I mean if this one D-Class got killed by being near a glass of water I can imagine a tiny droplet being enough. If a tiny droplet of water is enough, a drop of blood should suffice. Edit: Let me rephrase my question a bit. What we consider "water" (drinkable water) is H2O and trace elements. If the Monster were to appear in distilled water (pure water) I would make the conclusion that its appearance is linked to the presence of liquid H2O. In that case I would ask the question above again. Blood is ~90% water (Meaning pure H2O if I'm not mistaken) so its not so far fetched to say that blood may be a body of water. Article: SCP-1128 is an entity that manifests as a massive aquatic predator to anyone given a full description of the being's appearance through either spoken/written descriptions or visual depictions of the being. Dr Millar: shows a whole-ass 3-D model of it to his class

Thanks for coming to my class, don't forget to take your forget-juice. This has to just be the researcher having fun as it couldn't serve any other purpose.
That Dr in the first recording actually sounded like he cared for the safety of the D-Class. It's a little refreshing to hear actual empathy. And maybe it wasn't meant to be read that way, with that tone. But I like it. It shows that not everyone in The Foundation is heartless
It reminds me of the “Shy Guy” with extra steps and slightly less deadly. Also if one of these things lived in the Bermuda Triangle, I wouldn’t be surprised (although I’m unsure if the triangle is an SCP too). Thanks for the vid, Volgun. It’s fun to learn about individual SCPs with visuals and audio. Keep it up :)
I've always wondered about trying to kill it. I mean theoretically you could arm someone to the teeth (especially knowing what the foundation likely has access to) and see how it reacts to someone actually fighting back
Im just curious what they armed the D-Class with in the test. If they armed him with only a spear gun then yeah he's gonna die. But since the interview reported it eating a whale and it fitting in its mouth. That and since its in the pacific ocean the whale was likely a Sperm Whale, Humpback, or Blue Whale. In context as adults Sperm Whales and Humpbacks can range from 40 to 52 feet. Meanwhile a blue whale can get up to 79 feet in length... for this thing to simply have a whale in its mouth like easy prey means it has to be massive. So a simple spear gun won't do much to it. Then again the fact it materializes makes me question if it just doesn't reform when a subject is submerged again.
I always find it a little annoying when researchers or whatever are dealing with d-class somehow the researchers are always super aggressive and unprofessional, freaking out more than the d-class, you would think the foundation would perform mandatory training on how to talk to people in stressful situations to improve results. Plus having the recordings of researchers talking in a very calm and considered manner while the d-class are freaking out would be far more appropriate for an organisation known for its detached, scientific style.
Miller: "Don't forget your Class-C amnestics on the way out." Class: "Then why even have a lecture?!!" Why? The lecture was edited to have no description of the entity. Was it because of the graphic? If so, wouldn't the smart thing to do have been to use a model that IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM resembled the actual SCP-1128? Jimmy: "We did. The actual SCP-1128 looks like-" **POW!** "Ow! Who threw that?!"
I was watching this while in the middle of dropping deuce. Then the existential dread hit me with the fact that this thing can and WILL eat you, regardless of depth, size or location of a given water source if you have not been given Amnestics...
This is one case where I think the CG model, beautiful as it is, works against it. Not knowing what it looks like allows the imagination to conjure up all manner of shapes, especially those that could pull a D-Class out of a shark cage without bending the bars. Sometimes less is more.
Atleast this thing is, in a way, self-containing. Relocating and devouring anyone who knows what it looks like. Not perfect self-containment, but it's helpful.
Dear Dr Miller I write to you today to inform you that you sent this file to me in error, i have indulged in its contence but have no access to class C amnestics... Please advise
Dr. Marquis, Additional amnestics have been dispatched to the SCP site closest to your immediate location. Please remain calm until they arrive. If ingesting an oral form of amnestic, ensure that you take the pill “dry” and do not attempt to ingest it with any liquid. -Dr. [EXPUNGED]
The idea of the enhanced shark cage just getting swallowed whole, having the guy be melted away and drowning in stomach acid while still in the cage, only to come out the other end with little trace of its occupant is haunting.
