    I want Victory back

Victory motorcycles are state of the art and before their time. Victory took all the high maintenance issues of other makers and eliminated them with the engine design. Oil changes are easy, minimal seals, gear drive primary thats super low maint, cool running for days, and power that needs no upgrading.

@@TheFutureLooksGrimm I know you've already made your decision, but I love the bike. Victory was the only brand that I thought looked better than most HD. Sure, I like the Challenger more, but I'm on the fence about the new Chief. I love the direction Indian is going, but they really should have brought over some of these bikes to the Indian brand.
I will say this, some people thought the chiefs were too big for a mid weight cruiser. I think that the highball might be a bit big. I'm 5'8 and I don't have any issues.
Did you end up getting the bike? My only complaint is that getting performance parts are hard to come by because Victory isn't around anymore.

It's unfair that Victory is gone. The same engineers carried over to Indian, but I feel like the engine isn't as good despite being bigger now. The freedom engine was oil-cooled so I feel like it's better in the heat than the Indian ac engine.
I also thought the bike looked better. They had a blacked out engine which no one was doing until just now. If Victory was still here, I'd be a customer for life. Not that I hate HD or Indian, I just felt that the engineers had more freedom to innovate at Victory than any other American motorcycle company. At the very least, they should have brought over the bikes to the Indian brand. Victory has the highest customer satisfaction rating, so it wasn't like they weren't building a good bike.

If you already got a Harley, then get a Victory, IMHO Victory has better enginering behind its engine design, as as you mentioned its a great custom bike when its stock! HD i think has focused on supplying aftermarket custom stuff to help drain your bank account. Victory wants to steal HDs market, hend custom looking stock bikes and a few grand less than HD and just as American made. With the right pipes will also deliver that rumble. Im looking at getting a Vegas 8ball personally :)

Rode a Vegas 8 Ball with the shotgun pipes and the High Ball with a 2-1. High Ball seemed to be smoother with more bottom end power.

Mine is fine for 500kms or so in a day but I put a rider backrest on for long distance. Stock seat gets a bit sore on my tailbone after an hour or so without it.

I'm an engineer and I can tell you that the reason I bought a Victory was for the nuts and bolts. If you're an accessories guy, then get the Harley.....they hands down have the best accessories. If you are more concerned about the engine, drivetrain and transmission then get the Victory.

@socalpimp1974 And that pretty much dominates the american v twin cruiser class in power. Not too mention good suspension movement and 6 speed transmission with overdrive.

I have owned Harley's for over ten years. I would love for Harley to come out with a bobber/cruiser like this!! Harley offers NOTHING close to this in terms of a stock bike. If you buy the Sportster 48 you will spend three grand trying to modify it to compete with this bike. Same goes for the Street Bob, it would take thousands to make it look like this bike. I want to buy another Harley, I really do but they offer NOTHING like this in terms of a stock bike!

Opinions are like a**holes.... Try riding a Victory before talking, if you are into RIDING your motorcycle you will blown away ... you will be shocked to see all the trade in Hardly Ableson's collecting dust at the Victory dealer.
