Thank you. This video is, by far, the most organized presentation of the RC line of ships. As I, too, am showing my age, I will likely be looking at the Vision Class of ships.
This video should be listed on the official website of Royal Carribean. I was struggling on their website for a while and couldn't get the information I need. This video is perfect.
Just got off Grandeur (Vision class) a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't sure what to expect with it being the oldest and smallest in the fleet but I loved it. She didn't show her age and it was small enough to easily maneuver around and had everything I need. Loved it and hope they don't get rid of these small, relaxing ships.
@bcat6236 yes they had trivia daily and they had shows. The shows were pretty dated, though. Kind of the Broadway review type stuff but still well-done. Also the usual assortment of magicians and comedians. Outside the theater, there was music daily in the atrium that was pretty good. It was a very relaxed, slow-paced ship and that is what I like.
We've sailed on Voyager, Freedom & Quantum class and especially loved Independence and Anthem of the Seas out of those options. Independence was our first ever cruise so holds a special place in our hearts as it was so much fun; whereas Anthem was just more dazzling and packed full of features. Best ships in the industry!
It's great to hear that you've enjoyed cruising on the Voyager, Freedom, and Quantum class ships, particularly Independence and Anthem of the Seas. Both ships offer a wide range of amenities and entertainment options, making for an enjoyable experience.
Great video. We just got off the Radiance (today), and honestly we found we enjoy the larger (Oasis) ships. We have teen kids and like the activities, shows and late night pizza more on the larger ships. Plus we felt the ride on the smaller ships was notably wavier. We put our deposit down for the next one, likely the Icon, to test the BIG ship experience again.
On Icon now. It's fricking amazing 👏 We did Grandure 1st, so the bar was set. This ship is amazing. The entertainment the ship itself. Icon is the Ish. I want to do the roller coaster one with bumper cars
⚓ Thank you for making this video comparing all of the classes of the Royal Caribbean cruise ships. I found it very informative and helpful. I have gone on the Vision class, the Quantum class and the Oasis class ships and they are all very different and unique in their own right. The Vision class has a classic feel and a cozy atmosphere, the Quantum class has amazing technology and entertainment options, and the Oasis class has incredible size and variety of activities. I enjoyed each one of them for different reasons.
You're welcome! I'm glad you found the video informative and helpful in comparing the different classes of Royal Caribbean cruise ships. It's great to hear that you have experienced the Vision, Quantum, and Oasis class ships, and that you appreciate their unique characteristics. Each class offers a distinct cruising experience, from the classic and cozy ambiance of the Vision class, to the cutting-edge technology and entertainment options of the Quantum class, and the grand scale and diverse activities of the Oasis class. It's wonderful that you enjoyed each of them for different reasons. Happy cruising! ⚓🚢
Great video! Very clear and well organized. I wasn’t even aware that Royal Caribbean had small 2000 passenger ships. I would love to see similar videos for Celebrity and Princess.
Thank you for this video. We just made our first cruise on the Spectrum of the Seas from Singapore. A great experience. The pools tend to get quite crowded but the cabins are great and it does not feel too crowded. The crew is friendly and attentive. The Silk Road Show in the 270 was of great quality. The Windjammer tend to be very busy at peak breakfast hours. The atmosphere and attention to detail is very laid back and relaxing.
OMG, this was so very informative and helpful to me! I've only been on one cruise (which I won) & it was on a RCL ship, 7 day western Caribbean, and it was wonderful! Looking to go on another, but I'll probably be alone this time. Any additional tips on which ship is good for solo travelers would be appreciated. I'd prefer a outer balcony cabin again...too claustrophobic for an inner or oceanview room.. Thanks again for a wonderful vlog!
This is so helpful! We’ve only cruised with Disney before so I was a bit scared about the size so this has given me a good idea of what might be right for us
Looking to book my next cruise (first cruise was on RC’s Wonder in June 2023). Great breakdown of RC ships. The freedom class ships, according to RC have passenger capacities of approximately 4500 for Freedom, 5000 for Liberty and 4700 for Independence.