Ohhh this brings me back. This was the very first SCP I've ever heard about and I discovered it on UA-cam when I was still in middle school before I ever even knew what the foundation was. I took it at face value and I was paranoid of every body of water I came across for a month afterwards.
It's like a shitty Syfy shark movie but it's actually an interesting concept and a unique idea unlike dino shark, sharktapus, purinaconda, sharknado, fuckin...sharkcano
i believe you mean piranhaconda unless they had a snake made out of dog food in one of the movies (which I wouldn't be too surprised about).. Also, if you want to see shitty try Zombie Tidal Wave. Same lead actor as sharknado. The zombies have bright blue paint with fake barnacles and in most instances you can see the paint on their clothes and in their hair. Pretty much all the ones you listed are by the Asylum film studio. Any time I see Asylum presents i immediately turn it off.
Wait... So the cage that was missing it's test subject but was still intact was covered in the monster's feces? So it just swallowed the cage whole cuz it couldn't break it and digested the dude? that's honestly pretty funny. I always loved this scp but never really thought about that part.
So, what's the point, in universe, of the briefing? You get all the info, then get amnestics and forget it all. good vid, but that last bit was some "and it was all a dream" kinda stuff.
Guess I'm never showering or bathing again since you just showed us all a visual depiction of the being. Show this to the hard to destroy reptile and may the best monster win.
When the SCP files are usually shown, the image isn't the actual SCP, except for a few cases, but is usually a changed version of it, or a design made up and given for an illustrator to draw. It wouldn't make sense in-universe otherwise. After all, their researchers would be put at risk if shown the actual SCP, and in this channel's lore, we're supposed to be new researchers.
@@SolBadguyGuiltyGearMan Your conclusion is inconsistent with the SCP which explicitly states infection by written descriptions or visual depictions, both of which (by their very nature) are not explicitly precise images of the subject in question. Furthermore, Dr. Millar closes with instructions not to forget our Class C amnestics on the way out. Your attention to detail is lacking, agent. @@scionofdorn9101 You would be correct, were it not for a few misconceptions. First, it was shown in the first test log that limited information was allowed to be given, and nondescript depictions are therefore hypothesized to be ineffective. As well, the class C amnestics is likely a matter of precaution, rather than a matter of mandatory actions required to prevent infection. Furthermore, your assumption of having any sort of command over me while at the same time having a lack of this information is rather characteristic of a corrupted, impersonated, or otherwise infected researcher. i love these chapters. but youtube has been ass with them. putting ads in between them

I loved this one. Imagine having Dr Millar sip his coffee after the talk...
I'm pretty sure he's an anomalous AI on a monitor that thinks he's a doctor. That's why he seems immune to cognitohazards.
the aquatic scps are always my favorite, they blend well with how little we know about our real world ocean and give me extra feelings of fascination
"Dr. Bright is no longer allowed to hum the theme to 'Jaws' near individuals infected by SCP-1128."
Keep it up :)
wait "descriptions or videos of its appearance must be deleted"
this video wont be up long 😳
Ayo where do I get Class C Amnestics 😥
Notification squad!!
Miller: "Don't forget your Class-C amnestics on the way out."
Class: "Then why even have a lecture?!!"
Why? The lecture was edited to have no description of the entity. Was it because of the graphic? If so, wouldn't the smart thing to do have been to use a model that IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM resembled the actual SCP-1128?
Jimmy: "We did. The actual SCP-1128 looks like-" **POW!** "Ow! Who threw that?!"
I was watching this while in the middle of dropping deuce.
Then the existential dread hit me with the fact that this thing can and WILL eat you, regardless of depth, size or location of a given water source if you have not been given Amnestics...
Would you say the bodies in the water were unrecognizable?
[COGNITOHAZARD REMOVED: DATA EXPUNGED] [AUTOMATED CHANGE: INVALID]
E (first to comment)
This is one case where I think the CG model, beautiful as it is, works against it. Not knowing what it looks like allows the imagination to conjure up all manner of shapes, especially those that could pull a D-Class out of a shark cage without bending the bars. Sometimes less is more.
