- Hot vs Cold water hair wash challenge. Finding the right temperature to wash your hair can be tricky, there are split opinions some people say hot water is good for hair, others say cold water is the healthiest way to wash your hair so I’ve been wondering what if i fully wash my hair with each temperature to compare them at the end to see which one is better for your hair, how bad it could be right?

Honestly, cold water is better for hair and skin tightening, but hot water is better for removing dirt stuck in the ear 👍🏻
Very true 🫶🏽
I agree
Some as me
So i use Hot water or cold?
@@snotlout_oi 9:07
Why don't we use BOTH at the same wash 😕
I mean start with Hot Water to open the cuticles and remove dirt
Then to finish using cold water to close the cuticles and gain some shine
Exactly what I usually do lol
True! I use that trick 😊
That’s what I dooo
My mom was a hairdresser and that's how she taught me to do it haha
i do that but i use hot water to remove the body shampoo cause im cold and some of the hair shampoo then i use lukewarm to cold
The results were shocking😳 thanks for putting your hair through this for our benefit!
I never knew the water temperature affected your hair! Nowadays I take hot showers, so no wonder my hair is was suddenly so frizzy and puffy, when it wasn’t before! Thank you for making this video, it’s very helpful! :)
This was honestly the best hair care advice I’ve ever gotten. I used to just take cold showers and my scalp was always itchy, it had giant clumps of product stuck to it, and some parts of my hair still looked greasy even though I was using way more than a “dime-size amount” of shampoo. I tried washing my hair with warm water and rinsing the conditioner out with cold water and my hair is not itchy, I don’t feel anything on my scalp, my hair is shiny and evenly clean, and I have so much volume! Not to mention washing your hair with warm water takes so much less time than with cold water somehow!
I suggest using a scalp scrubber, it really worked for me (I shower with cold water all the time) and could work for you
As someone who takes showers with the heat ALL the way up and the cold ALL the way down
{max tempature}
I can confirm that my hair is EXTREMELY frizzy and gets messy SUPER easily but I can confirm that I won’t ever break the habit because it feels so good and warm on my skin-
Maybe for your body u can use warm water but for your hair just use Luke warm water. Trust me you do NOT want dandruff...
I don't have a shower cap but the hot water do be feeling cold with climate change in the USA where I live bc it's so cold
yesss
@@tropicalsundae4359 Taking hot showers actually makes you colder in the long run cuz your body adapts to the hotter temperatures. Plsu water contains more heat that air does, so even just short hot showers can make a massive difference to what temperatures your body is used to.
Personally, I keep my shower warm most of the time, then have like a minute with my shower turned all the way down st the end so the room is hotter than my shower.
i start my wash with lukewarm water for shampooing and getting rid of oil and then end it with cold water
Same
That’s how you should do it 👏🏽❤️
Same here!
same😊
Yep, same here
I always wash my hair with lukewarm water. While rinsing out conditioner, i slowly lower the temperature to finish with cold water a few seconds
You nailed it beautiful 🫶🏽❤️
I use both, first I use hot water for shampooing and than cold for conditioning and my hair looks very healthy people often ask me what I use for my hair 😅
i do that too
I’m sorry but washing very really hot water just makes me terrified, I just think of my hair getting so brittle, dry, boofy, etc. But that’s for me. What works for me, is using warm water, then finishing my hair with cool water at the end for a minute. For my body, I use a little more warm water because it’s freezing 😭
It's not about water at all, but about the subsequent care itself, it's clear that you didn't wash your head with boiling water, that your hair turned into a washcloth, but if you applied follow-up care, then you had the same hair as always, because you still use, among other things, oils, and here you just washed your hair with shampoo and conditioner, That's why the hair is like that
no, with only shampoo and conditioner the difference with water temperature was drastic. did you even watch the video?
6 d 5 c
Tbh, I wash my hair with cold water literally ALL the time, but what I do to prevent the frizzing is:
1. Absolutely NEVER brush your hair after the shower(if you air dry)
2. Air dry my hair so that there’s no heat damage
3. oil my scalp 4 hours before showering and oiling the ends every night
4. And never scratch my head so that it doesn’t look like I have dandruff
But I also heard you could wash your hair with hot water and rinse it off with cold water before you step out of the shower.
