Turns out there's a third remix of the #1 theme (don't want to spoil) that I missed, which appears in B2W2. My abbreviated opinion is that it's not as good as the original or the spinoff remix, but better than the other remix I mentioned.
B2W2 are my favorite pokemon games.
BW2 were my first and are still my favourite games. Also great video!

@@yujin-1907 I like the diamond/pearl/platinum version more. Probably because I heard it like 1000 times already, not because I beat her that often but because I always failed to defeat her. Platinum was my first pokemon game (if you don't count pokemon ranger in) and I had literally no idea what i was doing.

My favorite theme is the Battle Tower in Sword and Shield. I love how energetic and fast paced it is and the fact that Toby Fox composed it makes it even better.

With Ultra Necrozma's theme, I like how as the battle goes on, the theme gets more and more frantic and chaotic, showing that although it looks elegant and godly, Necrozma's mental state is terrible and it has quite literally gone insane

I also realized the kahuna battle at the beginning has the same leitmotiff as the tapu's rooms, making their connection all the more better
I really like how SwSh's gym theme actually changes when you have the lead, when a Pokemon faints, and when the gym leader reaches their final Pokemon.
The music changes when one of your poke faints? Huh... I've never had a Pokémon feint during a gym battle in Galar. I was always overleveled by 20+ levels. Before the ryhans gym I had several level 100s lmfao

@@decimation9780 he's saying he didn't want to be overleveled to trash the gyms like I did. I had no fun and didn't even realize there was a special tune that played when one of the player poke faints. I was ridiculously overleveled the entire game. First time I lost a Pokémon to a trainer battle was against the dojo final battle, and that was because I was messing around with cubfu and didn't swap out.

I mean, a Quick Ball turn 1 against a catch rate 45 Pokemon in Gen VI is a 225 catch rate, which is almost a 255 catch rate, meaning there's about a 1/4 chance of nabbing either Xerneas or Yveltal right away.

Giratina has an amazing day theme.
There’s a lot of amazing songs throughout the gens, but one I seem to always find myself crawling back to just for a good vibe is Driftveil city. By no means as amazing or iconic as many of the greats (like the main title theme), but definitely my favorite just to listen to.
I'm a huge fan of the Regi-trio's (RSE) theme. It just sounds so ominous and honestly kinda scary.

are we not gonna mention the horror known as B/W's red health theme? They took an irritating beep of "hey you're about to die!" and turned it into a catchy and blood pumping song that goes on, and it just adds to the heat of the moment while you try to handle such a dangerous situation. Sure to bring terror to anyone playing a nuzlocke.
It always interrupts the amazing tracks though
When I played white for the first time and the music switched to that on low health I was so suprised. It was awesome, wish they kept it in future generations

danboom101 Salazzle gets one shot by a photon geyser at plus one, so unless you had a focus sash/band or it took the hit due to Pokémon refresh, you cheated somehow (yeah I calced it idk why lmao)
danboom101 Oh I used the smogon damage calculator, and it was a guaranteed ohko (103.9% chance for a min roll I believe). Was also semi kidding cause ppl always say how easy the fight is and will sometimes lie, though if your calculations are correct, then good on ya!
danboom101 oh did you take into account that Ultra Necrozma has plus one special attack? Cause when calculating without that, your value is correct, but the raised special attack puts it into Ohko range
I like the kalos music alot. The trumpets really do it for me.
i love the sword and shield gym theme ESPECIALLY when they start cheering. imagine putting yourself in the actual game. their final pokemon one step closer to victory. they say something about their last pokemon standing and send them out and the crowd starts chanting as they know whats about to happen. then next thing you know two GIANT pokemon are having the battle of their life. its truly amazing to listen to
Very surprised the Lance/Red theme from HGSS wasn’t included, has to be one of the best themes imo.

its very good but i think its kinda overrated bc of how iconic the red fight is, i wouldnt really say among the absolute best, id put it just below the middle of champion themes, and obvi theres some gym leader/legendary/special battle/rival themes that are probably better as well.
its hard tho, since even the “weak” music in this franchise blows most ost out of the water
HG/SS ruined the track....the Original is much more savage. HG/SS made it a mellow boring track and the original just screams: “You’re going to lose.” No official remix hits that track right.
The theme is good and intense,But just as you vibe through it,It just loops!

