I'm glad to see I'm not the only one... I bought an 07 Avy LTZ (wht/blk) new in early 07... Best truck I have ever owned. It now has over 200k on it and needs work. I recently came upon an 08 Avy LT3 (blk/blk) with just under 28k miles on it. It's like a new truck. I'm currently in the process of transferring all the upgrades I did to the 07 to the 08. I know exactly how you feel when you mentioned about harvesting parts from the old truck to the new one... It's like disrespecting something that's treated you well for many years... lol... I've watched most of your Avalanche videos and subscribed for future Avalanche content..!

I love them, they just work for everything I need. The 07 unfortunately did not have a good life before me and the frame was starting to give out at 150k. This 2012 I picked up though is mint, it has 224k on it now and you'd think it was a 50k mile truck. Engine build should be coming up after the new year, I just have a bunch of other shop projects to finish first.

I bought a 2013 Avalanche LTZ 4X4 brand new and love driving it. I’m currently planning just for fun modifications. I’d love to see all your ideas.

My 07 got the same lift and tire size, 4.10 gears, Circle D converter, built 5.3 and then a built 6.2, full length headers and 3 inch exhaust with a Black Widow muffler and QTP screamer muffler. This 12 is getting another 6.2 with a Truck Norris cam and BTR valvetrain, Kooks headers, same exhaust but with a Corsa Pro Series instead of the Black Widow, and another Circle D converter. Swapping out the front and rear axles from the other truck into this one to replace the 3.42s with the 4.10's. The old 6.2 was a Cam, pushrods, rocker trunion normal build. This one I'm going to send the heads to Frankenstein Engine Dynamics and have them ported, along with either a worked stock intake, BTR equalizer, or Carbon pTR Intake. Few small areas on the body are gonna get repainted, and I already swapped out the front end to a blacked out grill and lights.

How do you like those M1? I have bilstein 6112s on my Tahoe. The ride is great but the lift they provide is only 2.75” and my driver side is sitting 1” higher than the passenger side. Thinking about swapping them for these RC m1

Got just about 6 months on them and I love them. Ride is just a bit softer than the Bilstein 5100's I'm used to, not sure how they compare to the 6112 haven't ridden in something with them yet. The variable valving in them is great. Lower speeds slow compression they are softer and higher speeds faster compression stiff enough to keep it under control without being too harsh and rattling your teeth out.

I am about to install the same kit. I splurged and got the shocks and struts also. Hows the ride vs factory?

For me it felt a little softer over slow bumps (speed bump type stuff) than my other truck with the stock shocks/struts, but on the road the valving is far better than the stock equipment. Rides great

Thanks for responding. I was worried about it riding stiffer. Thanks 👍

How expensive is a kit like this

The base lift kit is only 499.95. That's all you need to do the lift using the factory struts and shocks. I opted to used their M1 shocks and struts so that added an additional 669.90 bringing the total to 1169.85. But you don't have to use anything besides the base kit for 499.95, I just splurged for the hell of it on the extra shocks and struts.
