2013 Volkswagen Jetta Door Locks Locking While Driving

- The door locks on this Jetta SE keep actuating while driving. We come in and diagnose the issue in this episode using a lab scope and test light. All data and the snap on modis were not much help this time as we had no system operation description nor did we have any data available. We did have a wiring diagram
What a shame. I have a 2009 Jetta, my wife has a 2013 Passat and my daughter has a 2012 Passat and we all have this same exact issue. Has anyone took this issue to Volkswagen? Great video.
Thanks.
Same problem. You are a genius.
Very helpful video, thank you !
Vw needs to held accountable for this
The switch in the door could be out of adjustment as well had this issue with my 12 Passat turned the switch in the door everything works, except the lock unlock light in the door
I saw that you are in Florida. Where? Maybe close to me.
Same
Did you ever fix this issue?
Why shouldn't VW be accountable for a faulty actuator?
This should only happen once per start/trip..if the doors click every time you hit 10mph as you're accelerating, there is a problem. I had this issue..it seems to come and go..hasn't happened in over a year..but didn't do anything to fix it..problem now is the driver's door not unlocking with the remote. I have to re-lock the doors, punch the door handle hard, then use the remote again. Sometimes it takes 2-3 tries..🤬 My car is a 2013 Passat S PZEV 2.5 Liter in case it helps
I have the same problem with my 2014 jetta
@@MrGercela64 Sorry to hear that! It's gone away (AGAIN!) on my car-I have no idea WHY it stops happening...I've also had issues with the remote fob not unlocking doors sometimes...Literally, hit unlock once and it unlocks the driver's door (or doesn't) and then push twice, try to open the rear driver's door, and it's still locked...Other issue I had was the 1 touch up/down windows stopped working and I had to replace the driver's side switch module in the armrest...But the door issues and central locking issue will go away for months/years, then re-appear out of the blue...Very Frustrating!
Mine only started doing it once I got cold I just got this car in August
Oh my gosh! YES! mine does it too! Only at slow speeds. It's possessed!👺👹
Repair confirmed?
My 2008 Golf R32 did this....and now my 2018 GTi (a car 10 years newer) does this. VW must not care about solving this problem
Jesus cristh is really annoying had 2008 with this problem could never figured out now I have 2013 that start doing the same thing and I tough since this one is diesel will be different but no same thing is really annoying but more annoying that no mechanic seems to know what it is I’m scared to take it to vw dealership will cost a small fortune to fix
How to fix
Damnit my car started doing this too. VW should be ashamed, my car only has 40k miles and I hardly ever use the other doors except for my driver side door.
Same here
Same. My Jetta is a 2013 with only 16k miles. I barely drive (yes, i said 16,000 miles) and I have this issue. WTF VW?!
I miss my 2004 Ford Taurus V6, bigger engine, and better mileage and I sold it with more than 200,000 miles. No maintenance problems. German engineers are not really good.
another example of why VW has fallen short of the old respectable reputation.
My back passenger window won't roll down either. So stupid.
My 1995 VW did the EXACT same thing! And now my vw 2011 locks like it's possessed by SATAN and windows won't roll down in the back.

Why isn't this volkswagens fault?