(Shoutout to tessa peay for teaching me these tricks❤❤❤)
honey leaving your hair and your scalp WET for crazy hours (even 2 hours is so much..) İS NOT GOOD. During the air dry, your hair will be soo fragile (cause really it holds water in it..) and it also cause hair loss, frizzy hair and breakage.. SO blow drying your hair CORRECTLY like using a heat protection, don't blow dry so close and so warm (you can find more details 'bout it with a little research) is waaay better than normally air dry. just try it🙏🏼🙏🏼
My hair gets too tangled after showering so I have to brush it out otherwise I can't after its dried
Before i use to have very hot shower but after watching your videos i changed to cool water my hair became too soft and silky 😊
this really was such an interesting video. the results are lowkey so fascinating too. i was always a bit confused bcs people said different things ab the water temperatures. anywayyy this has cleared up all my doubts🥰 stay safe, i love you🩷 hugs:)
I try to keep my hair up while I wash my body with hot/warm water and I try to wash my hair with lukewarm/cold water to not damage it. I hope this helps anyone!
I use Garnier Fructis Grow Strong the apple version and I only lose 5 hairs in the shower at the most regardless of the temperature of the water.
I was always told to do luke warm water for washing so its warm enough to help break up the oil with the shampoo while leaving a little still on it........and then use cool water for the conditioner rinsing to help sooth the scalp and such............i legit never knew people did only hot or cold only
Yeah basically I do the same mixing method for my hair wash & my hair feels great❣️
Really great demo with a lots of great information and honestly an eye opener I would say with the practical results that literally showed -what needs to be done asap.
When I was growing up we didn't have hot water. And my hair was always so smooth, straight and felt amazing
And I never dye my hair I might add. Only difference between now and then was I came up, and have hot water now and it's terrible on my hair
Actually you should shower with both type of temperature. We should use lukewarm water "NOT HOT WATER* for the cleaning and shampooing part. When our shampooing is finally done then we should shower with cold water to lock in everything. Plus cold water should be used in case of conditioners.
I started double cleasning my hair from today ownwards, so during double cleanse i use lukewarm water. After that after completing shampooing process, i did a run through will cold water and then used conditioner and rinsed it off with cold water. Trust me the softness i get and feel in my hair while rinsing the conditioner with cold water is fabulous. Basically you need to shower with both kind of temperature to get an amazing hair wash.
In winters, prefer lukewarm water and bit of cold water ( like a decent level of temperature of the cold water)
I do the same. And the result is really amazing.
I was with hot water and my hair is always FRIZZY and DRY and looks DEAD. Now that I know why, I’m gonna wash with cold water
Did it work?
@@justventing43 yeah! I lot better but it was rlly cold 🥶
Your my new favorite hair UA-camr thank you so much for these videos it helped me a lot have a good day or night❤❤ and what scalp oil do you recommend?
Nice, already combining both in my hair wash routine. Informative video
Thank you for sharing☺️
I normally shampoo my hair with lukewarm water than I would blast my hair with cold water and dampen it then I would leave in my conditioner and wash off the conditioner with cold water, so your hair is clean and it doesn’t have much frizz
I wash with lukewarm water. Warm enough for me but not too hot to where it's boiling. But also not too cold to where I'm freezing. I could try the mix method though.
I use lukewarm during washing, then cool after conditioning.
I feel the same dear warm hair cleanses very nicely removes the buildup and does not weigh down my hairss and cold water restores moisture , keep hairs frizz free so we should use both of them. I did not have time today for warm water so I washed my hairs with cold water today next day I will surely use warm water to wash my hairss ❤ thanks love
Awesome love ❤️ next time you try let me know how it goes 🥰 hugs
@@DoroCubillo ok sweetie 😘
@@DoroCubillo hi sweetheart today I tried this method and my hairs feels so fresh, light and well cleansed I am loving it♥️♥️
I wash with hot water and rinse with cold water. Once I have blowed dried my hair I finish in cool hair.
while shampooing i wash with hot-warm water (not boiling hot ) and during conditioning i rinse out with lil colder then luke warm :)
Personally I like washing with warm water not hot or cold. Just body temperature.