Shoutout to the Grandmaster theme from Pokémon TCG for the Gameboy. Really pulled off a fast-paced hip-hop track with the gravity of a final boss theme.

I think my favorite is the original R/B/Y Gym music. That's nostalgia talking as well, but the way the chaotic intro drops down into the rhythmic "chugging" and then going nuts again when the Pokémon are on the field... Man that still gives me goosebumps!

Gen 5 really was the generation Gamefreak loved and the design, story and [most important factor in this vid] music is unbelievable.
I think that upon a close examination of gen 5 you can really feel that it was a passion project of sorts from gamefreak and that’s why it’s so unfortunate that when the game came out people dunked on it so hard for silly reasons

@@light_player07 Right. And I'll tell you why: Because Lance SUCKS compared to Red. I seriously had no Problem at all destroying his Dragonites.
But when you finally defeated every gym Battle, every Champion and every Trainer of two Regions in HG/SS and you get access to Mt.Silver you don't even expect Red to be there. You just get warned by Oak from wild Pokemon.
And then Red is completely overleveld and kicks your ass while this intense music plays. It's a completely different feeling to hear this theme while you're battling the best Trainer of the world or a Champion who has a Team that unfinished he even got two of the same species... 😅

The Lake Trio theme is weirdly fantastic, Groudon and Kyogre theme when they primal evolve in ORAS and the Piano before Cynthia which isn’t really a battle theme but sounds incredible

My favourite music has to be Zinnia’s battle theme from ORAS. Not only is there a sick beat and riff, but also Zinnia’s Sorrow is a sadder version of her battle music, which I think is really clever

I figured from the moment you said there was only going to be one other champion battle it would be Cynthia’s. Which made me sad because it meant no Champion Blue battle, which rocks. But I was wrong!
I LOVE how it sounds like an alarm going off at the beginning. And the buildup is great, I love how insane Blue sounds going off about how it means he’s “the most powerful champion in the world!”
I so happy that Gladion’s battle music is in this, its my favourite of all pokemon tracks 😁

IMO, The Theme that Plays when you fight colress on the Plasma Ship was the best. t had all of those alternating and climbing notes and counting down in the background so It makes you feel as if there's something gonna happen. Then when the lowest and slowest part dramatically goes into a loud drumbeat gets the heart going.

Definitely agree with number one. My personal list would have included the gen 3 rival battle, team plasma’s battle theme in BW, the remixed gym battle theme in let’s go pikachu/eevee, and the sinnoh remake gym battle theme. I also love team aqua,magma’s battle theme and hoenn elite four…sheesh Hoenn music really went crazy

Lettuc e Honestly really surprised me that Cynthia’s theme or Dialga/Palkia theme weren’t on the list. However what Gen 4 really did excel at were Route and Town themes, so I’m expecting to see some Gen 4 love in his next Top 10 Music themes

The Galar gym battle theme hits different for sure. Also i think that the best champion theme is Cynthia's. It makes a very intense atmosphere that is like "This is the hardest trainer you might ever face."
All I gotta say is the moment when the fans begin chanting in Galar gets me hyped EVERY FOOKIN TIME, MATE! I LOVE IT!!

As a firm hater of gen 4, I agree Cynthia's battle theme is one of the best of all time. Giratina's is pretty great too.

The generation 2 Champion theme was a Great way to get you into Having to battle a Character that you Played as 2-3 Years ago.
Love your list! My personal fav is Sword/Shield's Gym theme. I loved the fact that gym battles were more than just 'chores' to progress in those games. The gym leaders had character, and I enjoyed facing them and getting to know them. And as someone who is Scottish, I loved that the music incorporated chanting, like what we do at football games. Felt nice.
Despite that Scotland didn't have any representation in Galar!! And before y'all say that Scotland = Northern DLC, Scotland isn't all snow and ice! We're all beautiful mountains and scenery, and cities where folk don't take themselves seriously - imagine Circhester but with everyone saying 'awright mate', then giving you weird advice. We would take you under our wings, but shoot you down if you got wide (cocky) with us. We're a very laid back culture, not impressed with any influencers/famous folk.
