Missed out on the rollover lotto yet again so my mega house with a mega sim rig in a room will have to wait for another week! 😂 Another great tutorial & content. I live near Heathrow I do miss the Concord strangely enough, but I do love to practice approaches & landings of all planes in/out of EGLL in MSFS - Some nice planes finally coming out (hoping for some more long range larger business jets to come as well, but then seems kinda weird with the new MSFS 2024 coming in Nov now. Maybe the Airbus A380 FBW this summer? Let's hope Heathrow runway doesn't melt this week! 🔥
Well the 25'th is perfect timing for me. I have the last exam of my exam week and then summer break. So i doenst really matter for my but i am definitely looking forward to it. I also love that your making these video's now so that i can make a flight as soon as i have it instead of watching video's when i could be flying it already so tank you!
Fantastic video. I’m used to the pmdg 737 so just assumed I’d acclimate to the 777 easily, how wrong was I! This series of videos is super helpful,Thankyou.
Great tutorials. Thanks so much ! I tried landing with A/T engaged, as you did in the video, but it didn’t turn off at touchdown, and thus I couldn’t activate my reversers. Does the throttle need to be in a certain position for the A/T to turn off, or did you manually disengage them when you touched down?
I just pulled my throttles back to idle and engaged reverse which, with weight on wheels after touchdown, meant the AT disconnects and gives me reverse
Can I ask you where you found the widget that allows you to display your landing rate on screen? Is it a GSX utility or another addon? Thanks and congratulations on your videos!
I have just watched the 3 videos of this flight. Now I know why the only thing I do with MSFS is load it and download the updates. I have a hard enough time with the tutorials, there is not a hope that I can remember to do every thing that is required to fly a commercial aircraft.
@@keneagle7684 we all start at zero Ken, just keep at it - at times the learning is steep but when you finally master one element, like a smooth takeoff it's highly rewarding 🙂
Take detailed notes. Type them up. That's what helps me. Do several flights and it will become muscle memory with some repetition. You can also do it in stages. Load up the plane and do 5 cold and dark start ups. Just start ups. No flight. The reps will helps.
i’m loving the 777 but i’m really struggling to hand fly a stable approach. if i want to descend at 700fpm, even small inputs seems to make it swing between -1400 and +300. i think it’s something to do with trimming the aircraft. do you have any tips?

@@NeverWasOriginal is your nav database for the 777 current? If that doesn’t help, are you inputting FREQ/CRS? As in 110.9/224 I’m not completely sure, but if you only input the frequency it might not recognize the format as it might be expecting the format above.
Just to help me work out deceleration on final approach. You'll hear "160 til 4dme" a lot on final on Vatsim so I know at that 8 mile ring, I'll reduce my speed from 180kts to 160kts then at the 4nm mile ring, I'll be slowing to to final approach speed to land
Great videos. I am looking forward to getting to grips with this. Why didn’t you go for 250 in the descent? I would have been inclined to go for this as you were approaching FL100. Is FL100/250 knots a restriction in the UK?
@@ta2xxa probably, i have a question if u know how to fix it on the second display if u put wrx or terr in the 737 u have the “circles” while on the 777 even if u put wrx or terr it doesn’t change
So I did my first flight using B773ER but there's some things that I had encounter here...when descending for landing the flaps dosen't seem to retract to slow down the plane's airspeed & 2nd after touchdown when taxiing to the gate at the airport the flaps did not raise back up to the wings? What could be the problem here?😅😅
Sounds like you haven't got any keybinds set correctly for the flaps. On the numbers on the flaps in the cockpit just click to set the one you want - click "20" and it'll set flap 20 for example
I really enjoy the tutorials because studying them helps me follow along better on the live flights.
Thanks - great to hear it 🙂
Excellent as always! Awesome airplane. Thanks !!!
Excellent job - you're a great teacher!

This video looks useful like the other tutorials when i get the pdmg 777 i will use this
More than Excellent ❤
Another excellent tutorial Luke👍
Seeing that the trailer said 25th and we have'nt heard otherwise, can i assume it will be realising tomorrow? And what time should i expected.
Well we had an update on their forum the other day saying it's all on track so we'll just have to wait and see

When will it be available on the marketplace ?
Probably in many many many weeks - you're much better buying direct from PMDG unless you're on xbox
Loved the scenery, can you tell what all airport scenery mods you are using ?

great tutorials you make it look so easy. can I ask how do you get the automated docking systems in MSFS 2020
10/10! Any news regarding when it will be available worldwide?
All well and good, allegedly 1600Z or just after on the 25th (tomorrow)

What do you use to show you the rpm landing rate?

it's the Landing Rate widget for Parallel 42's Flow Pro (which is payware: contrail.shop/products/parallel-42-flow-pro-msfs?bg_ref=jucOCYzrqb )

Small movements, try to think ahead and don't chase inputs
@@BritishAvgeek thanks for the advice, i will keep working on it!
Whenever descending the 777 doesn’t descend via the legs in the FMC even though there are different altitudes for the descent
so how do i change the ILS frequency if it doesn't match?
i've tried changing it but it only gives me "INVALID ENTRY"
In the NAV RAD page you need to type the frequency in as it is in the charts

It is yes - the aircraft will automatically seek to decelerate to below 250 at this point so it'll level off and slow down itself
How to input the ILS frequ. ?

if it's not in NAV RAD automatically then you need to type it in and tune it using the frequency in the charts

When I want to set the ILS frequency I get park
that's normal - it'll "unpark" and begin to try and track as you get closer
On your hardware list you have WinWing FCU...does that work with the 777 also?
It'll need a custom mobiflight profile which I don't have
At 25:22 the nose pitches down. It should not happen with the FBW. It’s a bug
Check the forums, they've found that pitch down issue and fixed it already