No wonder the buildup wasn't going away no matter how much shampoo I used! Gotta use lukewarm to wash off the dirt and cold water to finish it off. Thank you Beauty!❤✨
You should try warm water for shampoo and conditioner at the end use cold water it will make your hair better .I ur it and it makes my hair healthy.
Enjoyed it and learned from it , thank you so much❤
That’s awesome ❤️ I’m so happyyyyy 🥰
Cold water is better for hair and skin but some places cold water is supplying hardwater so lukewarm the water and then wash ❤
Hot water works good for me because i have low porosity hair
thank you!
I just shampoo my hair with WARM(not hot)water and wash out the conditioner in cold water to seal the pores. So i onto get cold at the end of my shower.
i only wash my hair in cold water since i have bright red hair and dont want the color to fade and my hair quality got so much better. But i could never let the cold water on my body, i always bend over and wash only hair and scalp and then put in the bun and wash my body with hot watter.
I took a swim in the river for 3 whole days without any shampoo or conditioner and with no shower or bath for 3 nights as well and of course the river was cold. My hair is thin and it easily gets oiled every day or 2 days but my hair was soft and healthy. As the generations go by the old ways of the hair growth vanishes with the past. Even the boar brushes need to be the right kind that they used to use!
i use hot water when shampooing my hair and cold or warm water for conditioning
Good info 👍. I definitely give it a try, thanks.
Thanks alot ❤
Very beneficial video Thx ❤🎉❤❤❤❤
I do hot water then a cold cold cold 🥶 rinse on my hair and scalp until my hair is saturated in cold water let it sit for a minute to close the colicls and then done
When i saw those helping videos for the hair. I swear you saved my hairrrr i had done things wrong and my hair would fall so much but after i saw this video i tried it and omg it went cute. Ily so much
the hot water result is probably everyone’s hair (if ur living in saudi arabic like me) because the only option here is hot water or lava water
What about both? Hot for shampoo then cold for conditioner?
This video is impressive, thanks for sharing it.
can low porosity hair use cold water to wash of conditioners?
I always start off with hot then when applying I turn it to luke warm and rinse with the same temperature and then when rinsing out conditioner I turn it cold 😊
How long didnt you wash your hair prior to the warm wash and the cold wash? Because you naturally do shed and the longer there's between washes the more naturally shed hair will come out during the wash. So this might be an important variable too.
the thumbnail is misinformation. your hair was smoother with cold water, but in the thumbnail, it was opposite. pls be more careful with your thumbnail!
It’s of course a way to make you click on the video- to find out if it’s true or not. Pretty smart actually. 😂
@@stelliaaahypocrisy
@@Trying2study ?? I’m sorry, what did I say in anyway that is “hypocrisy?” I don’t really understand.
@@stelliaaa I meant its hypocrite to add something in the thumbnail that is different from what's inside the video..
@Trying2study ? I don't think that's the definition of hypocrite, budy.
It's just a clickbait. Most youtubers use it as it's very effective to get more views. If people are going into conclusions based of thumbnails on youtube then it's they're problem.
Why the clickbait tho- now people who haven’t watched this will think the cold one is bad
❤❤can you do a video sleeping 8 hours to 9 hours whole week to see if there's a result
Can I use conditioner on every wash or only once a week??? (I wash my hair 2-3 times a week)
i wash with warm, lukewarkm, and cold in the same shower every shower
It's definitely good to have a balance. Warm vs cool (not hot vs cold) 🔥❄️
2:24 This is my favourite part
so this is why after doing an oil treatment my hair still feels so dry as if i used a whole bottle of shampoo.. it's because i basically boil myself when i shower D: i thought it was because of the shampoo i used, but now i finally know why this happens
First of all, you are very beautiful! 🤩Thank you. The video was really interesting, useful and even fun 🧖♀️💆♀️👍
the things you do for us
DORO IS MY HAIRCARE GURU
I use warm to begin the hair wash and end it with cold water to rinse it off conditioner
But how do you people have so shiny and silky hair.... Do you use something extra for that
.. Or something.. Please tell me
And also how do you dry your hair without brakeage....
