- "Flashy Lick Ideas".
In this pedal steel guitar lesson taken from The Paul Franklin Method, Paul shows you several ways to add some "flash" to your pedal steel playing and discusses his philosophy of how to create new licks.

I would guess I've heard a hundred songs with Paul on steel!
Absolute legend!!!
Awesome lesson. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge.
Thanks, Paul. I have always been a big fan and really love your approach to playing psg. I play a universal 12 -7/5 and enjoy applying your techniques and teachings to the 12string. I also enjoy playing the lap steel tuned to C6 because it's very forgiving.and there is a lot of music in 6 strings if you know where to look and when I go back to 12 strings it's amazing
You see I don't look at it like it's 2 tunings. It's a 12 string guitar with 7 pedals a 5 knee levers Once you understand the intervalics, or know the intervals as you suggest, it makes things a lot clearer. Thanks again for your teachings

Brilliant. Thanks Paul.
Thank You Paul for great ideas to add to our own Playing.
As always great stuff
Helpful and encouraging.
The first lick sounded like something from "dig a little deeper in the storehouse of his love" by the stamps quartet.

How many hours per day would you estimate it take to complete this course in less than 1 year?
You couldn’t learn and master everything in the course in a year or even 5 years. Many of the lessons introduce concepts for
students to explore and how long that takes is up to the individual.
Enroll a month or so at a time, learn what you need to know, practice and master it, take breaks and come back.
@@ModernMusicMasters I am sorry. I ment to ask for the Foundation Course. $99.00 per year. HOw many hours per day would you guess a average person would need to put in to complete it in one year. Thanks, Jerry Spangler
@@ROCKN50S Cool! The Foundations course is a year's worth of study. How long it takes each individual student is dependent on their ability to absorb and internalize the concepts. You might be able to get it all in several months with dedicated practice. 30 minutes a day of concentrated practice, detailed note-taking and away-from-the-guitar study would likely get you there sooner than a year. Check out this channel for a beginning student's day-by-day journal of going through the Foundations material. His study habits are exceptional. ua-cam.com/video/PhyBxpT9nPs/v-deo.html
