If you really want something you have to love every part of it. That is true for anything in life. Staying healty involves being hungry for periods. Personally im very different from Brian, i do long fasts for 3 days sometimes. And i eat a lot of red meat, because that is the only way i have found keep my Auto immune disease in control, most vegetables will cause my joints to ache, my ass to bleed, headache, flem and cough etc. Many of the vegetables in blueprint are ok, but some like the lentils, tomatoes and others causes me to feel very unwell. Sleep seems to be one of the best reulators of all.
Ask a body builder or a serious athlete how they feel about getting tired or sore. "I love it" would mostly be an answer. Once you get used to it, it's exciting to purposefully stress the body to get good outcomes out of it. I love fasting. i love consuming bitter foods. I love cold showers.

My Father bought me a gym pass and started reading outloud in home a book called "Fit for Life." He was always in the kitchen chopping veggies, and sharing with our family the benefits of the food he was preparing. ❤ I today am a Nurse, and I have seen people heal themselves by changing the way they eat and include exercise. I've done a lot of biohacking over the years and research and here's one thing you may not know. It's really important to keep your arginine levels below your lysine levels if you are truly committed to biohacking. And if you were eating a lot of nuts every day, especially this diet that Johnson has then your Arginine levels are going to be higher than your lysine levels. The reason why this is a problem is because most viruses and bacteria need arginine to proliferate. If your lysine levels are higher than your arginine levels they cant replicate. Eating nuts and chocolate everyday opens you up to a host of viral and bacterial pathogens, that wouldn't otherwise be able to infect you, except for the high levels of arginine. There are a ton of studies on this and additionally, they did further studies when Covid came out. I think it's great to eat a lot of supplements and eat healthy to prolong longevity, but pathogens play a huge role in our health and curbing their ability to affect us is also very important. Another key key issue is maintaining the levels of potassium higher than the levels of sodium, since sodium causes a disease a state in the cells, if the levels become higher than potassium. This is the main reason why most people are sick in the modern world because their levels of cellular sodium exceed the levels of potassium.

Being “relatable” is not a positive to me, I want to learn from people who are currently better than me. I would prefer that they were better than me In every way and have left any relatable to my live situation a long thing ago otherwise why would I bother taking advice from them? People should aspire to people who are better than them instead of pressuring any famous person to come back down to your level.

I recently discovered Bryan online and I love him. Not only does he seem like a genuinely nice person but he’s also way more chill than some other biohackers I’ve known online and in my personal life. I find that most biohackers follow lots of pseudoscience but as someone with an academic background in nutrition and biochemistry I can tell that Bryan cares about the true science. I really appreciate his transparency about the fact that some interventions like intermittent fasting are not really supported by much scientific evidence at the moment. It doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a beneficial effect but it just hasn’t been proven through extensive scientific research. While I recognize that quite a few of his interventions are not supported by much scientific evidence, he nonetheless incorporates the things that are scientifically backed and he doesn’t deny that science. It’s just really refreshing because I’ve had this negative perception of biohackers for years because of how little of them understand actual science.
Bryan, it looks like your diet is quite low on protein. Based on my estimates (I might be wrong), your protein intake might fall below the recommended daily amount of 0.8 grams per kilogram or 0.36 grams per pound. And is notably far from Peter Attia's recommended target of 2 grams per kilogram. So, could you please share your daily protein target and your approach to daily protein consumption?

@@selyemperzsa1 what I do know based on observations with a cgm and having diabetes over 40 years (I’m 44) is this: high intensity training is huge. It reduces my own insulin needs by 30 percent and the effect lasts 2+ days. Diet is obviously also a huge factor. Keto is about 25 percent less insulin but if you eat a ton of protein those needs go up (gluconeogenesis) i don’t do keto because it’s hard to remain In ketosis for me I think Bryan’s diet would be really good for diabetes besides maybe the pomegranate juice.
@@nbtc539 Thanks for your comment. I am also an insulineresistance patient. 100% agree, exercise is an absolute must, HIIT is good( thanks for the info on their impact lasting for 2 days, I did not know), but you need to be careful about overdoing it so you dont upset your nervous system. Stress also creates insuline spikes. (He mentioned in the previous video optimising exercise for HRV, and HIIT is also limited for him for 3 days a week and very limited time). For exmaple people with anxiety are recommended to do yoga instead of running to keep the nervous system balanced. I am also doing yoga and walking. I would be very careful with keto, because a lot of people with insuline problems are prone to high cholesterol (both processes are running through the liver) and I was also warned to try to reduce fats although still allowed to eat oily seed within a given limit. In my diet 90g of protein intake was also emphasized, not sure if that happens here havent checked the numbers. My primary problem with this diet that because there is no explanation on why and how these components are working in it, there is nothing you can do with it, also many things are compensated with pills. It is what it is for everybody vegan and non-vegan. I know the rules, and I can adjust it based on what I have at home, what I fancy, what I have the time for, etc and it still does 100% blood glucose level control for me without any medication.
@@nbtc539 Tthe last thing that I would add, that mentally, unless this is literally your life, like for him, living on such a restricted diet might not work long term. Our will-power gets tired and you give up, this is what many people do, and this is supposed to be a lifestyle change for a life, like for you and me, that is why lack of explanation on the structure and flexibility might become a problem.

