“Money really helps…” truer words have never been spoken
Literally all my problems are financial 😂
its also a breath of fresh air when a rich person admits it lol
Looking at this, it really feels like you must have tons of money to be healthy. I am not in that situation, but I have discovered that staying outside in nature as much as possible, sleeping a lot, looking at the sun in the sun, managing my workloads, running/exercising daily and in silence and eating clean food are all things I can do for free. And I don't need 120000 dollars fancy equipment
@@giovannitertulli4962 Since when eating clean food is free? Not everybody own their own garden to harvest their veggies and fruits lmao.
If you want to eat clean food pesticides free, without any added chemicals, etc. it's really expensive. Even just finding water without fluoride can be expensive.
Now u can cope and keep eating kfc😂
The way you addressed the topic of mental health and how this *no excuses* mentality can affect people that might be struggling with depression really moved me, you put into words what I‘ve been feeling for years there Bryan. Thank you so much.
Right. You can't just "walk it off" always. You just can't. Saw that foolish guy from the fresh n fit podcast on that video "fit vs fat" talk. And he said depression most of the time is "made up" lmao. Like, ok dude lol. That tells me he's never experienced true depression or lived with someone with clinical depression. They aren't just like, I wanna be sad, I like it. Lol.. and it's not as simple as get some sun and take a wake. That helps greatly but it's not a cure all.
Yes, this was great.
Yup. Absolutely!! Bravo!
@@d_no_allyn_86Fake & Fraud just spews misinformation on everything. He just copied something Andrew Tate said. Real cookiecutter.
I used to believe the same thing when I was around 15 that mental illness is just something one could think yourself out of.
1 year later I had constant panic attacks and nearly went psychotic.
Then depression set in mostly in the form of anadhonia. Then I 3 years later I started getting manic episodes followed by the most horrible depressions.
What Many don’t get is that depression can be very much physical as well and sometimes even without negative thoughts. You just get fatigued to the point it’s hard to get out of bed and feel a horrible pressure inside your body. Exercise is great but once you are in such extreme agony I find it counterproductive. It might lift the mood for a very short time then you crash even harder.
Exercise as an overall preventative is very good medicine though and will improve quality of life, not cure though.
I hate being looked at Funny for sleeping so much. I just wish people could understand this horrible disease.
@@d_no_allyn_86totally agree with this. Still what are the alternatives? Those “walk it off” do not help in any way in the moment. But as you say walking as example do help. It don’t solve it though. But it help. So in some way now long time after when my health and depression is better I must say that the advices that in the end actually got me in the right directions was not the “yes I understand” or “mmm I am here for you” it was actually those “get your shit together” that helped me the most. Not that I felt that in that moment or that they made me do what they said to me in that moment. But for sure in the end if they had not given me those “simple” “uncompassionate” “annoying” tips I would most likely be worse off today
Your skin is looking way better. The results are becoming noticeable!
Exactly what I was thinking.
noticed this too!
Camera filters can do wonders. Look at his recent interview with Tucker.
Thanks for being real and not being afraid to be confrontational with what you don't agree with, you've earned the respect of so many people throughout the years.
Dàna cà try blueprint and add it to his routine (if he can afford it )
"You are not the misery you feel." Love this quote!
love it
Watch Jim Kwik.
He is an expert to teach people lot of things. One of them being: You are not your feelings.
Ex: Stop saying "I am sad" and start saying "I feel sadness". You are NOT your feelings.
reminds me of sam harris
Sadness and fear combined is miserable and we are not our feelings .these are old and although we feel stuff it doesn't define us
That was really beautiful ❤❤❤ thank you for your vulnerability Bryan
I love the compassion around minutes 12-13. It's like a warm hug from Brian.
So much respect to him for this. Compassion seems hard to come by these days. Especially in the "Goggins Grind" world. Thanks for calling this out Bryan.
Loved that too!

I know right? Like this is reality, it's why I think many influencers even goggins, don't understand everyones life... the COMPASSION IS REAL...
@@bublikstudioproductions9686 in fairness Goggins is a motivator for a specific audience. Not everyone reacts positively or negatively to the same things. I appreciate his authenticity and emphasis on cultivating the mental toughness no matter where you are or how you feel

it’s pretty cool that brian takes the time and critiques such videos. due to his research and regimen he’s very knowledgeable without bs so it’s awesome to listen to . thanks brian!
I have enjoyed all of your video, this one might be my favorite though. The kindness in your message and the compassion for our shared humanity sets a great example. Thank you.
I love the honesty and frankness of Bryan Johnson.
"money really helps"
Yep, nice review!
Bryan: please talk about how the animals also have a right to live. How can you do blueprint without using any animal body parts?
Totally agree! Bryan is giving lots of honest feedback here.
I appreciate what you said at 13:00. Not enough people acknowledge how paralyzing depression can be and how hard you have to fight to gain back control of your mind and life. Depression is not an excuse, it's a reason. There is a way out, but the path is not linear, so it's important to give yourself grace during the hard times.
man.. i felt that.
Yeah that was great
Hey chatgpt, shorten that quote so it fits on a wall!
Robin Williams talked about the weight of depression and I can't remember the exact examples he gave, but it was something like ... When you're severely depressed you could be told that you just won a Nobel prize, your wife just won the lottery, and your son stubbed his toe and your answer would be, my son stubbed his toe!!. No amount of positive can counter the heaviness that some people are dealing with but maybe with some gentle encouragement, understanding, and being there for them they can be gotten through to a better place in whatever time it takes them to get there. I also love that he stated a couple of times that it's hard to be human. How simple and profound a statement that is. Cheers.
Thank you Bryan, excellent video. Keep 'em coming! I really enjoy listening to you.
Such a good video! Amazing content to bring into the world, actually articulated feedback and common sense
Brian is unfailingly positive and kind. His motivation is calm and reasonable… plus doing so much for science. His “measure it” is so true… plus sleep being incredibly impactful…along with diet and exercise. All the things we KNOW but keep searching for a magic “thing”.
Thank you, Brian!
I have to admit, the first time I watched Bryan I thought he was a "harmless fool" and a weirdo. But his though process is brillant and lovable. Definitely my favorite internet personality for 2024.

