ARS has some of the nastiest, dirtiest, grungiest guitar playing...in a totally great way, that i can recall coming out of the 70's!
I'm actually surprised it took this long for you guys to react to them. They were a strong staple in the 70's and could always find their music on radios and juke boxes.

Being from Atlanta, Atlanta rhythm section was huge in these parts! Next song you need to react to is “So Into You”. Everybody would sing this when it came on the radio. And the decade of the 70s had some of the greatest music with all genres making the charts.

When I was a kid growing up in Tennessee in the late 70s, ARS were huge second only to Skynyrd. ARS had a groove that, well all Southern rock (isn't all rock Southern in origin?) has a groove but Atlanta Rhythm Section had a groove that was sultrier and sleeker than their contemporaries. I am so glad ya'll liked it and would encourage ya'll to check out "So Into You" or "Champagne Jam".

This song brings back great memories of my 1st concert. It was Summer Jam 78 at the Providence Civic Center in Providence RI. The lineup was Foghat, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Sweet and ARS. You wouldn't think they would fit into that lineup but they absolutely di d. Just an amazing first concert and I would be remissed not to mention it was on my 16 birthday!

Your reaction to Sanford Townsend band appeared in my feed, and I immediately came to your channel to see if you had reactions to ARS. And here we are! Omigoodness, I loved the late, great Ronnie Hammond's voice. "So Into You". Just...omigoodness. If you're in the mood for some great southern funk, check out the band DAG from Raleigh, North Carolina. Unfortunately, they're no longer together. The song to start with is "Our Love Would Be Much Better (If I Gave a Damn About You)". Best song Prince never recorded.