I never get tired of watching people go through Brian’s daily routine with him. He loves sharing his life experience. His skin is as smooth as milky glass. His posture is so perfect, and he looks like solid marble. I love how he seems to enjoy his lifestyle. Yes he’s obviously privileged but he earned it.
I am so happy for you providing this information for free. My husband shared 1 video of yours and I can honestly say I’ve been looking for someone with this cutting edge health information for the last 10 years. I am six months postpartum, and I am in desperate need of some positive healthy changes to off set The horror moans. Lol I mean my hormones! They are out of wack, the sleepless nights caused by the baby is absolute torture and also wrecking havoc on my body & mind. Looking for affordable things to off set this current stage and I think your diet is the number 1 thing. Thank you 🙏! I salute 🫡 you sir!
Bryan was so relaxed and personable in this episode. It would be neat to see more of his friends taking these things on.
Your work has been literally changing my view of my body. I am set to start (some!) of your regime next week. Gonna quit my stressful job and find a more peaceful restful life. Thank you. So grateful xxx

He dumped his ex girlfriend because she had breast cancer. He said she was a burden 😱
@@universe25.x well thats her fault, cancer does not appear just like that out of nowhere, it always caused by the way you live unless you are a child, then you can blame your parents for that... but as an adult your toxic lifestyle leads to cancer forming inside your body. you should do some research about it, healthy people do not get cancer because their bodies are efficient in removing waste and toxic cells

I'm really pleased to see you're posting on UA-cam now. You are amazing and you're sharing all your knowledge - thank you.
How do you deal with hunger? “I LOVE IT”
He lost me there, been thinking about this for 15 minutes and I’m still confused
Yo Wil
When im hungey i get smarter..why is that😮😅
Ask a body builder or a serious athlete how they feel about getting tired or sore. "I love it" would mostly be an answer. Once you get used to it, it's exciting to purposefully stress the body to get good outcomes out of it. I love fasting. i love consuming bitter foods. I love cold showers.
ketones, you start burning them after 15-16 hours instead of glucose for energy and some people after a day... and your energy balances since your body isnt busy and heavy digesting things, thats why lot of productive people skip breakfast, its a natural thing to do@@tempgangster4952

Thats the part of blueprint that is the most confusing. Especially since most of us can't afford all of it, so we need to pick the basics

The reason why this is a problem is because most viruses and bacteria need arginine to
proliferate.
Interesting! So what do you do - take Lysine and Potassium?

And the editing was absolutely on point.
This is the funniest Bryan Johnson video so far. Man that was so much fun to watch!
I stumbled into eating to optimize health while treating myself for really bad celiac. I just want to say thanks for doing what you do unapologetically, because my constant dependence on specific foods and supplements puts people off, or makes people question my sanity.
I love the friendly energy between you two on this video! LOL very fun!
Yeah, it's a great question!
His data is on Project Blueprint. He is getting enough protein
It would be crazy, if in the future your team could make multiple versions of the diet, for people who have secondary focuses like building muscle or others.

What is your research team's opinion about oxalates in food? Because beluga lentils + sweet potatoes+ broccoli + cauliflower all of those foods have and if you combine them together you exceed the "normal" daily range according to RDA.

Also if you have a look at there are severeal elements that meant to serve blood sugar control: cinnamon, vinegar.
@@selyemperzsa1 what I do know based on observations with a cgm and having diabetes over 40 years (I’m 44) is this: high intensity training is huge. It reduces my own insulin needs by 30 percent and the effect lasts 2+ days. Diet is obviously also a huge factor. Keto is about 25 percent less insulin but if you eat a ton of protein those needs go up (gluconeogenesis) i don’t do keto because it’s hard to remain In ketosis for me
I think Bryan’s diet would be really good for diabetes besides maybe the pomegranate juice.
