Materiał prezentuje wizyty dwóch wysokiej rangi dygnitarzy III Rzeszy w Polsce w latach 1934-1938. Minister propagandy Joseph Goebbels oraz minister lotnictwa i premier Prus Hermann Göring kilkukrotnie odwiedzali II RP.
Joseph Goebbels w czerwcu 1934 roku w obecności 600 osób (m.in. premiera Leona Kozłowskiego, ministrów, generalicji i dyplomatów) wygłosił w Polsce wykład „Niemcy orędownikiem pokoju w Europie". Przez dwie godziny Goebbels chwalił gospodarkę III Rzeszy, pierwszy KL w Dachau i zachęcał polski rząd, by wzorem niemieckiego ujarzmił strajki w kraju i zakneblował opozycję.
Józef Piłsudski przyjął Goebbelsa na godzinnym spotkaniu
i mimo choroby dowcipkował i sypał anegdotami. „Jowialny i szarmancki. Wielki człowiek. Fanatyczny Polak! Na jego życzenie zostaliśmy sfotografowani", zapisał Goebbels w swoim dzienniku.
Polscy urzędnicy - m.in. marszałek Józef Piłsudski, prezydent Ignacy Mościcki, kolejni premierzy i ministrowie spotykali się z nimi, poklepywali po plecach, ucztowali i polowali na zwierzęta. Dzisiaj nikt ich nie nazywa zdrajcami z tego powodu, że spotykali się z nazistami. Warto dziś o tym pamiętać, gdy np. oskarża się polityka o to, z kim rozmawiał na sopockim molo…

Das Material stellt die Besuche zweier hochrangiger Würdenträger des Dritten Reiches in Polen in den Jahren 1934-1938 dar. Propagandaminister Joseph Goebbels und Luftfahrtminister und preußischer Ministerpräsident Hermann Göring besuchten die Zweite Polnische Republik mehrmals.
Im Juni 1934 hielt Joseph Goebbels in Anwesenheit von 600 Personen (darunter Ministerpräsident Leon Kozłowski, Minister, Generäle und Diplomaten) in Polen einen Vortrag „Deutschland ist der Verfechter des Friedens in Europa“. Zwei Stunden lang lobte Goebbels die Wirtschaft des Dritten Reiches, der ersten KL in Dachau und ermutigte die polnische Regierung, wie die deutsche, die Streiks im Land zu zügeln und die Opposition mundtot zu machen.
Józef Piłsudski empfing Goebbels zu einem einstündigen Treffen,
trotz seiner Krankheit scherzte und erzählte er Anekdoten. „Jovial und galant. Großartiger Mann. Fanatischer Pole! „Auf seinen Wunsch
hin wurden wir fotografiert“, schrieb Goebbels in sein Tagebuch.
Polnische Beamte - darunter: Marschall Józef Piłsudski, Präsident Ignacy Mościcki, spätere Ministerpräsidenten und Minister trafen sich mit ihnen, klopften ihnen auf die Schulter, feierten und jagten Tiere. Heute nennt sie niemand mehr Verräter, weil sie sich mit Nazis getroffen haben. Es lohnt sich, sich heute daran zu erinnern, wenn einem Politiker vorgeworfen wird, mit wem er auf dem Sopot-Pier gesprochen hat...

The material presents the visits of two high-ranking dignitaries of the Third Reich to Poland in 1934-1938. Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels and Minister of Aviation and Prime Minister of Prussia Hermann Göring visited the Second Polish Republic several times.
In June 1934, in the presence of 600 people (including Prime Minister Leon Kozłowski, ministers, generals and diplomats), Joseph Goebbels gave a lecture in Poland "Germany is the champion of peace in Europe". For two hours, Goebbels praised the economy of the Third Reich, the first KL in Dachau and encouraged the Polish government to, like the German one, tame strikes in the country and gag the opposition.
Józef Piłsudski received Goebbels at an hour-long meeting and despite his illness, he joked and told anecdotes. “Jovial and gallant. Great man. Fanatical Pole! At his request, we were photographed," Goebbels wrote in his diary.
Polish officials - including: Marshal Józef Piłsudski, President Ignacy Mościcki, subsequent prime ministers and ministers met with them, patted them on the back, feasted and hunted animals. Today, no one calls them traitors because they met with Nazis. It is worth remembering this today when a politician is accused of who he talked to on the Sopot pier...

I trochę smutne, gdyż nasza polityka równowagi wobec III Rzeszy i ZSRR okazała się całkowitym fiaskiem. Te dwa państwa z którymi wykluczaliśmy wiązanie się sojuszem (z Berlinem przeciw Moskwie czy z Moskwą przeciw Berlinowi) dogadały się i nas zaatakowały. A nasi sojusznicy Francja i Anglia wspomogły nas tylko dyplomatycznie... Również pozdrawiam!
