don't do it, oils are always kast step, the mask or conditioner will not penetrate the hair if there is a coating of oil, put the mask first then the oil.

Hi hairstylist here. Don't even worry about putting oil, deep conditioner and aussieconditioner on your roots. Your natural sebum keeps your roots moisturized. You're putting the product directly on your roots then not so much on the ends. Reverse this. You need to concentrate on the midshaft and ends more.

i mostly do my treatments before shampoo and conditioner (i leave it in for hours). I have very oily hair so this works out for me. i use my hot head cap to really get the product in there.. but cleansing and conditioning after treatments does not strip away the moisture or hydration in your hair because it sad in there for so long.
Joyjah!! This was the sign I needed to wash my hair. I tried the Aztec powder + apple cider vinegar treatment I've been seeing everywhere...my boyfriend said he can still feel some in the middle lmao. Thank you for these tips bc my bun for sure has some dreads. I hope you & your fam are safe

The back is also prone to breakage from rubbing against collars, bag straps and chairs any take you sit.
