- How to design a meaningful life? Alfred Adler had some ideas. Adlerian Psychology proposes that each of us has to solve the three life-tasks of community, work, and love to create a life of purpose. Let me share what that looks like and what challenges to look out for in this video.

Hi there 👋🏻
If we haven't met yet, my name is Alina 😊 I'm a German psycholgist and currently in training to become a psychodynamic psychotherapist. If I'm not working in an in-patient psychiatry or reading books, I create content about psychodynamic theory online. My mission is to help people understand themselves better to lead lives that are more free, meaningful, and connected.

Thank you for sharing your video. I am a trainee counsellor and really like Adlerian Psychology. I like how it empowers people to make changes now rather than just focus on the cause of their issue. Thank you 🙏🏼
I recently read the book “The Courage to be Disliked”. It was my first interaction with Adlerian Psychology. I really enjoyed the read and I thereafter found your UA-cam channel and it’s helping me learn more about Adler directly. Thank you
Wonderful to hear my videos are helpful :) Best wishes!
❤ I missed leaving in Germany. It was a culture shock to return to the states. Got into a heartbreaking relationship. I had to learn how to re-event myself, and understand my value.
Love your work. Adlerian work fits well with men's nature.
To reach a community task is an ultimate challenge, once we live in a society period focused on individuals, from the perspective of neoliberalism, driven by social media algorithms.
Another challenge is related to the journey from felling inferiority to striving for superiority. I wonder how to deal with lack of power, which often makes us feel stuck.
Alina, thanks a lot for this great content.
My dog ate my lifestyle, its' my excuse and I am sticking with it.
there is the good boy, and there is the superior boy
So REAL
Another amazing video alina! 😊🙌
Thank you so much, Miguel. Such a kind comment 😊
Thank you for another wonderful video Alina
That is so kind of you to say. Thank you, Adam!
What does a fulfilling life look like? A deep question that requires a lot of introspection, action and acceptance. Wonderful video Alina 👏 Thanks for your efforts 🙂
It's a deep question indeed. This made me think of one of my favourite quotes from Rilke (a German poet): "Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer." -- Thank you for your comment, Megh! Best wishes, Alina
Wow!! What a wonderful quote. It resonated immediately with me 👏
Thanks!
Thank you for the contribution :)
Meaningful & inspiring as always.
Thank you for such a generous comment! I appreciate it.
Thank you, your video is so good
Glad to hear that! Thank you so much.
adlerian therapy/individual psychology makes perfect sense... im trying to incorporate this in my own life, but also in my practice. Do you have suggestions for treating clients? like a roadmap/case conceptualization.. i feel its a whole lot and its hard for me to implement in my roleplays with my colleagues that are also studying to become a Licsensed Professional Counselor. I don't know where to begin, and go from there to reach the end goal of having them successfully, say, develope a loving relationship with their mother and father again. Thank you! I will check out those books you recommended (I already read 1 of the 3, the courage to be disliked).. i love your videos, it is helping me understand it better, I need to take responsibility in learning this and being able to apply it in a smooth way to my client(s).
Thank you , it is very helpful ❤
I'm so glad to hear that!
You are a very good presenter.
Thank you so much!
Love the Adlerian approach. Also Alina's podcast and this channel are great resources that I use in my as an agile coach. 👏
Thank you so much! Yeahy, please all come over and check out my podcast as well :) There will be quite some podcast-exclusive (or early-access) stuff over there - because ever since I discovered the ease of podcasting it got me fired up for more ("I don't gotta decorate the background?? say no more!").
Thanks for your videos. Very informative.
So glad to hear that, Ken! Thank you for your comment.
Thank you for sharing such great and useful ideas. For sure, spreading applicable ideas and methods are part of the social interest concept .🌹🙏
Thank you for your comment. I'm so glad to hear it was helpful! I hope so 😊
Very nice set of videos, this Adlerian Psychology seems logical! This you look at Perennial Psychology? As you said in one of your videos belief is stronger that trust.
Excellent explanation
Thank you!
Enlightening talk indeed! please upload a lecture on the ideas of Enrich Fromm as well.
Thank you so much! I haven't ready Erich Fromm yet but once I do and understand his theories I will :)
You are amazing! The best psychology channel i came across. Your videos are always full of deep and interesting topics. You deserve more subscribers.
This is the sweetest comment! Thank you so much, Ana, that truly means a lot :) Right now I enjoy being small, it allows me to reply to all comments, email, and dms myself. But, who knows, one day my content might reach a bigger audience. Thanks for being here :)

Could you suggest some best books to read for gaining competence & confidence after some setbacks or hard times to keep going in ambiguity without being stuck in inaction..
Can you make a video where you talk to ChatGPT about Adlerian Psychology? I think it would be fun/interesting...