Thanks for your suggestion! I'll definitely keep that in mind for future videos. Norwegian Cruise Line has some amazing ships and features, so it would be great to explore and showcase them in a similar way. I appreciate your feedback and I'll do my best to create content that you'll enjoy. Stay tuned for more exciting cruise videos! 😊🚢
Hi Ben. I've not sailed with RC yet. Mostly NCL, Princess, Carnival and recently MSC. I really like seeing all the different "neighborhoods" on Royal. So much to do and see. I'm a mix of I really want to relax and enjoy the pools, hot tubs, cocktail's and food. Then I want to try and do everything. Lol. This was a great video of you explaining and showing all that's available in each class. Thank you! ❤❤
Hey there! Thanks for your kind words! Royal Caribbean does offer a great variety of activities and amenities across their ships, and the different neighborhoods make each ship unique. It's awesome that you're looking forward to both relaxation and trying out all the exciting experiences on board. I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time exploring the pools, hot tubs, cocktails, and delicious food. Enjoy your upcoming cruise with Royal Caribbean! 🚢❤️
Just got off the Oasis a few weeks ago... the Central Park feature was a truly awesome feature, especially as our balcony overlooked it. My wife is an amateur gardener, and found The Oasis CP particularly endearing.
I’m so excited I picked symphony of the seas. It leaves from the closet port near me, and I did my research before booking. July 2024 a trip for my daughter high-school graduation🎉, I know she will love it. Can’t wait! First time cruising. Thank you for this video at a chance to to see other ships.
That's fantastic! Symphony of the Seas is an amazing choice for your daughter's high school graduation trip. It's the perfect opportunity to embark on your first cruise and create unforgettable memories together. The ship offers a plethora of activities and amenities to keep everyone entertained and thrilled throughout the journey. You made a great decision by doing your research beforehand, as it helps ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. Get ready for an incredible adventure on Symphony of the Seas in July 2024! 🎉🚢
Love the way you explain everything. As newbie cruisers, my husband & I are thankful for your information and wonderful effort with your videos! Great work! 🎉
@@novaicapital I agree. I will take classic, & classy over futuristic . They all have something to offer, and are all beautiful looking but vintage wins all the time with most things! 😉
Wow best video on cruise ship so far. As soon as you started talking about the different class ships I took a pen and a notebook because I always wonder what ships belong to what class . You did a wonderful job explaining that. Also last time I went on a cruise my travel agent asked what ship I was looking for , I couldn’t tell the difference so he just picked for me. But after watching your video I feel more educated and prepared for my cruise next year God willing. Thank you for this great video and of course I subscribe and like the video because you deserve it 😊
I've always really enjoyed the freedom class.. but taking my 8 year old on oasis class recently, I don't think i'll get back on freedom for a while lol. They're all amazing.
I just got off my first royal carribean cruise last week! I was oasis of the seas. As a past guest of carnival, I absolutely ADORE royal carribean. Oasis of the seas is mind blowing !!!
I did a solo 10 day repositioning cruise on Vision. It was small and quiet and just what I needed. Would have been boring for my teen. I plan on taking her on the Symphony 14 day reposition cruise from Barcelona this fall. I'm sure it will suit her better!
That sounds like a great plan! Repositioning cruises can offer a different experience, and the Symphony will definitely have more activities and entertainment options for your teen to enjoy. It's wonderful that you're considering her preferences. Have a fantastic time on your upcoming cruise! 🚢😊
So helpful this video. My husband and I took our first voyage on Virgin earlier this year. We want to try Royal but I had no idea where to start. This video helped tremendously. Thank you!
Im taking Mariner of the Seas soon, which will be my first RCL cruise. I think its got more than enough entertainment available without being overly crazy. These seem too big to be relaxing
Very informative video, Ben. Thanks for sharing! We used to cruise "for the destinations"; our latest cruise was on Harmony, chosen "for the ship." We did a wonderful cruise in Europe on Vision a few years ago.
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you found the video informative! It's great to hear about your cruise experiences. Choosing a cruise "for the ship" can be a fantastic way to enjoy the onboard amenities, entertainment, and dining options. Cruising in Europe on Vision must have been a memorable experience, as there's so much history and culture to explore in the various ports of call. Happy cruising and may you have many more amazing adventures in the future!