Like when I air dry I see alot of hair falling.. But when I use heat, I see no shine at all
Why not just use warm water? Why use the extreme level of temperatures when you can choose a middle ground. Warm water is the best. Hot water hurts/burns my scalp, and it makes my scalp and hair dry& itchy but cold water makes my hair unbrushable, hard to wash, very painful to wash, the hair gets so stiff (it's hard to move around), and it doesn't get cleaned that well. So in the end warm water is always the best choice (at least for me).
I do half hot half cold ill start medium then go colder then end with hot and before I get out I use cold water for the last minute while I wash out my conditoner my hair loves it
I use warm water after deep oiling but other days i go for cold water...this works for me.
I use luke warm water in order to clean my scalp because i shower once a week. But after conditionner i finish with cold water bit still my hair is still freezy
Same! But I have quite curly hair, so I'm trying to embrace the fact that I'm always going to have frizz, since it comes with having my hair type. :/
I need this ..thnk u so much ❤love from India
Hey doro your videos are so helpful..it helps me alot 😩❤️nowadays I'm facing lot's of hair shedding ..and I'm so confused how can I stop my hairfall ..can you please recommend something doro ??!! 🥺🥺🥺love from India..stay safe ..have a good dayy ❤
Keep your hair shaft hydrated and use rosemary oil or water on scalp❤
Tbh rosemary water helps alot to control hairloss. I would say that the rosemary oil really helps to regrow hair. Even I'm facing hairloss, even after using soft water for my hair. I think it's bcz rainy season in India plus I had huge hairloss during winter. Idk mahn what's gonna happen but now my hair is lot more manageable than before. Rosemary oil didn't really helped me with controlling hairloss but I can see new hair on my scale. My mom too had lots of hair loss but when she started using rosemary water, her hair falling decreased. I'm also gonna use rosemary water n come with review.
@@Itsme-ud4ze ok☺️ you can use rosemary water daily for max results and yes don't forget to take a gap of a month after using rosemary water straight for 3 months and yes whenever you have hairloss or hairfall plzzz focus on regrowth rather than the hairfall or loss☺️all the best
Hi love ❤️ I’m sorry you are going through that right now 🥺 there are many tips you can try so I’ll suggest you to check my hair loss video is very complete 🫶🏽 hugs
It all depends on hair porosity
ayo?! I already do your both cold and warm rine, I knew cold water was good for your hair but I couldn't use it for my whole shower so I guess I accidentally stumbled upon a good balance
how I wash for the best results is shower and shampoo with luke warm water, then shower you hair with ice cold water after for clean but silky hair
Shampoo with warm rinse with cold
Hi in a recent video made a serum
With rosemary water, alovera etc
Do we have to keep that diy serum in fridge? And how long is shelf life

Lukewarm water is the answer!
I do hot water shampoo then rinse the conditioner with cold
i shower in scalding hot temperatures cause i shiver easily and my scalp is always itchy and dry so ill try the combined method

Hi Doro!
Your you are doing well!
I have seen a lot of videos about garlic and honey hair masks. Is it really safe to use, i mean does it cause irritation to the scalp or anything like that. Could you create a video to educate me so that i won't be afraid to try it😅

Hybrid model is always stable i.e. use both hot n cold at different appropriate stages...the end result of this video
I always end a hair wash with cold water, done it for many years since i reas about ut in a book, for the hair health and skin, and no "after sweating"

It's because of our hormones which causes them also stress
Cold water is good for your hair
How long my hair in two weeks?
Your hair looks much better after the hot shower, its not so thin looking as usual. I have also thin hair and I hate when it looks thin, thats why I love when it looks puffy and frizzy. Then it looks like more😀
Be careful what you wish for. You'll end up regretting it.
There are better ways to make it look less thin
You must be joking? I looks dead. Done for. RIP.
