I really like this design. I’ve been wanting to make a rocket stove water heater for my pool where I just run the water from the pump through it but I don’t think this would work for that application correct?
Yes you need something with more output. This system is only for domestic use. No different than if you took an electric heating element out of a hot water tank and dropped it in the pool and expected it to heat all that water.

You could wrap the boiler in a HOT WATER CYLINDER JACKET and PIPE INSULATERS to stop heat loss when the fire is out.

Noted that you can run a pipeline around the fire box where its red hot . Why waste heat .

Paraffin wax is i believe the best thermal battery
I think the temperatures could get the paraffin wax to its flashpoint. 🔥
But I guess at that stage I would be really heading the water.
