I hate those kick stand kill switches. The kickstand spring gets stretched out after time, and it allowed the kickstand to lose contact with the switch. My buddy had to keep blindly kicking back with his heel to keep it running until we fixed it. Suzuki situations. 😂😂
First mistake, take the stuff off your key. That stuff flaps around all over, including in your ignition. Get rid of it your problem goes away. 2nd, if you can't get your kickstand. Just park the bike. On the transmission clung. After riding 42 years of multiple bikes. Find me one trans that doesn't. I agree on #4, but they were made to self maintain so maintain it. I agree on the gauge. Buy a Hood for it. Helps. Night is adapting because the blue is better on the eyes. I've got 2 Victory's X Country n 2016 Vegas.
Agree about the chrome on the gauge, but I like the blue backlight on mine. Totally agree about the fill cap. Might be better if it flipped forward. It would be easier to see when you’re splashing fuel that way
Hehe I ride my Street Glide Special on average 108 miles total every day for work, I will say this winter kicked my butt lol. I live in PHOENIX, then ride to the shop in Chandler, then ride to site out in Goodyear... Oh yea I leave for work at 2am lol.
Biggest issue for me is fact it doesn't have a fuel guage. The new hummer is not a hummer just another eletric truck with a few extra features will never beat the h1
well i dislike the gage as well, but i don't understand how, that could ever be a reason to change the bike. the worst thing, i would dislike is the missing killswitch for the kickstand. but thx anyway for the honest review.
Instead of "blind your ass blue" i wish mine was red (to preserve night vision) and definitely agree with you on the chrome gauge & mounting bracket! I'm going to powdercoat mine flat black)
It's called "gear driven primary drive". You forgot to mention the compensator; this also adds to the clunk effect. The basic symptom id called "backlash".
Would you say that the gear-on-gear transmission like the Highball has is harder for beginners? Which transmission configuration do you think is best suited for someone who is just starting to ride?
I would say the difference is pretty negligible for beginners, the only spot it might throw someone off is during a turn but still not enough to be dangerous. No matter what transmission setup the bike has I’d say beginners have a pretty equal chance of having or not having problems!
I have jackpot and xc, jackpot has no guage xc does once I got used 2 it (sound /feel) I haven't used it. I agree w8th the chrome bit. it's a cost thing harley doesn't make matte latches even on matte bike u get gloss latches. they use parts of 80% bikes on 20% models as new parts for rare bikes raises cost
Bro, having to find s place to sit the cap is as much of a pain. My softail doesnt have a switch on the stand. my biggest bitch , is paid 20,000 for a bike and still need to dump 5,000 more to get the power a victory has. Its a shame they no longer make the victory because they're better bikes..
what/?? No, when in the run position, the key cannot be removed and that is a good thing, because if you could, you could be riding the bike down the road and the key could fall out. Hence why the key can only be removed in the off position.
side stand kill switch it a legal thing. u must have stand kill switch or (what victory did) and (somthing in their case rubber pad) that male it where it will easily go up on its own. I've pulled of with mine down many times and it just goes up. only time it even could be and issue is while going backwards
Gear to Gear is far more superior to chain in every way. HD is absolute garbage and I own a couple and have had them most of my life. Victory bikes far outshine any HD in current production. Polaris messed up and should have kept both lines. Indian for retro and Victory for modern
Hmmm just take key out once cap is open, trans is great, kickstand eliminates future switch problems, not made anymore so far not a problem, gauge whatever, electric vehicles should be market driven not government driven.
Rrrriiiiight... And you probably never stall your bikes either by accident... That is the keyword, accident. Shit happens, especially if one gets distracted or everything does not go by the routine for a reason or another.
Got a Vegas (2017) and a Judge. Ride every day and have been for 10 years. Only thing I've ever needed was a kickstand spring and a tire.

My octane was the same way with the gas cap. I found a screw on Arlen ness cap and it’s perfect
The rubber puck on the kickstand prevents any danger...look up a Victory video and see a demonstration.

Good stuff....Motorcycle weather is here in AZ. a bit cold in the A.M. but always beautiful!!!

Hey I'm in mesa with the same exact bike as you was curious who did you have tune yours?
Mvagusta in chandler tuned mine for like $500

Kick stand safety switch yeah lol I was shocked when I rode mine home, put up the kick stand and the bike didn't turn off 🤣
Plasti dip the chrome on the gage. I used to plasti dip my old bike lol

I only agree with #4.
I'm 5'6 and I wanted to get a victory Hammer would I be too short for it
No I rode a victory hammer a while back and it wasn’t too much for me and I am 5’6 as well with 28 inch inseam

You have to leave your key in the ignition? You can't turn it onto the run position, then remove the key? Seems like a good way to lose your key...

you can't remove the key from the gas cap when it is up like that?
You can remove it, but you can’t close the cap unless you put the key in the cap and twist
@@billsfabworks3188 so than remove the keys from gas cap when filling up. No need for gloves than, to protect the paint.
How's the shifting?
Shifting is a little clunky but once you find the sweet spots it’s very easy

My 2012 has kill switch on kick stand
Here is why it does not have a kickstand kill switch. ua-cam.com/video/ySO2xAAXnrU/v-deo.html
Wow! I never thought about it that way! I appreciate that you sent that to me man thank you
@@billsfabworks3188 I own a Victory Cross Country, had it since 2016, and will ride it till the wheels fall off. ENJOY that bike.
I've seen that same demo at Sturgis, the kickstand flicks up no problems, even on my old V92CC.
Mach E and f150 lightning look pretty good
My v rod doesn't have kill switch on the kill stand.

There is a digital tach in the menu.
Thank you, i thought the gear clunk in a turn was my bike lol ihate that, its not smooth at all
Kind of sounds like you'd rather be riding an M109.
Just imagine if you made a left turn with the kickstand down. You could wreck easily.
The stand flips up very easily. No chance of an upset.
You can look 50 times in a row, 51 may get you.
at 6;53 was that Donald Trump ?
Kickstand kill switch quit whining pay attention your on motorcycle. If you can put the kick stand up you have no business being on a bike

Just sell it and quit bitching..