Eggs
yes eggs are nice
And bacon
Eggs ter min ate - i like dr who and rase butt nuget launchers. Aka chickens
"dont forget your class C amnestics on the way out"
me who is watching his online lectures- oh ok
Atleast this thing is, in a way, self-containing. Relocating and devouring anyone who knows what it looks like. Not perfect self-containment, but it's helpful.
Dear Dr Miller
I write to you today to inform you that you sent this file to me in error, i have indulged in its contence but have no access to class C amnestics...
Please advise
Dr. Marquis,
Additional amnestics have been dispatched to the SCP site closest to your immediate location. Please remain calm until they arrive. If ingesting an oral form of amnestic, ensure that you take the pill “dry” and do not attempt to ingest it with any liquid.
-Dr. [EXPUNGED]
So...you have killed your entire fanbase with that thumbnail. Good work sir.
Real American Hebrew and your local fish man.
Thanks for your patreon contributions! And your names are awesome!
Excellent work on the radio chatter back and forth between D boy and Command. Like the new redaction sound too. Keep up the great work man!
"Violently pulled unto a glass of water."
What a way to go.
question is, how was he pulled in? Mouth first?
@@Necrowolf81 Probably Hand first?
Anyone else really wanna here TheVolgun read SCP-5000? I'd love to hear his rendition of it. Keep up the good work buddy :D
D-1645 was so cooperative I respect that D-boy.
Imagine peeing out in the woods, making a puddle, then getting dragged into that puddle and eaten by something on the other side.
@@Necrowolf81 no actually the reason actually is that movie movie was so bad that I forgot how to spell piranha
Someone got pulled into a glass of water? So THATS how they do that trick. 🤔 I’ve always wondered about that.
I really like that both the researcher and the Dclass were frantic, it really made it feel like neither of them had any clue what was going to happen
This is my favorite SCP. It's got the perfect mix of urban legend and scifi/horror. Excellent reading and that model is great!
Report to floor 13, room 31, and sit in the red chair for remedial training. Repeat, the red chair. Sitting in any other chair will result in your immediate reclassification as D class personnel.
I've already alerted site command. Remain stationary, transport to medical bay is en route. Any attempt of aggression or escape will be met with immediate termination.
If a pool of water sufficient enough to trigger this thing appears while you are showering you need a plumber.
ooh one of my favourites lesssgo
A great SCP to listen to before thinking about getting in a pool or taking a shower. Or when it is raining....man what would happens if this SCP and the one that is about an endless rainstorm?
I was just thinking the other day how I thought you’d done this ages ago but couldnt find it. Funny how timing works out sometimes
pretty sure the rubber did it and it looked like a giant shark on his.
@@Necrowolf81 maybe that’s where I’m getting it mixed up. I just could have sworn volgun did a video on it in the early days years ago
everytime i hear that researcher during that first experiment log i just hear "tartan cruiser reporting"
Yeah this entry reinforces my fear of the ocean thank you very much.
Edit: yeah all water isn’t safe from this SCP.
D-class mentions the thing ate a damn whale and they thought a regular ass shark cage would do shit against that?
Oh nice a new scp video.
Wait why is it the bar red?
What if you show it to someone, then put them on an IV drip to keep them hydrated?
Between you and SCP Exploring, I fell in love with the SCP community! The voice acting is amazing, even though the first interviewer/doctor in the log had me annoyed and stressed lol.
Hate when this happens to me
My man that model looks incredible, and so was that voice acting!!! You never disappoint big V, hope you're doing well :>
Cheers from Brazil, also hope whoever's reading this will have a nice day.
>Don't forget your amnestics
XD
1128 is pretty interesting but, 3000 will remain as my favorite SCP, aquatic wise at least. Great video btw
I wonder if you read or show a description of 1128 to 1155 would The Street Art Owl Predator get teleported to The Horrors Ocean if you throw Water all over it ??.
