I think hit pieces happen very often. The ones I’ve seen paint a narrative subtly about whatever agenda they are aiming for. For example if a comic tells a joke that is clearly a joke, the writer can put it verbatim and say “look at what they said” when the intention wasn’t to be a serious comment. Then the writer will site other people that made the same accusation as if it’s now a fact. Happens in mma media now I’m a big mma fan and one of the head writers is of a website I go to is a liberal. Anything that goes against his beliefs he paints the picture that the person is this monster when it’s clearly painting that narrative to suit his agenda.
It's a hit piece because it's extremely biased and slanted and mostly accounts for his apparent missteps, when there is a lot pointing to his more redeemable qualities as a man. It also implies that his work should be called into question, work that can be independently verified, because he was apparently dealing with multiple women at the same time. He is being shamed for not asking permission to use his agency when in comes to dating from a woman he wasn't even exclusive with for the first 3 years of dating, a woman we know absolutely nothing about
Well said. People aren’t perfect. We all have dark sides. Some of us just won’t accept it. I’m not willing to judge a guy who clearly has an issue. He’s done too much for too many. If you were the subject of a hit piece, what might people write about you?

You don't need consent to have multiple sexual partners. His body, his choice lol. Also, the article never indicates he lied to secure sex either. Regarding a woman named Eve, the article says she "had the impression that he was not seeing anyone else: She was willing to have unprotected sex". This does not imply he lied. She convinced herself that he wasn't seeing anyone else and maybe that wasn't a condition he had to meet anyway per the attraction level.

Probably a hit piece 😂😂😂
This dude is clearly a FED.
I think u can do better
When people can’t discredit someone’s opinions they’ll often try and attack their personal reputation to try and have the same effect.
Or maybe you’re trying to get clicks on the back of someone else’s with more influence to boost your own? The reason why it’s a hit piece is because everyone private life is their own goddamn business and as an educator and scientist there’s 0 relevance as to whether or not he’s been unfaithful (shocker he’d not be the first) to what his persona or role is online
Is this video a confession?
I think hit pieces happen very often. The ones I’ve seen paint a narrative subtly about whatever agenda they are aiming for. For example if a comic tells a joke that is clearly a joke, the writer can put it verbatim and say “look at what they said” when the intention wasn’t to be a serious comment. Then the writer will site other people that made the same accusation as if it’s now a fact. Happens in mma media now I’m a big mma fan and one of the head writers is of a website I go to is a liberal. Anything that goes against his beliefs he paints the picture that the person is this monster when it’s clearly painting that narrative to suit his agenda.
if you come to the real world sometimes you will see that not everything has an agenda
@@Rafa-nn3zw I just gave you two real scenarios where they have agendas….. reading not your strong suit?
0:14 Scott, we need the link for this facebook group 0:14 , please.
We love direct, spot on and direct journalism. Needed today. "... me doth think he Protest Too Much".
@@lindaohanraha-hanrahan2817Wouldn't matter. It would necessarily be riddled with half truths, ellipses, and innuendo, if not outright lies. Unfortunately, not enough people know how to read critically. If you're saying you're not judging him in the same breath you're saying he clearly has issues, you've also been duped
I’m not judging. He himself has admitted to that. I’ve had every vice out there. I know them when I see them. And I didn’t mean your story specifically. I meant people who are the first one to throw rocks even though they live in glass houses. Like Billy Joel said back in the 80s. 😊
Those are not missteps. A misstep implies an accidental action. Pretty sure juggling multiple sex partners without their consent was not accidental. That shit takes premeditation. Misstep is your sorry excuse at defending a man who intentionally hurt others.
@@taliajazel6952 I didn't say "misstep". I said "apparent missteps" because I fail to discern the grave wrongdoing here. And what you wrote doesn't make sense.
Scott tried throwing shade at Wim Hof too.
You’re a fringin hit-piece.
I think you should restudy the definition of a hit piece...
You seem to know it. Explain:
@@sgcarney "A published article or post aiming to sway public opinion by presenting false or biased information in a way that appears objective and truthful"
What talking to his girlfriend about his pass relationship has to do with the work he’s doing now
bro lighten up
Sending out emails to friends, family and coworkers to look for dirt about a person is fishing and is part of looking for information to confirm a bias.
''i legally reviewed your snuf piece''
Huberman was definitely hitting his side pieces.
The research of the article was based on interviews woth ex girlfriends. Why would they ever say anything good about former boyfriend? Its a hit piece. Case closed.
This comment can only come from an incel. The article also clearly featured 2 ex girlfriends who remained friendly with him. Ex partners do not automatically hate each other.
True, nearly every woman I know says she was "abused" by her previous boyfriends and her bosses.
Its a hit peace when relevant information about sources are kept from the readers. Like how the accuser is under a DOJ investigation for fraud.
It is a hit-piece, Silly Billy.
I need a little more. Did you write it?
See the New York Magazine piece.
The way you speak to your audience is very demeaning. Just because people don’t agree with you, doesn’t mean they are stupid.
You got jelly in your belly?
Why are you so invested in seeing Huberman fall? Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. I'm not even a big fan of Huberman. Guy would have you believe you need a million supplements and do a million little habits every day. But he puts out good info and has helped a lot of people. So he isn't a perfect human being. Why the FUCK aren't you as worried about the politicians who fuck over millions of lives?
if an article is actually well researched, fact checked and legally reviewed then yes, its not a hit piece. Now find me one of these well researched fact checked and reviewed articles.
Why do you think the NY piece wasn't well reported? Do you know what goes into reporting?
