A wonderful investment towards living Your BEST Life!! Love this and can’t wait to see your future adventures as you continue to discover and enjoy The Villages! Thanks for sharing. Happy Thursday! ❤️🚲🚲❤️
I recently got the 500XL, best thing I've gotten for myself in years. Put about 80 miles a week on it. These things are total game changers if you love to ride but are getting older and don't quite have the mojo you used to have. These e-bikes will have you back out on the road real quick.
Fun video. Keep the 22 mile rides up and your good active retirement years will be extended. I have had my Lectric XP for 18 months and it changed my life. Cheers from the Okanagan B.C.
Hi Jerry and Linda, oh and Gizmo too. My wife Janet and I started watching you guys well over a year ago, around the time my cousin, who retired and moved from New York, was looking for a place to retire. During her contemplation, she stayed with her son's family in Georgia. After a short time her brother, who already lived i Florida, suggested The Villages. She visited The Villages, liked it and subsequently moved there. While she was checking out The Villages, Janet and I went on UA-cam to get more info on the community and that's when we ran into you guys. We've been watching both of you ever since. You two strike us as good, down to earth people that would be good friends with. We are not in the market for a home, however, but I believe my cousin is just a short leap south of the Florida Turnpike. When we one day visit my cousin, it would be great if we could meet up.Apologies for this drawn out message. Stay healthy and safe and "we'll see you when WE get there."
Hi , had no idea Bikes made so Magnificent for older people. We don't know your friend from Madison Indiana. We had a warm up, yay 62 today.... Thanks for sharing your "toys"
Hey guys keep those promos coming. Your effort and energy should be rewarded. I have an E-mountain bike in Utah that I love. No apologies, just enjoy the ride. Life is too short to hate people that are smart enough to just live the e-bike life. Really fun and those without e-assist will hate those of us that are loving our bikes. My Turbo Levo Comp cost 6k so yours is a bargain. You both rock!
Hey! That is a great purchase, I hope to see y'all during my cycling days when I head up North of 44. Be careful; Thanks for the great video, I am a Bike addict.
Looks like fun. Also looks like a great way for someone who has been a little inactive (won't mention any names), to get some exercise without any injuries.
Great video Jerry and Linda. We are taking a look at it, and if we decide to purchase, we will certainly use your link. If we get these bikes, let's meet up for a ride sometime. See you on the paths!
Great to see you both on the ebikes again, and those are so cheap when compared to here in the U.K. I’ve just returned from a 30 mile ride which at 83 years old I couldn’t do without power assist. Great review thanks. Keep em coming.
@@eb1684 I think you’re right about the VAT as I believe it was universal in the EU countries. Strange that you note about the high quality of British goods. While I agree, I consider German goods to be of high quality. I’ve not been to Cambridge much at all, as I’m in the North East, quite close to the Ancestral home of George Washington which I passed on my bike ride today. I couldn’t agree more with you about London. I have a daughter living and working there, and I hate going to visit her there because of the sheer numbers of people sharing the same space. Give me Florida anytime, I lived in Mid-Florida Lakes in Leesburg for some years, but circumstances finally brought me back to the UK.
I bought a Ride1UP 700ST a year ago. I never got to ride it because my best friend rode it once and she never got off. So, now I own 2 of them. Best thing I ever bought. We have ridden them as far as 50 miles on a single charge. She rides too fast and has had hers as high as 33 miles per hour for short spurts. I compared them to a lot of other e-bikes before I bought them. Money well spent and a lot of fun.
You guys are having the time of your life. Thank you for your videos! We are considering retiring to Florida, maybe The Villages, so your videos are very helpful. We wonder if one would become less excited about all the activities and not do them so much, but Still have to pay the fees that you speak about. Again, thank you! Linda Post
Thanks for all the great information!! Keep on riding!! We visited the Villages back in October 2019 and are planning a second visit in May this year. Your videos have provided great insight on what to expect. We hope to move early in 2022.
