  • In this video I go over my PSA PA-15 rifle in depth, covering my build philosophy and how well I think it fills the SPR role. I’d like to clarify - in the beginning when I speak about the purpose of this rifle, I’m meaning the purpose of a SPR build, and this review serves to verify the PA-15 against the requirements of a rifle in that application. Thanks for watching!

Ultradyne BUIS are underrated. Too many people going for cheap plastic sights and did I forget to say the front sights is both windage and elevation adjustable? Put that thing in front of any mdern tall riser and you can just use the aperture of the mount for accurate 100yd shooting.

I have three PSA ar15 and for the money they are hard to beat. I like the paint job on your rifle. What colors did you use.

Rock on. Thanks man. I used Rustoleum flat brown and Krylon Camouflage OD green. I'd recommend the Krylon camo paints, they're extra flat and less reflective

Look into some prism optics or even 1-6 or 1-8 that have a etched reticle that way even if the red dot goes out or runs out of battery you still have the reticle in black etched in the glass ! Having minimum 6x i personally think is a bad idea considering most engagements are 300m and under I feel you would benefit greatly from like a 1-10 . 10x is plenty for pid and you can do easy close and medium range work where the Ar15 thrives not so much long long range which is what that optic is made for . But at the end of the days it’s yours and luckily have to right to build it however you want and making great use of a great tool!

      Hey Matt,
Fair points. I do have the Ultradyne offset irons pivot to for closer engagements. Major factor here is I'm pretty strict on USA made components and I'm broke as shit. A USA made 1-6 or 1-8 is hard to get for under $800. This scope was $400 lightly used ($500 new) from Eurooptic. At the end of the day you're right, and if I could I'd be running a Geissele or BCM with a better barrel and a 1-10x... this is just what I was able to throw together for under $2k. It's a lot of fun to shoot at the moment, esp being able to see my hits on paper at 200 yds, but may switch it out in the future. Thanks for your input man and I hope you have a Merry Christmas!

Rifle looks great. Those groups would get the job done. Try some 75gr-77gr otm if can . PSA manufacturers their own 77gr otm under the AAC name. Subbed!

Thanks hoss. After breaking in the rifle to around 1000 rounds and keeping the barrel fouled up I'm seeing around 1.5"-2" groups with AAC 55 gr, I tried their 75 gr match ammo and was pretty impressed too, around 1.25-1.5". Happy!

you can probably reach out to 500 yards with that scope, if things get bad here like the Ukraine I would only shoot when I have too. I have a tool kit, spare parts and extra ammo/mags in my lbv.
