I agree. The intro can startle me a little bit though when a new video starts. But nothing is worse than a loud ad. Especially the ones that are like 15 minutes long unless you hit skip.
Gimli, I think, is the greatest dwarf to have lived. Not for courage or prowess in battle (which he certainly had), but for being a healer. He healed the rift between Rohirrim and Dwarf. He healed the rift between Galadhrim and Dwarf. He built the bond between Gondorean and Dwarf. And at last, Gimli stood before the Valar, first among dwarves. I also must comment on the strength of Tolkien's work, that it inspires so many to such passion in its studies, as we see in examples like this video. Well done.

There sincerely is no other youtube experience like this one. These long-form videos are so appropriately reflective of Tolkeins legendary style of writing. I feel as if I've embarked on a new journey into a familiar world. Thank you so much for all your deep dives into Tolkien's lore, your efforts are greatly appreciated. So very glad to have you back, you were sorely missed.
I'm not saying anything against Telchar, I'm really not, but I am saying the fact that the two main pieces of ironwork he's known for - Angrist and Narsil - both get broken when Our Heroes use them is not the best advertisement for Ye Olde Telchar's Weaponry and Smithing Shoppe. (Kidding! I kid! But I do find it funny. The greatest craftsman of the dwarves, ever, is best known wares that are famous for getting broken. Nice! Beautiful tales of heroism that are relatable to modern life. Thank you for sharing your gift of translation. I for one feel that you placed your mark in this imaginarium, but in a real way, if that makes any sense.
I find it interesting that, while Tolkien was very religious himself, the only real "religion" in a dogmatic sense we experience in middle-earth is through the Dwarves. There are certain things the Elves hold sacred like the light of Elbereth or whatever, but you don't really find Men (or Hobbits) paying any kind of service to religious tradition.
