- The Gladdy Board is a cheap Gladiator mod to make your Jeep life easier. This is a must have Jeep Gladiator mod especially if you have a tonneau bed cover. I love that Jeep gave us the ability to do this mod if we want to! What do you think of the Gladdy Board?

What a great idea. I got mine a little bit bigger in a 2x6 but works just the same. Thanks for sharing the mod. Love it.
Except for weight, a 2x6 is even better! I almost went that way too🤔
Good small simple mod, good to see your mom helping and your brother walking in the background. Enjoying your videos.
Keith Linzemann Yup..just something simple but useful. Mom was a great assistant 👍
Really enjoyed the video. Great idea! I just bought a 2021 Gladiator Mojave, and I love it. Keep the Jeep videos coming. Thanks
Thanks and congrats 👍
Thanks for the recommendation, Rob!!
Just a simple thing to keep stuff from rolling all over the place 👍
This is a great idea - as a NEW Gladiator (or any type of truck) owner, I was curious about what I could do to stabilize smaller stuff... this works perfect! I used a 2x6 and it’s exactly what I was looking for!
Great channel, BTW!
That’s awesome Jeff! Sometimes it’s the simple things 👍. Thanks for watching !
How lucky are you to have your mom around and also her be interested in modifying Trucks and cars. It’s so cool, make me wish mine were alive today They could be doing the same with me when I purchased this 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD sport. Anyhow it’s a helpful mod for anyone Rob and for the video and Koodo to your mom for helping.
Paul Lund Yup, I’m so very thankful to have her! She’s da bomb!👍
did the same thing for my old Chevy 2500HD. had a long bed, 8 feet. I had a much taller piece so the top of the board was almost level with the top of the wheel well. It helped support really large loads.. I hauled an old VW Beetle body in the bed of that truck, it had no fenders.
Monty Piper That’s awesome! 👍
Maybe a 2 x 6 or 2 x 8 to keep taller things from falling over it.
Randy Carter I thought about that...but I actually wanted something fairly light weight👍
Amazing 😂 Rob. Had fun watching you and your mom. Thanks for the vdo.
Thanks👍
I cut a piece of white vinyl fence material. Light weight, no paint, varnish, splinters, etc. Can get wet, no big deal.
Good idea👍
Just an idea, clear coat it and add a Gladiator decal to each side for a bit more personalized touch
Great idea, Rob! Simple and quick. Hi Ma! Hope you can make more appearances in the videos.
Lol! She’s been in a few👍
Brilliant💪 hello mom, good to see you, you make your son look so much better😀
I did the same. I used a 2X6 stained and clear coated.
Asaf Farfar Nice👍
Try stapling or glueing some of the foam sealer that is frequently used to seal tonneau covers... that will tighten it-so no rattles and it won’t scratch... ohh-I just saw the felt.. that works
Markum50 Yup...the felt tightened it up...maybe too much😬
I think you can also add a board across the top of the wheel wells.
Absolutely👍
I like the idea of putting felt on the ends. My bedliner will probably tear felt all to hell though, so I'll have to figure something else out... lol
I changed to plastic caps. I much prefer them to the felt👍
@@robmotiveplus end cap sample? What does it look like now…?
See the comment above👍
2x6 or 2x8 to match height of wheel wells but looks great also you got both mom and dad on this video
Michael Neuhaus Thought about larger but I wanted something light. Just mom in the video.
Michael, two 2x4s stacked or a 2x8 ripped to 7" will match height of wheel well with a 2x4 across the wells.
I never in a million years thought I would do this but even with Line-X spray everything I put in the back of the truck ends up all the way at the front end of the bed, and with the Tonneau cover I gotta crawl in and get it. I often haul 5 gallon water bottles and they always end up towards the back.
Lol! Isn't it nice!😂
Wow Rob, what kind of toys does your Mom have in her garage? Saw a quick glimpse of some nice vehicles.
