I've been working there for about 3-4 months, and we've gotten comments saying it looks even better than opening day. While there have been significant changes by the new owners (such as destroying the first section of the layout and some other "brilliant" changes), the people who actually work there every day put so much into Bruce's product, and it shows. Almost every train is not only running, but carrying 5-6 cars and a caboose, and we're purchasing high-quality model trains that can handle a layout like this. While it might be pricy (another change made by our "wonderful" new owners), I would absolutley recommend coming out and seeing our hard work come to fruition. We're open 10AM-6PM, Thursday through Monday until Labor Day when we go down to Friday-Sunday, same hours. Address is 495 US Route 202 in Flemington, New Jersey, about an hour from New York City and an hour and a half from Philadelphia. We hope to see you there!
The place has been recently overhauled under new owners. Unfortunately Bruce, the original creator, was getting up there in age and as he generally did just about all the work himself he could no longer keep up with everything. Bruce has recently happily retired and the new owners who were originally looking to use the property for something else but actually visited and fell in love with the place have invested more than 250K into a refurb project. They now have a bunch of part time staff working to keep the place clean, operational, and to add on new things! Don’t let the old negative comments here deter you from a visit!
I'm sorry to hear that Michael has a disappointing visit to Northlandz. My last visit was in the 90's where every room had a different theme and plenty of trains.
I'm sorry, this place was horrible. Maybe years ago it was better but I was very disappointed. Wish I had my $ and 1 1/2 hours of my life back. There were maybe 6-7 trains running on this whole lay out. And the engines that were running were only pulling 1-2 cars. WTF! It looked like when the trains broke down or fell off the tracks they were just left there to rot. Don't waste your yime or money seeing this place in person.
Great video. My son loves going in there to ride the outdoor train, but gets scared in the hallways when we are inside to see the miniature trains.

I visited this place 100s of times. My last visit was 2015. I can still remember it
A dream. Absolutely wonderful.
Well done! I've been there in person and it's even more amazing when you experience it first hand!

Northlandz was recently sold and refurbished. The new owners spent a lot of money.