Bryan truly knows what he's talking about from a health and mental health perspective. Really awesome stuff
"Maybe the evidence is emergent" is quite possibly the slickest and most diplomatic critique ever. Well done Bryan!
Problem is that Gary Brekka works with evidence. He can tell to the month based on markers, when a person will die. His track record is exemplary. Why it's Dana going to fill a video like that with scientific data. If you want that, then go directly to Gary Brekka. I like Bryan, but he is critiquing without doing the research himself.
Red light therapy efficacy evidence is actually emergent so there's that.
Love the compassion and kindness❤
@@trevormarcray he says that but i feel like thats cap. without dna analysis you cannot tell such things.
There's nothing slick about it. When it comes to human wellbeing there can be emergent effects. Bryan said they looked at methods individually, and found nothing on e.g. cold plunges.
That sounds 100% factual to me.
“Money really helps” amen! Time, paying for access to these trainers, facilities, therapy. One red light session can be 4 hours of work for someone to pay for alone. Money truly helps.
Exactly

You can do 95% that matters for free. Just don't be lazy
@@radekhruby142yes! Issue is when you are in this situations and depression your capability to not be lazy is often bad. So having support that allowes you to start “lazy” greatly help.
If it was as easy to not be lazy then there would not be any “lazy” people right?
@@litjellyfish Majority of lazy people dont have depression. I cant speak on that. But for the healthy people, move your ass.

I love that Bryan is real about money making a difference.
Great video!
12:53 Thank you for acknowledging that life can be hard. That is a level of compassion we dont get from many influencers.

When somebody is mentally stable and balanced he can see both sides of the coin and feel compassion. Pushing through idea is just to create sense of shame in you, so you look up to them and look down at yourself....

The guy is a legitimate and on his own pathway.
Honesty and integrity is what he portrays.

Just
They hate him for hawking $40 bags of cocoa powder
@@Nebrunner89 Some people hated him long before he started selling his blueprint products. I also think they are too expensive (of course I don't know how big his profit margins actually are). They are meant to be premium products with the highest possible quality, at least that's how they are advertised, though.
Because he trash talks like a dumb teenager while having heavily edited and annoyingly scripted videos. He comes across as Randall in that cartoon show.
he is a scammer
Simply put, he left his gf after she found out she had cancer. Did he leave because of this? No idea. But it isn't a very positive reaction to such a diagnosis.
All that said, his blueprint study is very enlightening, and he 'seems' more grounded than other billionaires.

You transformed my life from miserable work junkie to a much healthier version of myself. I'm still a work junkie but now my brain knows there's a body too! I'm now taking sleep seriously - keeping a close eye on my 100% whoop sleep score through the week. The super veggie is much more enjoyable than I imagined. I strive to implement as many of your findings into my daily routines. It's really hard and i'm still struggling - especially for others to understand why I go to bed that early to enjoy the morning hours. And the rolling eyes when saying no to alcohol and leaving from the party early to get consistent sleep. They should seriously know how it's possible to feel like. I for sure didn't. I truly feel like you gave me a new much better life. I'm not anywhere near implementing all of your routines but i'm trying to be better. Thank you Bryan!
I think you're probably much more efficient at work, which is an irony grind culture misses. Congrats, man.
@@DavidPereiraLima123 Thanks! I am not only much more efficient at work I also enjoy it much more. Consistent good sleep and workouts every day really did a huge difference for me. Energy levels, happiness, work efficiency and daily structure are completely different from when I started. I'm going to have a hard time not eating my favourite dishes, but I have decided to try at least a month on the protocol :). I tried out the super veggie a few times and I like it. Did you also try out some of the protocol? or maybe you have always been healthy?
@@stolif No, not the protocol, I just went nuclear on fighting diabetes, won against it and much of the same principles Bryan does apply to it. Simply cutting off high glycemic food and focusing on healthy alternatives only made wonders for me. I eat almost every day unfrosted and warm miscellaneous berries and olive oil on top as part of the low glycemic diet. It isn't some fad like paleo, keto, vegan, etc, similar to mediterranean, actually, minus processed white carbs. Olive oil is THE anti-aging food, the resveratrol from berries get better absorbed in fat, I've got this recommendation from Dr. Sinclair on my journey to end diabetes type II, another anti-aging scientist. I've rejuvenated like 10 years (at least how I perceive myself) , and I'm in my 30's. It was very spartan and hard, but today candy and similar terrible food sickens me. Bryan doubles down on the olive oil too. I'm glad I've found Bryan, he talks about the importance of a healthy culture as alternative to the mainstream, I was beginning to feel as an alien, even tremendously healthier than years ago, he gave me lasting determination to my newfound discipline. The doctors I check my health periodically said I aced my blood tests, this was so fulfilling after all the effort. All I miss is an exercise routine, really, but I'm going to get there!
I love this guy! I like him more and more especially the fact that he called Dana iut saying "money really helps" and that circumstances sometimes really do shutter you

I'm skinny and lifting weights, I've gained 15lb in 1 year. But I have zero support system and I'm doing it all on my own. It kinda sucks.