Excellent Video! We have cruised on the Oasis class and Quantum class ships. Going on a Radiance Class in Alaska next year. I learned a lot. Thanks for providing all of this great information!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and found the information helpful. Cruising on different classes of ships offers unique experiences, and I'm sure your upcoming Alaska cruise on a Radiance Class ship will be fantastic. Wishing you an incredible time and memorable moments on your cruise. If you have any more questions or need further information, feel free to ask. Happy cruising! 🚢😊
Amazing video. So well done and informative. I currently have 5 cruises scheduled on a variety of classes and this video makes me want to schedule 5 more!! Love Freedom and Voyager class ships. The best of both worlds
Love your videos Ben great ship reviews. We love the Radiance class ships Jewel of the Seas is beautiful lots of glass and exotic woods. Did panama canal on thIS ship in 2019 16 nights. Loved it so much sailing on Radiance of the Seas this fall Vancouver Canada to San Diego then on same ship(back to back) San Diego to Tampa Florida Panama Canal. Total nights 24 so looking forward to this.
Thank you for your kind words! It sounds like you've had some incredible experiences onboard the Radiance class ships. The Jewel of the Seas does have a stunning design with its abundant glass and exotic woods. Your upcoming back-to-back cruise from Vancouver to San Diego and then through the Panama Canal to Tampa on Radiance of the Seas sounds like a fantastic journey! With a total of 24 nights, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the ship and explore the various destinations. Wishing you a wonderful and memorable cruise!
Took our first RCL cruise in January on the Voyager-class NAVIGATOR and then tried the OVATION (Quantum class) this month to Alaska-Definitely preferred the larger confines of Ovation over the kinda-cramped Navigator…Next up are back-to-back-to-back Oasis-class cruises on OASIS (Oct 2023 from NYC to Nassau), HARMONY (May 2024 from Galveston to the Western Caribbean) and then SYMPHONY (Halloween 2024 from NYC to Nassau, again)…Who knows?! Maybe we’ll even give Icon a shot in 2025!
Wow, you've got quite the lineup of cruises planned! Going from the Navigator to the Ovation must have been quite the difference in terms of space. It's great to hear that you preferred the larger confines of the Ovation. And those back-to-back-to-back Oasis-class cruises sound amazing! You'll have quite the adventure exploring different destinations. Who knows, maybe the Icon class will be next on your list in 2025! Enjoy your upcoming cruises and have a fantastic time exploring the seas onboard Royal Caribbean. Safe travels and happy cruising!
I'm the opposite of you. I've only been on Oasis, Symphony, and Harmony. I'm going on Navigator in January 2024. Symphony and Oasis are very similar and great. Harmony doesn't have Playmakers, which I really missed otherwise about the same. It takes about 3 sailings on them to see and do everything you want. I'm excited to try Navigator to see if I like the smaller ship, but it's also updated.
@@travis9791 it’s pretty good…the ice show is great! My main problem with our cruise was that it was only three nights, we only stopped in Ensenada, Mexico and ENSENADA IS A TERRIBLE PORT! (Definitely get a shore excursion! It’s a dreary industrial town to wander around!)
2:29…Sadly, I think they’ve gotten rid of most of the JAZZ ON 4 jazz clubs (at least they have on Oasis and Symphony)…. but they HAVE replaced them with something Quite Needed!-Non Smoking Casinos!
¡Entiendo completamente!
I’ve sailed from Vision of the Seas right up to Allure & Symphony and they’ve all been great holidays with the same excellent level of service. The big difference to me is the itineraries as the smaller ships can get into more ports.
Thank you so much for the inflation, always watch you and your husband, you guys are the best, and always have best information Thank you. Roya Caribbean ship, see you on Icon of the Sea, maybe next year, its expensive 2024, maybe 2025 will less expensive
Ben and David: Why is Independence of the Seas your favorite ship (or among the most favorite)? I am afraid my 9-year-old nephew would not have nearly enough options to play compared to the bigger ships.
I love crusing but couldnt think of anything worse then being crammed on a Oasis class ship 6k + people.. far too many! how is it enjoyable standing around waiting for activities, food etc. Ill stick to the Quantum class we get down here in Australia.. No issues that i can think of still monster ships too
These large ships seem to put the focus on food, entertainment, amusement park rides rather on cruising itself. With all this going on, it seems as if there is little time to just sit back in a quiet area and enjoy the sea and views of nature.
I am taking my almost 12 year old on the Radiance in February. Hopefully there is still a lot for her to enjoy since it will be her first cruise. Any suggestions?
Royal Caribbean's Quantum-class ships are known for featuring roller skating rinks. Currently, the following ships in the Quantum class have roller skating rinks: Quantum of the Seas Anthem of the Seas Ovation of the Seas Spectrum of the Seas These ships offer the opportunity to enjoy the thrill of roller skating while cruising the seas. It's a fun and unique activity that adds to the onboard entertainment options. Lace up your skates and get ready for some exciting roller skating adventures!
