No mention of changing the stub shaft in the box which is a common wear point

I have the haynes guide for my van, and would love a tutorial on replacing the outer CV joint. is it best to take the drive shaft out or is it possible to do it with the shaft still connected?

Definitely less frustrating to do it with the driveshaft removed!
