A day at Northlandz model train exhibition. Flemington, NJ. I wanted this to be just the one part, but I couldn't bare to leave the other video I took out! Enjoy.
ive been here as a child and want to go again its been probably 6 or 7 years maybe longer but i was always amazed by train layouts i was wondering if they were still open and running and how the admision price is because it used to be a bit pricey but well worth it if anyone has been here recently let me know
Most of your points are valid. I did see quite a few trains the day I went though. It does need someone to go through the whole thing with a tootbrush and they need to lower the price! Cheers.
It was the "World's Largest" when it opened. At 53k sq, feet, and 115 HO loops. If are looking for every sq. inch to be clean/dusted, it's not. But the Log scene, Snow scene, Hiking scene, Ghost Town, Geneville, and the Golden Spike/ Grand Finally, are very well done and are more like you would see at a club's monthly display. The rest is mega bulk, with a smudge of tongue in cheek humor and special effects. Well worth a 10-hr trip! Just make sure you get to the door two hours before close.
Absolutely filthy and run down. It looks like the kind of place you could get murdered in and your body would not get discovered for years. Hardly any trains running. Holes in the layouts and it goes on forever. No guided tours or explanations of layouts. It was once magnificent I'm sure. Only for a hard-core enthusiast or a small child. Also pricey and walking thru takes at least an hour with no exit...

my friend recently went there and he said this place is starting to get run down, such a shame!
It's true, they really need to go through all the sets.. which aren't too bad, and just clean / liven things up up a bit.
hear, hear!
Still the case.. 13.75 for an adult.