My wife and I live in the Houston area so we’ve cruised out of Galveston many times only on Royal Caribbean. A seven day cruise used to go to Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Belize city. but not anymore. No matter what ship the only ports are Roatan Honduras and the same two places in Mexico. Why is that, and will Royal Caribbean return to those other great places?
Only been on quantum class ships I think there’s some space for slides 3 would do hope they do add it since I can only get on anthem in the uk Edit: back from anthem was amazing we missed 3 days but we’re able to board on day 4 and luckily we didn’t miss much such a beautiful ship
on the quantum class of ships, Royal Caribbean said they're getting rid of the bouncy simulator on the back of the ship that big yellow circle thing. do you know what they're putting there instead?

@@travis9791 it’s pretty good…the ice show is great! My main problem with our cruise was that it was only three nights, we only stopped in Ensenada, Mexico and ENSENADA IS A TERRIBLE PORT! (Definitely get a shore excursion! It’s a dreary industrial town to wander around!)
2:29…Sadly, I think they’ve gotten rid of most of the JAZZ ON 4 jazz clubs (at least they have on Oasis and Symphony)…. but they HAVE replaced them with something Quite Needed!-Non Smoking Casinos!
Really hope oasis or icon class ships can come to the uk because all I can go on are quantum’s been on the original and will be going to anthem soon
I understand your excitement for the Oasis or Icon class ships to come to the UK. They are indeed magnificent vessels with a lot to offer.
Thanks you
I’ve sailed from Vision of the Seas right up to Allure & Symphony and they’ve all been great holidays with the same excellent level of service.
The big difference to me is the itineraries as the smaller ships can get into more ports.
Cute with Disney shirt 👕
Thanks!
It is helpful
Thank you so much for the inflation, always watch you and your husband, you guys are the best, and always have best information Thank you. Roya Caribbean ship, see you on Icon of the Sea, maybe next year, its expensive 2024, maybe 2025 will less expensive
Ben and David: Why is Independence of the Seas your favorite ship (or among the most favorite)? I am afraid my 9-year-old nephew would not have nearly enough options to play compared to the bigger ships.
As far as the weather goes, when’s the best time of year to go sailing in the Caribbean?
Why did RCCL get rid of their Skypad?
I love crusing but couldnt think of anything worse then being crammed on a Oasis class ship 6k + people.. far too many!
how is it enjoyable standing around waiting for activities, food etc.
Ill stick to the Quantum class we get down here in Australia.. No issues that i can think of still monster ships too
These large ships seem to put the focus on food, entertainment, amusement park rides rather on cruising itself. With all this going on, it seems as if there is little time to just sit back in a quiet area and enjoy the sea and views of nature.
Yep. Why I’m sticking with P&O Iona/Arvia
I am taking my almost 12 year old on the Radiance in February. Hopefully there is still a lot for her to enjoy since it will be her first cruise. Any suggestions?
Which one has the roller skating rink?
Royal Caribbean's Quantum-class ships are known for featuring roller skating rinks. Currently, the following ships in the Quantum class have roller skating rinks:
Quantum of the Seas
Anthem of the Seas
Ovation of the Seas
Spectrum of the Seas
These ships offer the opportunity to enjoy the thrill of roller skating while cruising the seas. It's a fun and unique activity that adds to the onboard entertainment options. Lace up your skates and get ready for some exciting roller skating adventures!
@@InsideCruise Thank you so much. I was hoping I could bring my skates on a cruise.
Only been on quantum class ships I think there’s some space for slides 3 would do hope they do add it since I can only get on anthem in the uk
Edit: back from anthem was amazing we missed 3 days but we’re able to board on day 4 and luckily we didn’t miss much such a beautiful ship
on the quantum class of ships, Royal Caribbean said they're getting rid of the bouncy simulator on the back of the ship that big yellow circle thing. do you know what they're putting there instead?
As of my last knowledge update, Royal Caribbean had not made any announcements the replacement with another feature.
I wish the royal carribean ships were adults only! Ibwant all the slides and go carts without a million kids running around ha. Theres an idea.
isn't it the same cruise that mrbeast and his crew went?
Well you already scared me away from Symphony Of The Seas in another video….
Omg 😱
