I made this today! It's amazing! I also added a little bit of rum to the espresso and I cut the sponge in half to make two layers of sponge and filling in a pan. Tiramisu is the one thing I have been missing in my life. Well done you two!

tamcon72 This recipe was no joke to develop, but with a bit of patience I managed to do a pretty good job. The mouthfeel is not exactly the same due to the complete lack of fat, but considering that it is vegan and without any cream...it is a pretty good tiramisu! :) Thanks for watching
One thing I love about being vegan- batter is safe for spoon-licking, or just accidentally dipping your finger in the bowl 😉 tiramisu was my fav too! Can't wait to try this!

I made the brownies and they are gone. The sponge cake for the tiramisu is cooling off. And I got the chocolate chip cookies in the oven. :D What better way to enjoy Christmas than have them all!!! Thank you for these great recipes. PS I think I will bake the brownies for 15-18 minutes instead of 20, and I will add chocolate pieces next time. They weren't as gooey as your photo but they were still yummy. :D Thanks.

Hiya I just made this using the gluten free cake base, orange juice instead of milk, and I dipped it in orange juice instead of coffee as well ( happened to have lots of oranges lying around), and the orange-chocolate combination is really refreshing! Love this recipe!!

Wow this recipe looks delicious. I rushed to the store to buy corn starch and started to make the tiramisu. Sadly my sponge wasn't as firm as yours and it was more bread-like than cake. I also needed to boil the filling longer but that was just a result of my inexperience with cooking custards etc. I did like the taste of everything combined, so maybe I'll try this recipe again. (I used rice milk as non-dairy base)
Carlijn Ros Wow, that was fast! :) The consistency of the sponge has very little importance in this instance as it should end up completely soaked in coffee. In regard to the custard, I always prefer to use more starch rather than cook it for longer time, as I find that this makes it easier for people to obtain consistent results. However, do know that every starch has its own characteristics, and it is very difficult to obtain exactly the same result using flours with different brand/origin. Couldn't resist and tasted the sponge. The lemon zest made it delightful. I will definitely use this sponge recipe to do other creamy desserts. Got my brain creating new deliciousnesses. Tomorrow I will make the filling and we will have tiramisu for dessert. :) I made another brownie batch after the first. I cooked it for only 15 minutes and added 1/3 c of chocolate chips, and it turned out more gooey. I also realized that I used 1 cup of flour the first time instead of 3/4 . :D That makes a difference doesn't it?! I am not a very precise baker. But I like the results. YOu guys are amazing vegan chefs. Thank you so much for posting these videos. My kids that have been vegan since April loooooved the brownies, cookies and I know they will be head over heels for the tiramisu. :) Again, thank you.

You also might want to try the sponge of our chocolate drizzle cranberry cake, because that's also something special. Wow this recipe looks delicious. I rushed to the store to buy corn starch and started to make the tiramisu.
Sadly my sponge wasn't as firm as yours and it was more bread-like than cake. I also needed to boil the filling longer but that was just a result of my inexperience with cooking custards etc. I did like the taste of everything combined, so maybe I'll try this recipe again. (I used rice milk as non-dairy base)
Carlijn Ros Wow, that was fast! :) The consistency of the sponge has very little importance in this instance as it should end up completely soaked in coffee. In regard to the custard, I always prefer to use more starch rather than cook it for longer time, as I find that this makes it easier for people to obtain consistent results. However, do know that every starch has its own characteristics, and it is very difficult to obtain exactly the same result using flours with different brand/origin. unicornseatfruit Thank you. If you don't want to use decaffeinated coffee, I recommend using barley coffee. I'm afraid I'm not aware of any other good substitutions for coffee. Thanks for watching

Couldn't resist and tasted the sponge. The lemon zest made it delightful. I will definitely use this sponge recipe to do other creamy desserts. Got my brain creating new deliciousnesses. Tomorrow I will make the filling and we will have tiramisu for dessert. :) I made another brownie batch after the first. I cooked it for only 15 minutes and added 1/3 c of chocolate chips, and it turned out more gooey. I also realized that I used 1 cup of flour the first time instead of 3/4 . :D That makes a difference doesn't it?! I am not a very precise baker. But I like the results. YOu guys are amazing vegan chefs. Thank you so much for posting these videos. My kids that have been vegan since April loooooved the brownies, cookies and I know they will be head over heels for the tiramisu. :) Again, thank you.

You also might want to try the sponge of our chocolate drizzle cranberry cake, because that's also something special. Try to be as precise as possible when it comes to baking, because the final result completely depends on that. ;) Thanks again!