Steve Van Voorhis Lol! They aren’t hers🤔
Quick question, how did you get the felt cloth to stick on 2x4 ?
Spray on adhesive or staples.
What did you use for the bed liner ? Love the channel
Here ya go:ua-cam.com/video/ytT4gXIkInE/v-deo.html
I want a video about all of your mom’s vehicles in the background. Btw, the Tonneau covers fold up for bed access.
Where did you get the gladiator decal. Love you channel.
Just some random sticker business on the net👍
Man... So I guess your Tundra is gone?!? Oh well. Nice job on this mod!
Bob Jones he said in a prior video it’s at his "moms”
Have you considered doing a Raptor bed-liner application? Would look good you can get it in colors. Get at least 2 vids, one on prep and one on application.
I've seen the colored type in the past. They do look pretty good. However, with the cover and mat, I don't think it would be of any benefit to me.

I carry a lot of things in the back of the Tacoma the poly bed doesn’t really get scratches that can lead to rust, and for a cleaner look. The metal bed you’ll benefit from a covering for me. You mentioned that if you want to use the truck to haul you use your Tacoma, so less of an issue for you. On the other hand you have a couple of videos for around $200 in materials. You can sit things on the tailgate and not worry about scratching it.
True. But with the Tacoma it’s not really a concern for me 👍
Nice mod
David Jones Thanks David👍
man id hate to have a bed that small
You could of just went to homedepot, pepboys pretty much any auto store and just spent $15-25 on a cargo bar. Can olace it anywhere in the bed.. high or low
Where’s the fun in that?
@@robmotiveplus its adjustable so you can put any where you like in the bed and is universal for every truck and suv's. it can keep large cargo in place cause with what you have anything taller will just tip over that. why does there have to be fun in it? its a product made to make life easier
Where can you get those gladiator letters ?
Got
Mine from Vinyl Status.
Good idea. I think my truck has the same grooves
Big Moe I bet it does. I think most trucks do👍
I was thinking I’d dip mine in plastic dip???
ok, do a short video on that tacoma being elevated..
Huh?
@@robmotiveplus You have a truck up in the air... what kind of system, etc? to get it up there
Here ya go: ua-cam.com/video/hjBFZ0RW0JM/v-deo.html
@@robmotiveplus - cool system,,,, thanks !!!
It works very well for my needs👍
Where’s the Tundra?
I figured I missed this info on the live stream but maybe not. Maybe this channel should be called RobMystery. It must be at the dealer for yet another Toyota Recall!
She looks too young to be your Mom and love the necklace with the Jeep key fob on it.
Lol! She says thanks👍
Definitely a 2x8 would be best
vmac805 Zero Agreed. But I wanted light weight👍
Good point I’ll try 2x6
I seen a white Jeep Rubicon Gladiator today at a gas station. I've had those tri-fold tonneau covers before not a big fan of them.
Jake Schisler I’ve had good luck with them. I’ll probably rarely put it up🤔
Rob, don't know if you know about this, but I just saw this on UA-cam today. You didn't mention this, but your mod touched on it a little. Jeep has a clever deal where you add (3) 2x4's and setting the tail gate to the mid position to create a level platform which allows you to carry 4x8' ply wood boards in the bed. Pretty clever.
Check this video out... skip to around 1:15 to see the important part
ua-cam.com/video/SAy_KLUqzcc/v-deo.html
Kevin Lew I had seen that. Pretty handy idea👍
Hi Mom!
M Jones she says Howdy Eh!
Hi Mom❤️
Luv2smoke She says “How ya do’in?”
Rob what kind of paint did you use on board and how did you do the letters on board?
The paint specifics are in the video and the letters are adhesive backed vinyl stuck on the board👍
Adding rigidity piece by piece
Lol!!
Holly cow u have a truck hiding in the roof .. nice
Jesus Christ... We are using the term "mod" EXTREMELY loose.
The names “Rob” and the term is used to represent any adaptation or change to the vehicle. Thanks for watching .