Great video about the ebikes. Here in NY , we now have citibikes that are ebikes. Do you plan to take them when you go shopping? Will need some baskets, maybe? Nice that your bike-ways are so smooth and flat.do they have kickstands? Cool display, almost like a car! Might need a carrier for Gizmo!!!! And a little helmet with goggles!!!!
6 foot 3! We're going to have to start calling you Kareem Abdul-Jerry! or would you prefer Magic Jerry? And get a basket for Gizmo to ride in. Gizmo is the ultimate e-bike accessory
Nice video! I have a GoCycle which is a very comfortable, easily maneuverable ebike. It is great for getting up hills and crossing streets quickly. Hope to see you on the trails!
People may laugh at Linda`s bell, however here in Europe they tend to be on most city bikes. They are especially good for when you are on paths with other bikers who you want to pass or walkers. There is nothing worse than being “surprised”, when walking (like with your dog!) by a bike that suddenly appears next to you as he passes. The more “profi” riders don`t use them but I always thank people for ringing as they approach so that I can move over and let them pass safely AND save myself from being run over!!
As a long time bike rider here in the states, I am a firm believer in the handlebar bell. it does not sound like any other thing in the urban environment and gets the attention of walkers who are either talking to each other and while taking up the entire width of the pathway, or may be using earbuds. It often cuts through even those. And yes, it is startling to have a rider suddenly blow past a walker with no warning. A bell is a courtesy and should be mandatory as a safety feature as well. It's getting too crowded out here these days. I fact, I avoid paths as much as possible, preferring the streets unless the path is a shorter route. Most of Europe is way ahead of the US regarding bike path etiquette.
Will look at getting one of these bikes. I have been wanting a E bike for awhile now. The bike trails are one of the attractive features of the villages for me. Planning a lifestyle visit in the near future. Love your videos, content and your positive attitudes .
Awesome video - want to try those e-bikes! Looks like you were riding in (soon-to-be) our Marsh Bend during part of the video! Love your customizations Linda ⭐️
Hi Guys, thanks for the great site! Jerry, just wanted to suggest that you pick up one or two suspension seat posts. They make a huge difference in the ride.
We just ordered a new more cushioned seat.. and may just have to add a new seatpost. They really are comfortable as they come… but every little bit more comfortable you get means you can ride the farther.
Thank you, for this video. I was hoping Linda would tell me how comfortable she is on hers. I currently have a Lectric bike, but I don't feel comfortable on it because the bar on the bottom going across to the handle bars is too long and I don't like the handle bar with the throttle, it's too big for my hand. I am afraid of it because it just doesn't feel like a good fit. I like your much better, I think it would be a much better fit. I think I told you a while back I am only 4'11' too.
She has tried other bikes, but the the Ride1up ST 500 is the most comfortable for her. She has a little trouble at stop signs because she's only 411 and she's on her tippy toes when she stops.
Nice video. I noticed no body is making videos of things like the Archery Ranges, Shooting Ranges, Radio Controlled boats and cars. I'd be interested in those if you ever decide to shoot some.
Great video and what a fun way to spend the day! I definitely want to start bike riding, but because I broke my hip (It's repaired now) I will not be getting a two wheeler, but a three wheeler. This way I can be sure I will not spill over. Can't afford another fall! I think that would be the safest way for me to enjoy cycling through out The Villages. I believe I can get the three wheeler with peddle assist also. Keep doing those fun things and enjoying life!
Those bike are awesome! Thanks so much for sharing tis video...really interesting. I am curious how far (or maybe it's measured in time rather than distance...so how long) can you ride before you need to recharge the bike's battery? Does your display on the bike keep you informed of how much battery you have left? Would hate to ride 20 miles and then find out I am out of juice and can't get 20 miles back to where I started. Thanks! Linda likes her seat and handle accent color because they are Gizmo colored :-)
Linda could probably ride 50 miles or more. Yes, if you look at the picture of the colored display on Jerry's bike, you can see a graph that shows exactly how much of the battery has been used. We have gone 20 miles plus and used to less than half of the battery. There are lights also that you can check the amount of juice left in the battery.
