Ive been fortunate to see him live 40 times since 86 across the world, the last being 2020 in Melbourne, and he simply delivers every single time. I must say, seeing him in Sicily in 2003 and Rome in 2005, Italian audiences give US audiences a run for their money by way of energy... Italians go absolutely NUTS for Elton and he gives back 3000%....

@@thefonzkiss Don't be so nostalgic, he has written amazing songs in the mid 90's and the early 2000's and his voice in that period is far away from 'beeing shot.' it's just different, more powerful and matured. I don't miss his falsetto at all

Let me start by saying that I consider Elton to be an absolute legend, and I think that his original band was one of the best backing units ever. That being said, I can’t decide which is worse... That horrendous, grooveless, panicked, and rushing live rhythm section, or that incessantly noodling guitar guy, much less, the “not ready for prime time” synth player. Holy “didn’t/couldn’t learn the parts”, Batman!
