piece was everything! was wondering if I could get the pdf link to work and annotate on it. you're an insane writer, you've captured these scenarios pretty aptly. would love to read more from you. :)
Paper 2. Narrative or descriptive writing . Very different. Descriptive writing. Adjectives and adverbs.. Photographic method .. zoom in. Take something ordinary and make it sensational .
I wrote a story similar to this, containing SOME development ie: Going from the outside to the inside etc, and described in great detail. It was quickly regarded a narrative and I received a lower band, ofc by my teacher. You think Cambridge examiners disagree?
Wow! thanks for telling me that last part. I must retain SOME movement ofc. If you are curious my story was about a new fighter jet. Describing the outside in great detail and then climbing in and the stairs squeaking under my weight etc. then a description of the inside and finally how it roared to life and the transition from green to blue. IE: ground to sky. @@IGCSESUCCESS
Thank you for this video. I am looking for an English language textbook specifically about learning different types of writing (informative, argumentative, discursive) with annotated examples from published articles. I would be really grateful if you could recommend me user-friendly guidebook/ textbook.
very helpful. i have a question: if the topic asks us to describe AN untidy room, is it allowed to describe MY untidy room? so what I mean to say is can I use personal pronouns but try to not make it sound like a narrative?
hi, I am not really good at descriptive writing so I have decided that I will definitely select the narrative question in my caie , I made up my mind a long time ago so have been doing no practice for descriptive. I am more comfortable this way ( with narrative) but wanted to share this to see what you think, is it okay ?
I wanted to ask, do you think i should be doing descriptive writing? I feel like my vocabulary is a bit too simple and a teacher who reviewed my paper said that my writing style is just simple. Strangely enough, i received 42 out of 50 in my mocks paper 2.
@@IGCSESUCCESS But what if my selected words/phrases aren’t in the marking scheme? What about me losing marks because of selecting an improper word/phrase?I mean ...wouldn’t I need a backup or something?Thank you.
@@aryansista3904 to be honest, all of the powerful words and images are usually listed in the mark schemes (there's usually more than a handful!) so I'd advise you to choose the most powerful ones. Descriptive is to describe a given situation with no characters or tension in story but only the scene to be described

You can, but there's really no need. You won't have the time...

that was a very nice descriptive piece but then we were told to write in present tense not past and thats how i lost a bunch of marks