I enjoyed watching your e-bikes! Linda, you are so cute and tiny! I am 5'2, so glad to see someone shorter than me! Those bikes are beautiful! Your garage looks so neat and beautiful! Did you put those cabinets in yourself, or did they come with the house! They look beautiful! Happy Riding!
Jerry, after watching, I am interested in a purchase of a 700 st. I'm about same size as you, so looking at the bike web site I see nothing about the adjustment parts for the handlebar, (riser bar) to make it a more comfortable ride. Can you tell me about that? Thanks
What a joy to watch both of you enjoying your new E-bikes! Congratulations!! And thank you for the recommendation. Question...what model is recommended for Gizmo? :)
Thank you for posting another informative video. Thank you Linda for mentioning your height and enjoy your e-bike; it helps to encourage the wife for us to get one as well (as she is also 4'11") 8-) Thank you.
My neighbor fell on hers so please be careful. She injured her ankle as it fell on her but it seems the heavy batteries are getting lighter? I rented one and did a tour with Pedo Bikes. It was a blast! We rode along the beach in the sand for several hours. It was a perfect tour before moving here. I notice you rode without the heavy batteries? Probably a good idea.
H by Kansas on charger. They are exactly the same however so we only use one and charged 1 bike, then charged the other. Yes there is a meter on the battery and there is a Gauge on the display.
Great video. How did you find this bike ?Did u do much research on them if so what other brands did u look at ? I think they would b great for my mom .
No lock. There are a zillion you can buy elsewhere. We researched them pretty good and found that most locks are easily defeated. Still, they keep honest people honest.
FYI - you can get a Rad Mission for $1099.00. There is a bill in the House pertaining to a $1500.00 tax credit for purchasing an e-bike of $7,000 or less. Whether it will make it through is yet to be determined.
Ebikes have fat tires, so that helps. Some do have optional training wheels. They are called different things such as “adult stabilizer” wheels. Some training wheels made for regular bikes can fit some ebike models.
You must have taped this very early in the morning to have no one on the trail. At 60 pounds, that would be quite a struggle to get it back home if the battery or anything else failed.
Hey Jerry a questions for you when we move down should I bring my gas lawn mower? It's an all wheel drive lunker and knowing the size of the Yards I don't think I need such a big push mower . Do people have electric lawn mowers down there for the smaller yards? I'll sell mine in the rummage sale if you don't think it's worth bringing down.
We did not, because $50 a month to cut, weed eat, edge, and blow the clippings, is cheap. We don't have to store gas, oil, lawn mower, weed eater, and edger.
Aurora, we would have... bought the accessories from the bike shop but they were out of mirrors, bells and phone holders at the time he assembled our bikes. We purchased them at Amazon.
*Love the **Latest.Bike** ! Comfy, fast enough for what I need it for. Not great on hills, but I don't plan on driving it on hills. Great for cruising around town!*

They roll smoothly... You're right though. Much easier with the assist.
When a work bench is that clean and scratch free, you can tell it is seldom used
Or... new!
How comfortable are the seats? I have seen other people replace the seats with Cloud 9.
Fine, we are not used to riding more than 5 miles .. it is getting easier.
Great fun. Jerry did you choose all the add on’s when ordering bike or from the bike shop that assembled ebike?
Yes sea level is great flat riding👍
Aurora, we would have... bought the accessories from the bike shop but they were out of mirrors, bells and phone holders at the time he assembled our bikes. We purchased them at Amazon.
@@JERRYANDLINDA what about the riser bar? I too like handlebar level not lower.
Can you share the link for the items you purchased from Amazon?