@@sgcarneyabsolute sh*t. So many articles written by new feminist can be so easily discredited. Like till yesterday no one knew you existed. Today, here you are with a bunch of his exes for your 15 minutes fame.
@sgcarney I do! Ideologically driven hacks get their ideologically driven nonsense checked by series of affirmations and snapping-applauses and then the journalists play victim
Well, when people have nothing else they can intelligently say to "debate" the issue" ... they play the victim, instead of engaging in deductive reasoning. It's juvenile. You keep the level of journalism high regardless! Keep being you!! ❤️
thanks for being here.
“Sometimes criticisms are valid”. No further points are made here.
You really are here because u couldn’t swim with shark with huberman
You sound sour my dude
What do you think pharmaceutical companies do when they feel threatened?
Is that a riddle? What?
I guess watch your own video for context?
He admitted he had a rough childhood
It took him a lot of courage to make up a story about surviving juvie.
Dude…Female much?
Why go after his personal life. It has nothing to do with the reason we gravitate to him.
Whilst I agree Huberman is a phony, kind of hurts your credibility when you basically turn your channel into the anti huberman channel with multiple shorts and multiple videos clinging on to every detail
A world renowned Neuro-scientist with a massive body of work and research is a phony? For sleeping around? Interesting… walk me through that.
You are a hit piece
Of course it’s a hit piece. Scott anybody who wants to find dirt on you will always find it. Mature adults know better than to put any human being up on a pedestal, but I don’t need to put the guy up on a pedestal to enjoy his perspective.
Incel vs Chad
It's a hit piece. Aimed to destroy image and ruin their livelihood. The hit piece is probably correct. But since when is standing people up an offense punishable by decimation of livelihood?
Don't call it journalism. Call it propaganda if you're working for benefits of certain political party.
Which party?
Scott, calm down. Everything will be fine. 😅
I don’t know who this guy is, but I can already tell he’s not someone worth listening to. I doubt he actually read the article.
Lolol you know so little.
@@sgcarney wow you’re quite the salesman! Way to gather new subscribers! You won’t be showing up in my feed anymore.
this guy looks crazy
Huberman has fantastic advice and credentials. Your channel, not so much.
If you count doing some low-key research on the occipital nerve of a mouse or two fantastic. 🙄
I agree it's a hit piece. I assume 90% of it is true, but how is it relevant???
The descriptions of Huberman being a self centered manipulative jerk don't affect the creditibility of his show.
The irony is that it may help him personally because he's not going to be able to pull the garbage off as easily as before. I hope it helps him improve, because he is grossly lacking in area.
That writer wanted to destroy him.
Im sure shes disappointed that he hasnt face repercussions in his career. What do you thinl should be the consequences for Huberman? Colleagues shun him? Stanford gives him the boot? He loses his revenue stream from his podcasts?
If dont think any of those examples are appropriate, then what is the article accomplishing? Public humiliation of Huberman and vindication for all the people he's personally hurt? Is that what we want these big publications doing with their resources?
I hate the corporate press and this is a perfect example why. The editor who gave this story the go ahead should lose her job!
Kind like this short. Bringing nothing to the table.
why are you trying to benefit from the spotlight of others, while exploiting their personal life?
Why are you defending people based on their public image alone?
@@sgcarney because this is what should concern a healthy individual. The rest is their business
Have you actually invited Andrew Huberman to give his side of everything you are saying about him? I think that culture is problematic in a whole.. And also has link to intelligent agencies too. California, west coast hippy culture. Why don't expose that.. Because as I have suspicions about you as well. It best to control both side of the story right.
He doesn’t want to go on the record.
Ghosting is ghosting and it simply lacks maturity. Regardless of what you think of this gentleman speaking ,this journalist, it's one of the most immature things that a person can do. As I'm watching other rising stars who are crumbling, I think it's important to vet more these people. What's interesting to me is as I've observed over the last five years, my suspicions about the character of some of these people are proving to be correct.
Well researched protocols of hearsay of several people. Until now i wasn't even aware that the new York magazine would publish a gossipy, self-help group documentary.
And you know what: most stayed friends with him. I am surprised he would want to stay friends with them.
Most "pieces" are dunk pieces. Nothing constructive. Just tribal hate.
You just aren’t grasping the concept homie
I can't tell if you're being disingenuous here. I'll presume you're capable of accepting a baseline of objective truth in order that you would agree on concise definitions of concepts and words. A "hit piece" as commonly used is a publication crafted to sway public opinion against an individual or individuals by presenting untrue, inaccurate or incomplete information as true, factual and whole. It appears what you're trying to do isn't so much challenge the legitimacy of "hit pieces", as shoot a poorly disguised jab at Andrew Huberman and his defenders. I'll take a wild guess and reckon you also didn't find anything wrong with the media-at-large's reporting on Trump between 2015-2022.
That article was not based on facts nor was it legally reviewed lol.
And your evidence is....
What does his personal relationships have to do with neuroscience?
Does he have a wife?
No crazy exes
Nope
How is it not a 'hit-piece'? It's an article about him personally that has nothing to do with his professional career or public profile.
You didn’t read it, did you?
And you are making money off of him. Using his image in thumbnails, his name in your titles. This is legit pathetic. You should thank him.
He’s making $20m a year selling fake supplements and pseudoscience. Go drink some AG1. Promo code Huberman
This articles a hit piece.
This is his true dating profile !!! And so what ? A shirtless picture, omg, that's bad, it's not fake. I don't understand the logic behind it.
