- What a pleasure…what a joy! I tried not to geek out over something so simple because the truth is, this is a pretty basic pencil…BUT it simply spoke to me. It reminded me that sometimes the little unheard-of pencils can be the loudest.

I have heard from several people that these are good, so I purchased a set for my daughter for Christmas because she is getting into coloring. She loves them. I am considering purchasing a set for myself, but I have so many pencils 😂. I love colored pencils so much. These do look like fun.
Oh trust me... I get it!
I stopped telling myself "I have enough color pencils!" Because the truth is, just like you...I love them!
And why shouldn't we surround ourselves with what we love???
There are WAY worse things we could spend our hard-earned money on right?

I agree with most of your points. They just have a wonderful feel, going onto the paper. I think my only point would be that the trays could be just a little more substantial.
You are not wrong Linda! I guess it was just one of those things, for the price point, I usually expect a thinner try... but again, you are definitely not wrong!
After all... who doesn't love a good thick sturdy tray?! 🥰
I’ve too many pencils but so tempted to get a set of Woomer now and they are apparently lightfast too. And guess what, Drawing The Timeline just arrived at my door today too! Yay ❤🎉excellent timing for the weekend to colour away.
Your pencil reviews are detailed concise and well done, love watching them. If you can ever get your hands on Colleen double ended pencils (60 set are my favourite for travel) or the 120 full set, I’d love to hear your thoughts on them. They common in Asia and very affordable, vibrant and does well for me on Amazon paper. Then for other brands perhaps Stabilo Arty for students and Steadtler Luna Watercolour pencils (the one with a striped pencil body).

I’m with you on the packaging, it is rather stunning. The pencils look good too. Sometimes we just resonate with a set of pencils for whatever reason. For me it my Koh-I-Noor hardmudt polycolour pencils. I have many far more expensive sets but they simply don’t knock the polycolours off the top spot.

And YES...Artisto is AMAZING. I did a video on them not so long ago. I tell you what...if you see that 120 set before I do, you BETTER let me know!
Hi! I found other art products on Amazon (Canada). They have a 36 travel watercolour set (very similar packaging and colours as Sakura Koi), a set of 36 acrylic brush paint pens (no shaking) in a very practical case (my opinion) and a set of 3-in-1 retractable gel pens… 6 pens = 18 colours. I think it’s practical when travelling! Unfortunately, the pencils are not available yet, but I’m pretty sure they will be in a near future. Your review piqued my interest in exploring their other products. They are in my Christmas list already! 😋 or I might not wait and buy them soon!! ☺️

I loved these pencils so much, I bought a second backup set. I was really surprised that more YT weren't talking about them when they came out earlier in the year. Maybe they didn't get them into many UA-camrs' hands earlier. But I saw an early video and she literally did a side-by-side of them with the Holbeins and I have to admit, that's a good comparison. They have the same sort of fatiness and tackiness that's notable in the Holbein colored pencils. Obviously, Holbein is a professional level pencil but the Woomers are really fun to use. Wish the set was bigger. I not only bought a second set but I got some of its other art products (gel pens and acrylic paint pens). Interesting about the cat. Woomer is also the name of a Chinese company that does electric blankets and I thought maybe they just branched out into art products. (and yes, all of Caran d'Ache products have the swatch inside the sleeve. but I loved that, too. The fact that Woomer took the time to do that and did lightfast testing as well.) Glad you loved these and did such a wonderful video on them.

I'm glad that others pointed out to me that the swatch sheet is in the sleeve. It really helped me show others about it.
Unfortunately, the sets I got from Caran d'Ache had no sleeve...so I would have never known!
I wish I had more followers so I could tell more people about them....but I am working on it 😉

@@sugahsweetart You know, I think your channel was suggested to me by UA-cam a few months ago and I've been enjoying your videos. Very much to the point. You don't have a lot of filler (for ex. you don't tell me something I can see clearly with my own eyes in the video. That drives me crazy). Your color work is enviable and sharp.
@@vishneva2000 This one made me chuckle...first because it was a very sweet and encouraging comment....second because I do feel myself pointing out the obvious from time to time...for example, telling you the barrel matched the lead and how the pencils are labeled. But I guess its just those things that make a pencil....well, a pencil! haha
But I do believe my videos should get to the point...there are SO many reviewers that record the entire swatch session... that's great and all but just not for me.
I want you to be able to get in and get out!

@@sugahsweetart Haha. 1-I love watching swatching! And enjoy seeing your swatch sheets. Long ones are cool but so are short ones. As long as we see the color array. And you do always talk some on that, which I think is important. 2-I think pointing out if the barrel matches the lead, that's helpful because that's something you can't easily see on a video. I'm thinking of more obvious things. I don't know. Maybe I'm just being a jerk! 😁

@ 😂 I wouldn’t go that far Bahahaha jkjk. You definitely think it’s worth the flip? I still have my prismas but don’t always want to use them up. And I’m not a pencil collector as most of our wonderful community is. Like the arrtx greens and blues have a hold on me so pretty 🤩

And you're right, it is nice to jump from one set to another from time to time. It really lets you feel the difference of what a brand has to offer.
And yes, these pencils feel different from either of the sets you have. Think about it for a while and if you decide to get them, you will have to let me know what you think 😇

Oh.... that's a tough question...I think that would come down to the users personal preferences.
Excuse me for a moment while I exaggerate...If you are someone leaning towards Polychromos, Id go Artisto. If it's Prismacolor you're after, Id go Woomer.
Of course these or neither of those brand quality...but you get what I'm saying.
But the bottom line is that you would not be disappointed with either choice.
Can you do a video on how you do the color swatches or you may already have one?
I have a UA-cam short on the process...though I'm not sure that's what you are asking about.
I can say that "simple" little swatch sheet is about the hardest part to this whole process. It takes me FOREVER!
But...BUT...I do have plans of getting my Family Swatch sheets into yalls hands in the VERY near future!

Haven't found them on Amazon EU yet. But I'm not a huge fan of Arrtx or Arteza due to the ones I bought when they came out. Are they better than Arrtx?
I DEFINITELY don't want to steer you wrong...especially if you didn't enjoy those.
If I had to choose which I liked better, I would go with Woomer. However, I like having 120 colors over 72...so there is that.
They miiiiight not be for you if you didn't care for the performance of those.
You can save your money for a rainy day on this one Ivy 🥰
