C6: Moving From 1 to 4 (Diminished to Min7)

- In this complete lesson from C6 Toolbox, Paul shows several ideas for playing from a 1 to a 4 chord (Diminished to Min7).
Moving from the 1 to the 4 chord is the same as moving from a 2 to a 5, and a 3 to a 6. This approach gets you thinking about chord progressions as moves from point A to point B. Think more about the distance between the chords, not their names and you can simplify navigating any song.

Paul is definitely the number two Buddy emmons. I've always said, in listening to the two of them play, Paul could actually outplay buddy. The two were like a relay team. Without buddy carrying the torch, and handing it off to Paul, Paul could never have run, and won the race. I'm so firm in what I believe that I would go toe to toe with anyone to debate the issue. 🤠. It's like the two pedal steels. Emmons steel is an awesome instrument, but, the Franklin is just a bit more of a guitar. If you don't believe me, put the two steels side by side and play them both. Then call me dishonest. I hope Paul isn't offended by these words. Love ya PAUL FRANKLIN.