I've hear of 1155 before. I don't think it would work though because it's not organic.
Always loved this SCP, glad to see you cover it!
Ugh, SCP-1128 looks like a mix between a dolphin and a moray eel. It triggers my Thallassophobia.
head reminds me of some of those prehistoric creatures
Does the researcher in the experiment log sound like an alien from Coneheads to anyone else? Or is it just me?
You are a talented man, I'm glad that even though the exploration series does the same thing but get more views. It doesn't discourage you to make these videos, I can tell you are just here to contribute to a long loved series. And that's an admirable thing.
Wait, those videos get more views? I m not trying to bash the guy but the commentary on those tends to take me out if it.
@@mercury5003 I agree, I’m simply stating the facts though, “this is where I died” is a prime example.
Ah yes. A fun scp that plays on our ocean fears
Thats a neat new Redacted sound! Especially fitting with the aquatic theme here. Sounds very wet.
Good lord, an infohazard that's ALSO in the ocean?! Scariest one by far!
I love the idea that the foundation would hold a lecture on this SCP and then give you amnestics to make you immediately forget what you learned
Oh boy! My favorite scp!
"Don't forget your class C anesthetic on the way out"
Everyone looking at the 3D model:
"Ayo hold up"
Imagine going to a research meeting just to forget everything before even leaving the room.
Feels like I'm in highschool again.
Stumbled upon this while taking a bubble bath, definiely an experience reading about the effect of the monster while about 80% of my body was underwater...
The bigger question here is
Why dose my pee come out blue at the water park
The water park's water is magical, and turns it into blueberry juice.
Ah a classic scp, seen this one covered by many people but damn its always terrifying. Wonderful performance man and looking forward to the next one :d
Great, now we’ve been exposed..
I can't believe they used SCP *_URAHGEHERRRRR_* to treat the cage, that's really messed up. :((
The SCP: read descriptions or see it and you’re dead.
Millers computer: “YOU SPIN ME ROUND, BABY, RIGHT ROUND, LIKE A RECORD BABY RIGHT ROUND ROUND ROUND”
Oh I've been waiting for this for years..
Also classic Dr Miller literally showing us a detailed turnaround image of SCP 1128
I wonder what would happen if you described him to SCP-682, then put a pool in his containment area.
SCP 1128: So I don't know she's like "Move your skulls to the basement 'cause I have these drapes". I don't even get that I'm like "Honey this is work!"
SCP 252: Are you serious?
SCP 1128: Yeah... yeah I can't put them in the [REDACTED] basement...
SCP 252: Yeah no.
SCP 1128: And then she's like "Can you put a tarp over them also"
SCP 252: Oh no way!
SCP 1128: And I just felt like "No I'm... dammit not going to put a [REDACTED] tarp over them"
SCP 252: Yeah I have one at home just like it man. And I have a kid now... so Kathy puts the co-sleeper next to my preserved brain collection and she wants me to remove them because she thinks it's not hygienic.
SCP-1128: I don't understand the lack of appreciation for that backlit going through the glass of the jars that the brains are in. And it just looks cool.
SCP 252: You've seen it! Why move it somewhere but I've tried explaining that to Kathy but.... hey isn't that the guy....
D-1645: And what's with the toilet seat right?
SCP 1128: OH WHAT THE [REDACTED]
Geez, I guess that's one reason to have a fear of water.
Don't forget your amnestics (until you've taken them).
I presume the description given has to be accurate and we can't tell D-class it's a goldfish with stubby fins?
Expirement idea: Expose SCP-3000 to the idea of SCP-1128 and see if an underwater kaiju battle happens.
I hate how much these old skips relied on [REDACTED] and [DATA EXPUNGED]. If you can't write a scary thing, implying a scary thing isn't gonna magically save you
Casualty report. 5 D-class killed during testing, presumably eaten by a large sea monster. Can I have my amnestics please?
You know whats funny our bodys are 70% water yet SCP-1128 can only do that if they touch water out or their own bodies or something more complex then that lol.
